But, but, but... Trump lies you know!

Obama:
  • Average family will save $2500/year from Obamacare
  • If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor
  • If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance
  • My stimulus plan will create 4 million new jobs
  • Not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS targeting scandal
  • ISIS is the JV team
  • He signed into law the biggest middle class tax cut in history
  • Benghazi was because of a YouTube video
  • A President cannot pass amnesty through executive action

Bush:
  • Nobody could have conceivably imagined suicide bombers flying into buildings
  • We know where the WMD are located in Iraq
  • Iraq was harboring Al Qaeda terrorist
  • Vast majority of tax cuts will go to those on the bottom end of the spectrum

Clinton:
  • I did not have sexual relations with that woman
  • The Whitewater investigation was a partisan witch hunt over a failed land deal
  • I smoked but never inhaled
  • My budget will cut the deficit by $500 billion

We could continue to Bush 41 (Read my lips, no new taxes) or Ronald Reagan (Iran Contra) or how about Richard Nixon's famous (I am not a crook)... but I think everyone should get the point. Presidents lie. Maybe they shouldn't. But they do. Generally we still judge them on the performance of their job, and the results of their policies. Not on whether or not they told the truth about their love life, or whether or not they overstated a tax cut.

So Trump suggested that he had the biggest inauguration crowd. And?
He suggests that his tax cut was better than it was. So what?
He may have lied about women he may have had sex with. Why do I care?
Trump suggests that we are the highest taxed country? Are we overtaxed?
He might exaggerate immigration statistics. He might overstate crime rates.
He might tell us he's the greatest thing since sliced bread and jelly beans.
He might even suggest he has a cool hair cut.

Why should any of this matter to me?

Ironically, the same people who defended the tangible lies from Obama about real issues that actually effect people seem to be the ones most upset about Trump. But whereas the Obama lies were designed to help pass bad legislation or to cover up incompetency on the part of his administration, the Trump lies seem to be inconsequential to anyone other than fact checkers and those who apparently cannot function normally because we have "another" President who plays with the truth.

So all I can tell those of you impaired with late stage TDS is keep acting as if a President not telling the truth actually matters. It's actually sort of fun to mock and play with. After all,  I am not the one pulling my hair out,  losing sleep, and otherwise fretting. I am the one enjoying the rising economy, applauding the mature choices for our Judicial branch, and sleeping oh so well at night knowing that Hillary Clinton is "not" our President!

You are not being honest. You said that the lies by the others were evidence that they were not component and in Clinton's case you were for #impeachment

Hypocrisy is Scott.

The Incompetent administration isn't going to be able to comply with this order.

The federal judge overseeing the court-ordered reunification of 2,551 migrant children separated from their parents ordered the Trump administration to provide detailed information in order to locate hundreds of what he called “missing parents” the government had deemed ineligible for reunification.

Judge Dana Sabraw of the Southern District of California on Friday mandated that the Trump administration turn over a list by Wednesday of all parents deemed "ineligible" for reunification by the government, including those who have been deported, those who have been released into the United States and those who were not reunited because of criminal history.

Lies don't matter when made by Trump.

He took credit for 3 million jobs “since the election,” even though he did not become president until almost three months later. About 2.5 million jobs have been created since Trump took the oath of office.
He cited his “incredible success” in terms of job growth, even though annual job growth under his presidency has been slower than the last five years of Obama’s term.
He said “wages are going up for the first time in many, many years,” even though they have been rising steadily since 2014.
He once again cited the unemployment rate — especially for African Americans — even though he repeatedly said during his campaign that the unemployment rate was phony and could not be trusted.
He said the border wall was being built even though Congress only provided funds for fencing.
He claimed he had attracted 32,000 people at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., on the eve of the election when the venue held only 4,200 and local media estimated that perhaps that many were waiting outside, for a total of 8,000.
He claimed he had “essentially” gotten rid of Obamacare, when he has not. He also falsely suggested he only failed to pass repeal legislation because of one vote, ignoring the fact that none of the substantive replacement bills got nearly enough votes. Sen. John McCain’s vote was against a “skinny” repeal that was only to lead to talks with the House on a common position, with no guarantee of an agreement that would pass both Houses.
He falsely claimed that Democrats colluded with the Russians, and the whole probe started with “a document that was paid for by the DNC [Democratic National Committee] and Hillary Clinton.” But the DNC was a victim of Russian activities, as its emails were hacked and then released via WikiLeaks. The House Intelligence Committee has confirmed that the FBI’s counterintelligence probe began with a tip from the Australian government, which notified U.S. authorities about a drunken conversation between a Trump campaign aide, George Papadopoulos, and an Australian diplomat in May. Papadopoulos claimed the Russians had “political dirt” on Clinton. The information in the dossier funded by Democrats came to the attention of the FBI later.

