America negotiates with terrorists...
America stands for nothing...

U.S. Sent Cash to Iran as Americans Were Freed
Obama administration insists there was no quid pro quo, but critics charge payment amounted to ransom
The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.
Is it just me, or is there no expectations anymore that our Government actually does what it is supposed to do? There seems to be no standards, norms, or even laws that are not subject to being treated as a nuisance by the President, if they might get in the way of his intention.

To be clear... the last time we traded something for hostages (Iran/Contra) we ended up with investigations that lasted for months, over eighty witnesses were interviewed, we had fourteen administration officials indicted, and eleven of those were convicted.

the last time we traded for hostages

But it's not the same America here folks. We are no longer a country that values honesty, integrity, and demands that our leaders follow the law. In 2016 we are a horrifyingly divided nation, where partisanship rules over everything... including (sadly) the law.

No way will Obama and his administration be held to the same standards of Reagan and his Administration. A partisan media, along with a partisan justice department, partisan elected officials, and the fact that an election is just three months away...

is reason enough to expect that nothing much will come of this.

Dare I even say it? The whole process is rigged.
