House intelligence Report....An oxymoron of epic proportions....especially with nunes as its head idiot.....time for change!!

Just one more conformation that the Mueller investigation started with a trumped up Democrat conspiracy theory.

This was a corrupt attempt to usurped a legitimately elected president.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

On Friday they released the majority report of its “investigation” into the Russian ratfcking of the 2016 presidential election and what connection to and/or involvement in it the Trump campaign might have had. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the Republican majority absolves the president* and his campaign of any involvement whatsoever.

They trained their fire more sharply on Democrats and other perceived opponents of Mr. Trump. Republicans criticized the Obama administration for a “slow and inconsistent” response to Russia’s active measures. They faulted the F.B.I. for its “largely inadequate” notification of victims of Russian hacking and for its surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page, long a source of conservative complaints.

The Republicans accused American intelligence agencies of failing to use “proper analytic tradecraft” in deducing in their January 2017 assessment President Vladimir V. Putin’s strategic objectives for the interference campaign. The report does not specify what those intentions are, but an earlier version disputed that Mr. Putin had been working to harm Hillary Clinton and aid Mr. Trump’s campaign. And they admonished Mrs. Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee for hiring Fusion GPS, a research firm, to investigate ties between Trump associates and Russia. The firm in turn hired Christopher Steele, a former British spy, who produced a salacious dossier outlining a conspiracy between the campaign and the Russians.

We reviewed every piece of relevant evidence provided to IJS and interviewed ·every witness we assessed would substantively contribute to the agreed-upon bipartisan scope of the investigation. We acknowledge that Investigations by other committees, the Special Counsel, the media, or interest groups will continue and may find facts that were not readily accessible to the Committee or outside the scope of our investigation.

And again, instead of being anylytical without an ounce of non partisan analysis, it's just the Coldheartedtruth. No collusion!! Repeat 20 times like he did on the Fox and Friends insane rant.

The Democrats are free to release their own report (I somewhat suspect they won't).

If they do, I suspect it will be much like the first report. A lot of hyperbole and political sniping around the edges but it will not dispute the basic conclusions of the Republican report.

It's a bitch when the truth is against you Roger isn't it?

During open hearings, Republicans on the committee often seemed more interested in pursing leaks to the press than investigating Russia’s widespread efforts to sabotage the American election.

The Democrats are free to release their own report (I somewhat suspect they won't).

The Democrats released their own version of the report, which looked pretty much like the Schiff rebuttal of the first release of the Intelligence committee findings.

It largely focused on repeating things that we already know (and that were in the actual report) but made it clear that they thought that they were more important than the actual report provides for. It also suggested that things were not followed up on, or that certain leads were not chased down aggressively enough.

A good example is that they had several paragraphs regarding Carter Page being in Russia. They made a lot of hey over the fact that he had claimed that he did not meet with any Russian government officials while in Russia. That he was there to deliver a commencement speech.

However it was said that he "spoke briefly" to a Deputy from Medvedev's cabinet who was in attendance... as if his whole trip to Russia was a cover to spend a couple of minutes with a Russian economist to "collude" over the election.

It starts to beg the question as to exactly how many Russians and Trump associates were all "in on the conspiracy" and why (if it went all the way down to Carter Page and some economist) they can't uncover it?

The report states several times that Page "lied" about this, but yet Page has not been charged with any sort perjury or misleading statements... largely because one would think that having a few words with someone who is at the same event you are at, is not the same thing as having a "meeting" with someone. Also I am not sure that Page ever actually denied speaking to the Deputy.

There is also a lot of talk regarding anyone from the Trump administration (even post election) discussing sanctions with Russians, as if this is somehow illegal, of course broadening the scope of collusion from just Russian officials to anyone who is remotely tied to Russian businesses. All of them are apparently "in on the conspiracy".

Of course, this is always the problem with disproving a conspiracy theory. Those who hold on to it will never accept the lack of evidence as being proof of anything other than a cover up or a lack of effort.

CH you know damn well that you can have an investigation that will have the desired outcome by limiting the data available that contradicts the desired outcome. The Republicans didn't allow the Democrats subpoena that may have altered the desired results of the investigation. I don't think that the Republicans were non partisan as this committee was initiated as non partisan. Noonan has violated the intent and you stand behind it because your over the top partisan belief that the "Fake New" and the DOJ/ FBI are partisan. Its you who is over the top partisan.

The June 9th meeting has been exposed s far more than you believe too. A Russian lawyer who promised damaging information to President Donald Trump's campaign on Hillary Clinton in 2016 admitted to being an informant for a top Kremlin official, The New York Times reported.

Natalia Veselnitskaya, who met in June 2016 with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and other Trump associates at Trump Tower, declared her previously undisclosed relationship with Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Y. Chaika in an interview with NBC News. The interview is set to be aired Friday, according to the Times.

"I am a lawyer, and I am an informant," she said. "Since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the office of the Russian prosecutor general."

This acknowledgement contradicts Veselnitskaya's previous statement in November to the Senate Judiciary Committee as part of its investigation of Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election. She said then that she worked exclusively as a private lawyer with no professional ties to the Russian government.

Well Rog.. an investigation isn't supposed to have a desired outcome that is in danger of being contradicted. An investigation is supposed to uncover the truth, whatever that may be.

