The left in panic mode... What's next?

They couldn't win the election.
They couldn't win selective recounts.
They couldn't win the electoral college vote.

So what's next? Will the progressive snowflakes suck it up and deal with the fact that broader American heartland doesn't agree with the fruits, nuts, and flakes of Hollywood California, NY NY, and other liberal urban centers?

Well, considering most liberals feel that the sun and moon revolves around Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, or any major city that touches an ocean... it's unlikely that they will suck anything up or deal with anything of the sort. The liberal mass hysteria has spoken, and they believe that the rest of the country are bigoted hicks who simply are not smart enough to see what they see. So, no... acceptance and trying to come together as a country is not in the cards.

So they are in "resistance" mode. First step is to delegitimize the election results by floating one of many different conspiracy theories... starting with the idea that Trump and Putin were in cahoots and that somehow Trump helped Russia "hack" the election. There is no evidence of this, mind you. None presented by anyone. But it won't stop the claims.

The truth is that the very corrupt DNC was doing anything they could to provide Hillary Clinton access to the nomination, including suggesting that they attack Bernie Sanders over his religion. The other truth was that members of the media was coordinating with the Clinton campaign on their election coverage, and they even provided the Clinton camp with advanced notice of debate questions.

This was all exposed by email hacks, that were made possible, in part, because Hillary's own Campaign manager fell prey to a phishing attack that my 13 year old son would recognize. (perhaps Trump and Putin conspired to steal the brains of the Hillary Clinton campaign?) In a comedy of errors, he was even told that the phishing email was legitimate (by Hillary's own IT) and that he should go ahead and change his passwords (which is what the email was asking him to do). Ahem... and these are the people some wanted to actually run our Country. Lord help us.

So... lose the election. Go to court to try to force recounts. Lost recounts. Try to force electors to change their vote. Not succeed at doing so. Allow your emails to be hacked. Blame the Russians?

So I ask again... what's next?

"Resistance means repetition. Humiliate [Donald Trump]. Humiliate him every day and those who support him. ... Resistance means find a Trump supporter every day and remind them he lost the popular vote. There is also a passive-aggressive, subtler way to make this point clear. ... Never address Trump as president. He is Trump. Just Trump. Never president. The title of president, that we must protect for a happier and more honest time. Resistance means refusal. Resist! Peace."

What is next:

The snowflakes will be looking for the Electoral College to be closed down , their doors shutters, their property sold and the degrees they issued to be recalled.

Next up: there are a certain number of gullible camp followers who will seek to keep the Clinton's in the news, up to and including this ridiculous "Hillary Spotted do something Human" series that keeps popping up and is likely to never stop, and the breathless commentary of mainstream press regarding every new political slogan from either Clinton.

Since further investigations are inevitable, as are new scandals and criminal allegations, the camp followers are being programmed to reject them all as political attacks, hysterically if possible, and the hysterical noise thereby generated creates cracks in the wall for the Clinton movement to cling to.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

This as a standalone comment, you nailed it.

"Since further investigations are inevitable, as are new scandals and criminal allegations, the camp followers are being programmed to reject them all as political attacks."

Clinton is old news.

Going forward is what matters. The Democrats are going to figure out a way, to appeal to the white, blue collar voters. The truth is that the Democrats are the party that has policies that are better for for them.

You are spot on, the Republicans are going to oppose investigations because Trump told them how to think that way.

well rog, it looks like on this last go-around, the voters told the democrats to shove their big government policies up their ass.

in case you haven't figured it out, and i know you haven't... people just want to be free. free to make a living, free to make choices (including other than killing a fetus), free to earn, free to compete, free to fail and try again, free to consume, free to live.

our sides offers freedom and liberty and self determination.

your side offers "policies." policies = government dependency.

there's your problem.

You made a comment and then ran from it that was very similar to the one above, you stated that your team had the better economic plan for the Country, when ask to spell those out, you ran.

Don't run again, do tell us in great detail and this time in your own words what policies that effect the financial lives of working Americans does your team have that are far better then Trumps?

government dependency.

I agree, that is why it is so important that During the Trump Economic boom, that more of those left behind in the Obamanomic meltdown of a disaster that they get jobs, earn for them selves.