He got simple facts wrong, such as claiming that Henry Ford invented the assembly line (it was Ransom Eli Olds) and that Franklin D. Roosevelt served 16 years (it was 12). He also said the European Union was created “to take advantage of the United States” even though it was created after World War II with the aim of ending bloody conflicts on the continent — and with the active support of the United States.
He once again claimed that under the Iran nuclear agreement, the United States gave the country $150 billion. But this was always Iran’s money. Iran had billions of dollars in assets that were frozen in foreign banks around the globe because of international sanctions over its nuclear program. The Treasury Department estimated that once Iran fulfilled other obligations, it would have about $55 billion left. The Central Bank of Iran said the number was actually $32 billion.
He falsely said that major newspapers and television networks make up nonexistent sources. That is grounds for firing in the news business. Sources can certainly be wrong, but they exist.
For the 31st time, he used a made-up number — $7 trillion — for how much the United States supposedly has spent on wars in the Middle East.
He falsely claimed that fired deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe “took $700,000 for his wife’s campaign.” McCabe’s wife ran for Virginia Senate, receiving about $700,000 from then-Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) and the state Democratic Party. But campaign records show that every cent raised for the campaign was spent. McCabe also did not participate in his wife’s campaign.
He once again claimed that President Xi Jinping of China instantly agreed to a request from Trump to allow the sale of U.S. beef after years of blocking it. But China had already agreed to such sales under a deal brokered by the Obama administration.
He said — for the 29th time — that the U.S. trade deficit with China is $500 billion. But it’s really about $300 billion. He also said “we lose about $500 billion” through the trade deficit even though countries do not “lose” money on trade deficits.
He claimed “we have done more than anybody in a year” and “I accomplished more than I promised.” In reality, at the end of his first year, Trump had signed fewer bills than any president since Dwight D. Eisenhower (though he has since caught up and passed Obama and is tied with George W. Bush). As for promises, our Trump Promise Tracker shows Trump has only kept 23 percent of 60 key promises and broken 27 percent.

You find this behavior from the President of the United States. It's not anger that Clinton lost. It's that this man who has betrayed every single Republican past Presidents.

He said again today that he is more popular than Abraham Lincoln.

And you song and dance like an Apprentice on his television show. Scott you have betrayed everything you used to stand for.

The tariffs are going to cost the Republicans in many ways.

Billionaire Charles Koch told reporters at his political network's conference on Sunday that President Trump's trade policies could prove to be "disastrous," per TIME.
"Any protectionism at any level, certainly at a national level, is very detrimental. There are scientific and historical reasons. I mean, every nation that has prospered is one that didn’t engage in trade wars."

But Scott still loves Trump. He is going to cost the farmers in his state MILLIONS.

Hmmmm... according to the official numbers that are tracked by the Congressioanl Budget office:

https://www.cbo.gov/system/files?file=2018-06/51134-2018-04-historicalbudgetdata.xlsx (Tab 1)

Obama racked up 7.756 trillion dollars in 8 years.

40% would be 3.10 trillion dollars.

According to CBO estimates (as of April 2018)

https://www.cbo.gov/system/files?file=2018-07/51118-2018-04-budgetprojections.xlsx (Table 4-1 row 32/33)

We had 715 billion in Trump's first year and a projection for a little over 800 billion this year.

If Trump finished two terms as President, he would rack up an almost identical 7.909 Trillion dollar deficit.

And none of this would be because of a lack of revenue, but rather an increase in Mandatory (entitlement) spending.

I suggest you look through the CBO projections and the historical data Roger, before you shoot your mouth off. Obviously you were relying on someone else doing your thinking for you.

I suspect your argument against looking at the actual CBO numbers yourself... will be to CUT AND PASTE something from one of your liberal sites.

Who do you believe?

President Trump on Sunday intensified his assaults on media organizations that cover him and his administration, dismissing them as unpatriotic and irresponsible.

