Make no mistake, Strzok was not removed from Special Counsel because Mueller believe he was biased. At the time he was chosen, his opinions about Trump would have been well know to those in charge of these hiring decisions. Mueller hired him, knowing full well he had an agenda, not caring that he had an agenda, and probably assuming that the FBI and others in power would shield any of that from getting out.
The reality folks, is that Strzok was removed from Special Counsel because Mueller knew that once an IG started poking around that Strzok's actions would eventually become public. Mueller had to know that Strzok would face discipline (and likely be fired) and it would make Special Counsel look bad by association.

That said, there was most certainly a bad element in the FBI, remnants of the Clinton machine, and Strzok could easily have been among them. It is hard to get too upset about his firing, no matter how corrupt the person who ramrodded it.

He was fired, not just because of the text messages looked like bias, but because it was concluded that his actions were biased. He took "official action" to hurt the President based on this bias.
There is no amendment to the constitution that allows an FBI agent to do that.
Remember that the IG is still investigating the FBI. He moved on from the Hillary investigation to the Trump investigation. If you recall, McCabe was fired about two weeks before the release of the first IG report (and for good reason according to the report - he lied to investigators and was referred for possible criminal charges - but none of that came out until the IG report).
It's reasonable to see a correlation here. FBI brass is going to get these reports before they are released publicly. When the second IG report finally comes out, I am sure the Strzok firing will be better understood (just as the McCabe one was).

No Roger. Nobody has forgotten. But would you have expected him to go up and tell the truth, if in fact, he (as concluded by the IG) acted to harm the President based on his personal feelings? Of course he is going to lie. The fact that he did so emphatically doesn't make any less of a lie.
But keep in mind that these FBI agents are "people". They are not robots. They are no more able or willing to turn off their feelings as any other person is. Psychologically people generally don't see their own bias as bias. But objectively speaking, it's literally impossible to view the general series of events and find any real objectivity here.
Objectively, by the letter of the law, Hillary Clinton committed a crime. Strzok was one of the people responsible for "re-wording" the report to remove terms that could lead to the negligence charges involved. Even as it pertained to the that Clinton investigation the IG had concluded that it was personal bias that best explained Strzok's insistence of putting the Clinton investigation on the back-burner and not taking portions (like the Weiner lap top issue) because he felt that the Trump investigation was the "real investigation".
Bottom line... people don't harbor the sorts of feeling Strzok (and others did) regarding the President and go about their business regarding him "objectively". It's impossible for a normal human being to do so. It's simply childish and naive to believe that they can (or even wanted to) put this on the back burner.
The "Intelligence community" is used to getting their own way. They are used to bringing down who they want to bring down. Don't fuck with the intelligence community because they have 1001 ways to get you back, right?
But that is not the intelligence community that the American people want.