One issue that is over looked by the low life Mutt is that as those people receive govt checks to live on they hurt themselves. One way is by not paying into the systems they will need later, SS is a perfect example, the more you pay in now , the more you get to draw out later, pay in Zero now and for years, and that money later in life goes down.

Obama's take on SS "
“It’s time we finally made Social Security more generous,” he said, “and increased its benefits so that today’s retirees and future generations get the dignified retirement that they’ve earned.” He endorsed raising the payroll tax on the wealthiest Americans, whose responsibility for contributing to the program is capped at $118,500 of wage income this year. “We could start paying for it by asking the wealthiest Americans to contribute a little bit more,” Obama said. “They can afford it. I can afford it.”

Bullet points
1, It is a Retirement Plan, no longer is it a safety net, at least Obama is honest to his kind about what it is.

2, More, always more from others that earn money to those that interlope.

3, Since he can "Afford it" he will be writing separate checks to pay into the SS and US Treasury and will not take more then a $1 a year from the retirement system for US Presidents. Right, Do what Donald is doing, do the right thing Obama.

A cybersecurity firm has uncovered strong proof of the tie between the group that hacked the Democratic National Committee and Russia’s military intelligence arm — the primary agency behind the Kremlin’s interference in the 2016 election.

The firm CrowdStrike linked malware used in the DNC intrusion to malware used to hack and track an Android phone app used by the Ukrainian army in its battle against pro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine from late 2014 through 2016.

While CrowdStrike, which was hired by the DNC to investigate the intrusions and whose findings are described in a new report, had always suspected that one of the two hacker groups that struck the DNC was the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, it had only medium confidence.

Now, said CrowdStrike co-founder Dmitri Alperovitch, “we have high confidence” it was a unit of the GRU. CrowdStrike had dubbed that unit “Fancy Bear.”

The FBI, which has been investigating Russia’s hacks of political, government, academic and other organizations for several years, privately has concluded the same. But the bureau has not publicly drawn the link to the GRU.

CrowdStrike’s fingering of the GRU helps to deepen the public’s understanding of how different arms of the Russian government are carrying out malicious and deeply troubling cyber acts in the United States. The director of national intelligence and the homeland security secretary in October publicly blamed the Russian government for interfering in the U.S. election, including through hacks of political organizations and targeting of state election systems.

After the election, the CIA and other intelligence agencies concluded that one of Russia’s aims was to help President-elect Donald Trump win the election through a campaign of “active measures” or influence operations that included the hacking and dumping of emails onto public websites.

Kellyanne Conway, the Republican pollster who managed Donald Trump's campaign in its final months, will be appointed counselor to the president, the transition team announced Thursday.

"She is a tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda and has amazing insights on how to effectively communicate our message. I am pleased that she will be part of my senior team in the West Wing," the president-elect said in a statement.

Clinton is old news ... You are spot on, the Republicans are going to oppose investigations because Trump told them how to think that way.

The Clinton's are loose ends that are going to be dealt with (legally) because they have proven that their brand of political corruption is corrosive to out Democracy and to our national security, and it will be ongoing for as long as it's tolerated.

Trump hasn't indicated that they are free and clear, but as I outlined over a month ago he's not likely to tolerate the distraction, nor to squander his initial political capital in mobilizing Congress to appoint a Special Prosecutor, especially since he'd need to first purge Justice of Clinton insiders.

But the criminal investigations in progress will continue, and new evidence will spur new investigations. If Trump is smart he will allow these to develop without interference. Clinton is now just a private citizen, coon to be without pull in the State and Justice Departments, which is a whole different environment that the practical immunity she has thus far enjoyed.

Since the topic is "What Next?" here's a bit of speculation. In spite of the hue and cry about Comey's letter, and his press conference before that, we still don't know much about what they actually have in those emails. We've got some vague talk about "duplicates" on the Huma/Weiner laptop, and the FBI's exceedingly careful examination of it. It occurs to me that the hacked and leaked emails are illegally obtained and thus cannot be used for prosecution! They can only provide leads, and you can't even follow that trail directly because derivative evidence will also be tainted. Hence the FBI "accidentally" finding email headers on third party's laptop during an unrelated investigation. ALL of these "Russian hacking" accusations are aimed at impeaching the evidence against Clinton and her close associates. The FBI must develop their cases independently of it.

