If you are young and not a liberal - then you developed your brain early

Exclusive: Democrats lose ground with millennials - Reuters/Ipsos poll
Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among young voters - so-called millennials - as its candidates head into the crucial midterm congressional elections, according to the Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll.
The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy.

As much as support for Democrats is waning among the millennials, there doesn't appear to be even this sort of support from the generation after millennials. At my youngest's son's school in 2016 they held a mock election.  Not only did Donald Trump win in a landslide, but there were "write in candidates" that got more votes than Hillary Clinton. In the eyes of my son and his friends (they are freshmen in high school), there was simply nothing "cool" about Hillary or the Democrats.

The inherent problem for Democrats is that every generation likes to rebel against the establishment. Right now, in nearly every school out there, the "establishment" is made up of a bunch of old stuffy teachers and faculty who want to ram yesterday's non-cool liberal ideals down their collective throats. Talking to friends that have children the same age as mine, confirm that they also see a push back from what they are being "taught". One conversation I was told about was in regards to a student trying to understand why the "teachers" are trying to "teach" the students that there are "multiple genders" when science clearly shows that there is only two.

Politics is always going to be a pendulum. The harder you attempt to swing it in one direction, the faster and further it is going to swing back the other way.

Israel has long opposed the agreement, while Washington’s major European allies have urged the Trump administration not to abandon it and argue that Iran is abiding by its terms.

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy organization said on Monday that Iran has the technical capability to enrich uranium to a higher level than it could before the multinational deal was reached.

“Technically, we are fully prepared to enrich uranium higher than we used to produce before the deal was reached... I hope Trump comes to his senses and stays in the deal,” Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted by Iranian state television as saying.

Israel is widely believed to be the only nuclear-armed state in the Middle East, though it neither confirms nor denies possessing atomic weapons.

A decline in Millennial support for Democrats does not translate to a corresponding increase in support for Republicans. Millennials on the whole have become skeptical of both parties and are on their way to becoming the most independent- or third-party-registered generation in history.

If anything, it's a testament to how big of an opportunity the Republicans blew by nominating Trump. With entitlements like Social Security and Medicare set to collapse before Millennials retire, and many of them being well aware of that fact, Millennials were ripe for belatedly but finally being won over by the limited government principles of the Republican Party of yesteryear.

Instead, the Republicans under Trump have transformed into a huge-government party determined to leave Millennials with an even bigger bill than ever to pay for. And in an even bigger blunder, the Republican strategy for appealing to the most ethnically and culturally diverse generation in American history seems to have been to let the KKK write half of the Republican platform.

As for those younger than Millennials, Generation Tide Pod has already shown itself to be the most narcissistic, entitled, accountability-averse, and let's just say it--STUPID--bunch of lemmings in American history. It's not at all surprising that those condom-snorting fuckheads would pull for Trump in a mock election.

President Donald Trump should be awarded Nobel Peace Prize, South Korean leader says

President Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize if anyone gets the award for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Monday.

“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. All we need is to bring peace,” Moon said, according to the Blue House, Seoul’s equivalent of the White House.

Moon made the comment after reading a message from Lee Hee-ho, the widow of late South Korean president Kim Dae-jung, congratulating Moon for Friday’s historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, The Korea Timesreported.

Lee’s note suggested that Moon should be awarded the prestigious prize, but Moon said Trump deserves the honor, according to the Blue House.

Lee’s husband, who was president from 1998 to 2003, is the nation’s sole Nobel Peace Prize laureate. He won the prestigious award for his own historic summit with North Korea in 2000. He met with then-North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, the deceased father of Kim Jong Un.

Clapper hit for dossier leak dodge in House GOP Russia report

Former intelligence chief James Clapper is facing scrutiny for allegedly providing “inconsistent testimony” to the House Intelligence Committee regarding his discussions with the media about the anti-Trump dossier.

The claim was contained in the report released Friday by House Intelligence Committee Republicans.

The report declared investigators had found “no evidence” of collusion between Trump campaign associates and Russia -- findings that Democrats vehemently disputed. But while the report was touted by Trump allies, it could cause problems for Clapper, the director of national intelligence under the Obama administration.

The report stated that in a private interview with the committee on July 17, 2017, Clapper’s response wavered regarding his media contacts over the dossier. He initially denied those contacts, yet later admited to discussing the dossier contents with Jake Tapper of CNN, where Clapper landed a job after leaving government.

“When initially asked about leaks related to the ICA in July 2017, former DNI Clapper flatly denied ‘discussing the dossier [compiled by Steele], or any other intelligence related to Russia hacking of the 2016 election with journalists’,” the report read.

But the report stated that Clapper “subsequently acknowledged discussing the ‘dossier with CNN journalist Jake Tapper,’ and admitted that he might have spoken with other journalists about the same topic.”

Clapper became a CNN national security analyst in August 2017, just one month after his "executive interview" with the committee.

According to the report, Clapper’s communication with Tapper took place in early January, around the same time leaders of the intelligence community briefed then-President Barack Obama and President-elect Trump on “the Christopher Steele information.” The report noted the dossier was provided in a “two-page summary.”

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was not happy when comic Michelle Wolf went after his daughter during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner mocking her to her face about her appearance.

But Sanders dealt with it with grace.

And Huckabee put the blame for it where it belonged – with the White House Correspondents’ Association who had hired Wolf to host the event.

From Biz Pac Review:

"The WHCD was supposed to celebrate the 1st Amendment. Instead they celebrated bullying, vulgarity, and hate. They got all dressed up so they would look nicer when they had a hired gun savagely attack their guests. Do they really wonder why America has no respect for them? Sad!” Huckabee tweeted."

He made it clear it wasn’t about the First Amendment, but about being hypocrites.

"Those who think that the tasteless classless bullying at the WHCD was an example of the 1st Amendment should never condemn bullying, bigoted comments, racist bile or hate speech. People should be free to speak but held accountable for it,” he tweeted."

Even some of the liberal media was upset with the attacks because of the focus on Sanders’ appearance.

Huckabee thanked New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman for having the “guts” to condemn Wolf’s “performance, and expressed concern that his grandchildren may one day see the assault on their mother.

“Sincere and heartfelt THANKS to @maggieNYT for having guts to publicly denounce the vicious vile attack on @PressSec at WHCD. @PressSec handled it professionally but I pray her kids never see that. I pray more they never bully another person like that,” he tweeted.

And he saved a special blast for the comic, Michelle Wolf.

“After seeing the young female hired to verbally bully anyone who worked for @realDonaldTrump I now understand why eating Tide Pods is popular. That level of vulgarity is best handled with a mouth washed out w/ soap. Have some more Tide Pods,” the Republican politician tweeted.

He got that right.

Wolf may just have put a stake in the tradition of the dinner.

And at the very least she revealed why it was justified for Trump to blow it off and why it’s likely he’ll never show up for the next one.

Why is it that I can remember explaining to you that stock buybacks are exactly what the Republicans were promising wouldn't happen much, that it was the fundamental justification of the tax cut that the money would go into material purchases, business expansion, the labor force? And specifically NOT stock buybacks - because that's basically a big money transfer to the people who have the most stocks. One person acknowledged that I was right, but didn't understand that it was the opposite of aims of the tax cut and that taxpayers would never accept a tax hike, or future debt, just so that companies could purchase their own stock for a short-term bump in price.

Even Republican primary candidates are admitting it now.
