On this fourth of July, I ask everyone two serious questions.

What does this flag stand for in your eyes?
Are you proud of what it stands for?

It stand for those that fought/ Served in the US Armed Forces (like I did) to first free us from Tyranny, the same kind we have been under for the last 8 years.

Yes, I am very proud and want this nation to be Great Again.


Unlike Moochelle Obummber and her hubby, I have always been proud to be an American .


Serving in the US Army in Germany I learned just how Exceptional the USA is.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the ideals for which it stands: That this nation, under under God, shall ever have new births of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.

2: The freedom that so many sacrificed everything to protect us from those who would destroy us.

It is a symbol of the United States of America, the first modern nation to reject the rule of hereditary monarchs in favor of representative government. Damn right I'm proud of that.

We have the most dynamic culture of entrepreneurship in the world.

In the postwar era we have consistently supported free trade, often at our own expense.

We were on the right side of history in the fight against fascism.

We were on the right side of history in the fight against communism.

We are on the right side of history in the fight against terrorism.

We have the strongest protections of speech and religious freedoms in the world.

We protect the world's sea lanes all but single-handedly.

We are the most benign hegemon in world history.

Even today, we accept and incorporate immigrants better than nearly any country in history.

American science is the most vigorous in the world, to the benefit of nearly every person on the globe.

By the way, I think we should replace our present pledge of allegiance to the flag with the one I posted above.

Republicans probably would resist that, though it relies heavily on words of the first Republican President.

It stands for the people who have toiled to build this country, and the ingenuity and energy of the American people who have enabled their success, and the American people who have defended our nation and our liberty.

The flag represents a nation of people who strive for themselves and their fellow man. Not the rulers, not the money nor power nor philosophies forced on us, but free people.