At some point in time, somebody on the left has to admit that if there really was actual Russian Trump collusion (that does not involve random people who know Trump taking to random people who are Russians) then we might be actually seeing "real" evidence of it by now.

After all Comey lead an investigation for nearly a year, and according to all FBI sources, they never uncovered anything. Peter Strzok own text messages suggested that he didn't have interest in joining the special counsel because he felt that the collusion angle was a "dead end".

The House Intelligence investigation that you are criticizing started in Jan of 2017. That is fifteen months of investigating. You can complain all you want about not looking hard enough, but fifteen months of looking is a pretty substantial investigation by all objective accounts.

We have a Special Counsel that has been investigating this for nearly another year, and by all accounts have come up blank in terms of collusion, and have supposedly moved on to other areas.

At what point, Rog... does this end? How long do you continue to keep looking for something that quite honestly has always been incredibly unlikely to begin with?

Right here Scott.

MOSCOW — The Russian lawyer who met with Trump campaign officials in Trump Tower in June 2016 on the premise that she would deliver damaging information about Hillary Clinton has long insisted she is a private attorney, not a Kremlin operative trying to meddle in the presidential election.

But newly released emails show that in at least one instance two years earlier, the lawyer, Natalia V. Veselnitskaya, worked hand in glove with Russia’s chief legal office to thwart a Justice Department civil fraud case against a well-connected Russian firm.

Ms. Veselnitskaya also appears to have recanted her earlier denials of Russian government ties. During an interview to be broadcast Friday by NBC News, she acknowledged that she was not merely a private lawyer but a source of information for a top Kremlin official, Yuri Y. Chaika, the prosecutor general.

“I am a lawyer, and I am an informant,” she said. “Since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the office of the Russian prosecutor general.”

The previously undisclosed details about Ms. Veselnitskaya rekindle questions about who she was representing when she met with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and others at Trump Tower in Manhattan during the campaign. The meeting, one focus of the special counsel investigation into Russia’s election interference, was organized after an intermediary promised that Ms. Veselnitskaya would deliver documents that would incriminate Mrs. Clinton.
The July meeting was collusion beyond a doubt, because Donald Trump Jr. set up the meeting, with his father's knowledge and probably consent, because the she said that she had shit on Clinton.

Ms. Veselnitskaya had long insisted that she met the president’s son, son-in-law and campaign chairman in a private capacity, not as a representative of the Russian government.

“I operate independently of any governmental bodies,” she wrote in a November statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I have no relationship with Mr. Chaika, his representatives and his institutions other than those related to my professional functions as a lawyer.”

But that claim had already been undercut last fall by revelations that her talking points for the Trump Tower meeting — detailing tax and financial fraud accusations against two Democratic Party donors tied to a Kremlin opponent — matched those in a confidential memorandum circulated by Mr. Chaika’s office.

Muller has run a tight shop, unlike the Watergate investigation.

I have two problems with your assumptions:

1: FAKE NEWS.

2: DOJ/FBI corruption.

Both used by the President for his own purposes. It is propaganda and that's all it is. You don't even watch the news. but you claim using the party line that they are all fake except for Fox. This is how dictatorships succeed. They get intelligent people to think in ways they are told without question.

How fake news destroyed the reputation of a good man:

The White House on Friday said officials had conducted a thorough review of presidential physician Ronny L. Jackson’s vehicle records and found three minor incidents but no evidence that he “wrecked” a car after drinking at a Secret Service going-away party, as was alleged in a document released by Senate Democrats this week.

The crash stood out as one of the most serious allegations in the two-page document, which also detailed accusations that Jackson drank on the job, improperly prescribed and dispensed medications, and created a “toxic” work environment. The Navy rear admiral withdrew his bid to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs on Thursday, less than 24 hours after the allegations came to light.

Although many news outlets, including The Washington Post, have described anonymous accounts of some of the other charges, no evidence has publicly surfaced that the crash happened since Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) authorized the release of the allegations on Wednesday. Jackson has vehemently denied all of the allegations.

Also Friday, the Secret Service issued a statement denying the details of a published report that agents had intervened on an overseas trip to prevent Jackson from bothering then-President Barack Obama. According a report from CNN, Jackson had pounded on another White House official’s hotel room door close enough to the president’s room to risk disturbing him.

“A thorough review of internal documents related to all Presidential foreign travel that occurred in 2015, in addition to interviews of personnel who were present during foreign travel that occurred during the same time frame, has resulted in no information that would indicate the allegation is accurate,” the statement reads.

These are the people who Rogers says we must listen to to stay informed.

Presidential self destruction syndrome.

White House doctor drank alcohol on the job and freely handed out prescription drugs. Jackson denied those accusations, then withdrew his nomination to be Trump’s secretary of veterans affairs.

So I have come to conclude that the fault is not in our stars, but in my own personal misdiagnosis of what ails Donald Trump. Given his recent history of self-defeating statements, the president is clearly not suffering through the early stages of dementia , but is afflicted instead by the political equivalent of self-harm syndrome. What else could explain continued rants so personally destructive that no rational person — let alone a sitting president — would behave in such a way?

This is not about Trumpian political disruption. It is, instead, a study in self-immolation. And one of the many tragedies of Donald Trump’s life is that there is no one on this Earth who can save this tortured man from himself. Not even the honorable Dr. Jackson.