The attacks followed a tweet from the president in which he revealed that he had met the publisher of The New York Times, A.G. Sulzberger, and outlined some details of their conversation.

Trump tweeted that the two discussed "the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, "Enemy of the People." Sad!"

That drew a sharp response from Sulzberger rebutting the president. According to a statement from the Times, the July 20 meeting was off the record at the request of White House aides. But when the president disclosed the meeting via Twitter, Sulzberger said the off-the-record deal was no longer in effect.

"I told the president directly that I thought that his language was not just divisive but increasingly dangerous," Sulzberger said in the statement, which also revealed that the meeting was also attended by James Bennet, the editorial page editor for the Times.

"I told him that although the phrase 'fake news' is untrue and harmful, I am far more concerned about his labeling journalists 'the enemy of the people,'" Sulzberger said. "I warned that this inflammatory language is contributing to a rise in threats against journalists and will lead to violence."

Sulzberger said throughout their conversation he made clear that if the president had qualms with the coverage of his administration, he was "free to tell the world." But Sulzberger said he implored Trump to reconsider his attacks on journalism, which Sulzberger called "dangerous and harmful to our country."

While the president's first tweet seemed to imply the meeting was positive — he called it "good and interesting" — by Sunday afternoon, he was off on a Twitter tirade, seemingly in response to Sulzberger's statement. "I will not allow our great country to be sold out by anti-Trump haters in the dying newspaper industry," he wrote at one point.

"When the media - driven insane by their Trump Derangement Syndrome - reveals internal deliberations of our government, it truly puts the lives of many, not just journalists, at risk!" Trump tweeted. "Very unpatriotic! Freedom of the press also comes with a responsibility to report the news ... accurately."

Tension between the Trump administration and journalists is particularly intense lately.

Days after the July 20 meeting with Sulzberger, Trump said in a speech to Veterans in Kansas City, Mo., "Don't believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news," he continued a few moments later, "Just remember: What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening."

And as NPR reported, the White House disinvited CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins from attending an open event in the Rose Garden last week because she shouted questions to the president earlier that day. She was a pool reporter representing the larger press corps at the time.

OBIMBO still fucking shit up
"The Obama Foundation has pushed back the groundbreaking date for the Obama Presidential Center after the federal review process was delayed for a second time this summer, officials confirmed Friday.

Instead of starting construction later this year, the foundation is now saying they plan to break ground for the half-billion-dollar project sometime in 2019. Officials avoided setting a specific date during the year. They also would not say if this will change their timeline for building the center, which was once slated to open in 2021."

CBO Finds Budget Deal Will Cost $320 Billion
FEB 8, 2018 | BUDGETS & PROJECTIONS
The Congressional Budget Office has released a series of estimates for the budget deal announced yesterday. The deal would add $320 billion to deficits over the next decade, or almost $420 billion with interest. The bill increases discretionary spending levels by $296 billion over the next two years, includes $89 billion in disaster spending, modest health care changes that roughly net out, and $15 billion in tax cuts from renewing tax breaks that expired at the end of 2016.

As a result of the spending deal and the fact that we already projected deficits to reach $1 trillion next year, the fiscal year 2019 deficit would climb to almost $1.2 trillion.

CH

projection for a little over 800 billion this year.

"So we now find out that it was indeed the unverified and Fake Dirty Dossier, that was paid for by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC, that was knowingly & falsely submitted to FISA and which was responsible for starting the totally conflicted and discredited Mueller Witch Hunt!" the president wrote in a tweet Monday morning.

Trump also continues to suggest that the electronic surveillance of his one-time campaign aide, Carter Page, which was authorized by the FISA warrant, launched the Russia probe.

Both of these assertions are false.

Here is why.

The Russia investigation wasn't launched because of Carter Page.

The heavily redacted documents released Saturday comprise an application to, and subsequent renewals by, judges on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court allowing the FBI to investigate Page, a foreign policy aide to the Trump campaign. But it's already been established by the House Intelligence Committee that the Russia investigation began after the FBI learned that another campaign aide, George Papadopoulos, had been approached by a Russian agent. The agent told Papadopoulos the Russians had incriminating information about Hillary Clinton, including emails, according to court documents.. Papadopoulos then mentioned to an Australian diplomat that the Russians had "dirt" on Clinton, the Australians contacted the U.S. government, and the FBI began to take a look.