It is safe to assume that the FBI knows far more about Clinton's criminal activities than has been made public, and if so it is certain that President-Elect Trump has been briefed on it and asked not to interfere. I take Trump's apparent change of attitude in that context. When you're already achieving your goal, you don't agitate.

So coming up next, AFTER the leadership of these Departments have been replaced, and after that trickles down the ranks, we won't hear much from FBI leaks, nor even their recommendation, until Justice decides to act. At that point in time, I expect that the gullible camp followers and those still with a vested interest with Clinton will still be trying to frame it as a personal vendetta and political persecution. But that's not going to work because the Democrats will have a lot on their plate by then, and will have indeed moved on from the "old news" of the Clinton's.

It's ironic that putting classified State Department information on an unsecured email server, practically as bait for every hacker in the world, is "no harm no foul" for some people but obtaining emails from sleazy political operatives is viewed by the same people as a threat to national security.

CrowdStrike said that they've seen footprints of two competing Russian hacker groups in the DNC systems. Doubtless they are right, and there are probably half a dozen more from around the world. The more vulnerable your systems, the more you get hacked.

Commonsense said...

I don't think that a cybersecurity firm hired by the DNC is going the say the DNC was too stupid to protect its systems against a 14 year-old wannabe hacker.

Twelve days before the presidential election, FBI Director James B. Comey dispatched a senior aide to deliver a startling message to the Justice Department. Comey wanted to send a letter to Congress alerting them that his agents had discovered more emails potentially relevant to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
....Federal attorneys scrambled into offices on the fourth and fifth floors of Justice Department headquarters, where they huddled to figure out how to stop what they viewed as a ticking time bomb. “It was DEFCON 1,” said an official familiar with the deliberations. “We were incredibly concerned this could have an impact on the election.”
....Weeks before the letter, Comey had advised against the Obama administration public statement admonishing Russia for the Democratic Party hacks, arguing it would make the administration appear partisan too close to the election. But to him, the Clinton email investigation was different. Battered by Republican lawmakers during a hearing that summer, Comey feared he would come under further attack if word leaked about the Clinton case picking up again.

More Americans voted for Hillary Clinton than any other losing presidential candidate in US history.

The Democrat outpaced President-elect Donald Trump by almost 2.9 million votes, with 65,844,954 (48.2%) to his 62,979,879 (46.1%), according to revised and certified final election results from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

The President elect posted a Tweet, saying the United States must “greatly strengthen and expand” them -- at least until the rest of the world “comes to its senses.”

His transition team is forced to clarify everything he says.

Later Thursday afternoon, Jason Miller, Transition Team Communications Director, sent CBS News a statement to specify that the threats the U.S. faces issue from the possibility that terrorist organizations and rogue regimes might obtain nuclear weapons.

“President-elect Trump was referring [in the tweet] to the threat of nuclear proliferation and the critical need to prevent it---particularly to and among terrorist organizations and unstable and rogue regimes,” Miller wrote.
Miller did not directly address the part of Mr. Trump’s original tweet that said that the U.S. “must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability,” but he did add that the president-elect “has also emphasized the need to improve and modernize our deterrent capability as a vital way to pursue peace through strength.” This suggests that Mr. Trump was not talking about increasing the numbers of nuclear weapons in the U.S. arsenal, so much as updating U.S. nuclear systems and infrastructure.

Mr. Trump’s transition website takes a cautious tone on the country’s nuclear arsenal. The president-elect “recognizes the uniquely catastrophic threats posed by nuclear weapons and cyberattacks” the site says, but he would modernize the nuclear arsenal “to ensure it continues to be an effective deterrent.”

But the president-elect has also suggested the threat of nuclear weapons could be useful during his campaign, even suggesting earlier this year that nukes could be fair game in the fight against terrorist organizations in the Middle East.
In an interview with MSNBC in March, Mr. Trump asked, “Somebody hits us within ISIS, you wouldn’t fight back with a nuke?”
Later, he asked of nuclear weapons, if the U.S. isn’t going to use them, “then why are we making them? Why do we make them?”

“Look, nuclear should be off the table,” the then-GOP candidate said. “But would there be a time when it could be used, possibly, possibly?”
----------
The President Elect, Donald J Trump is proposing something that has been against American policy since the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear attacks. This is evidence of two things.
He is frighteningly uninformed.
Even worse that he is pathologically impulsive.