The so-called dossier formed only a smart part of the evidence used to meet the legal burden of establishing "probable cause" that Page was an agent of Russia.

The released documents contain dozens of pages that are entirely blacked out. People who have read them, including Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, say they contain secret evidence establishing ties between Page and Russians — evidence that goes beyond what was included in the dossier compiled by Christopher Steele. Frank Figliuzzi, the former FBI counterintelligence chief who is now an NBC News contributor, says that likely includes reporting from human sources and intercepted communications. Page, it should be said, denies that he was an agent of Russia and has not been charged with a crime.

C.H. Truth said...

Well Roger - Your provided a C&P from the NY Times citing "analysis" from a third party done back in February... Which you are using to dispute the more recent and comprehensive April numbers from the CBO.

Sort of bad logic on your part, huh?

But even if it was correct.. you are still about 1.6 trillion dollars short of your 40% claim that you likely got from... um where exactly?

You should quit while you are behind. Your idea of research is simply digs a deeper hole.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

National security experts who have reviewed the document say that even the parts that aren't blacked out contain more than enough information to provide a judge reason to rule that the FBI had probable cause to believe that Page was an agent of Russia.

Probable cause is much lower than the reasonable doubt the standard required to convict someone of a crime. "It's the probability of a possibility," said William Banks, director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University College of Law. Page had already appeared on the FBI's radar as a target of Russian intelligence recruitment in a separate spy case. He has acknowledged that he traveled to Moscow and met with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign. It would have been malpractice for the FBI, confronted with allegations that Page was helping the Russians, not to investigate, Figliuzzi says.

Four different judges, all appointed by Republican presidents, signed off on electronic surveillance of Carter Page.

And that's the end of a long process that involves multiple layers of review within the FBI and the Justice Department, current and former officials say. Anyone trying to put one over on the FISA court would be risking his or her career.

It was not improper — and perfectly normal — for the FBI to disclose information from the Steele dossier as part of the warrant application.

Andrew McCarthy, a former prosecutor and Trump backer, has argued that the dossier amounted to unverified hearsay, and that the FBI misrepresented that it had verified the information. But Figliuzzi and other former officials say the use of hearsay is common in warrant applications, because the FBI wants to tell the judge as much as possible about what is known about the target. No judge, however, would grant a surveillance warrant based entirely on hearsay, Figliuzzi said.

Shredded cheese and Trump shit salad.

But you know damn well that the old story that the tax cuts will stimulate the economy to the point that increased economic growth will give us the "Supply Side" increased taxes will pay for themselves. The deficit will be damn close to the GDP in just a few years.

You're persistent pursuit of excuses for the President instead of providing the Coldheartedtruth where he lies, and yes..

The use of tweets as part of the investigations may have been using to intimidate potential witnesses who may have information detrimental to the President is witness tampering.

I didn't get that from anyone else but me. It may or not be the intent for the investigation into his tweet storms like this morning.

Really the Mexicans will pay for the wall. Now he's going to shut down the government! How well did that work out for Newt Gingrich?

More fake climate news....

By Somini Sengupta, Tiffany May and Zia ur-Rehman
July 30, 2018

Expect more. That’s the verdict of climate scientists to the record-high temperatures this spring and summer in vastly different climate zones.
The continental United States had its hottest month of May and the third-hottest month of June. Japan was walloped by record triple-digit temperatures, killing at least 86 people in what its meteorological agency bluntly called a “disaster.” And weather stations logged record-high temperatures on the edge of the Sahara and above the Arctic Circle.

Is it because of climate change? Scientists with the World Weather Attribution project concluded in a study released Friday that the likelihood of the heat wave currently baking Northern Europe is “more than two times higher today than if human activities had not altered climate.”

While attribution studies are not yet available for other record-heat episodes this year, scientists say there’s little doubt that the ratcheting up of global greenhouse gases makes heat waves more frequent and more intense.

Elena Manaenkova, deputy head of the World Meteorological Organization, said this year was “shaping up to be one of the hottest years on record” and that the extreme heat recorded so far was not surprising in light of climate change.
“This is not a future scenario,” she said. “It is happening now.”

What was like to be in these really different places on these really hot days? We asked people. Here’s what we learned.

Ouargla, Algeria: 124°F on July 5

Maybe our idiot of kansas can post more wikipedia guano to support his asshattery....LOLOLOLOL!!
