This Day could have been an ObamaNation, with the Criminal Hillary being given the keys to the car wreck at the bottom of the cliff that is today's ObamaNomics.

I want to thank the woman, the black and the Hispanics that moved to Trump and Elected Him, so that Today, at NOON we get our country back and can tow the car wreck to the Trump Garage and begin the long process of getting her started, fixing the bent frame and tuning her up to run again.

The nice thing about the election of Donald J. Trump is that there will be no ecstatic sycophantic narration from James.

Nor will there be any smug self-satisfaction about Hillary Clinton.

True

It is going to be some kind of New Day in America, Trump owes no one a thing, the Dems spent 1.2 Billion dollars and lost, the Establishment Republicans did everything they could to keep him from winning and yet in the end he did what had to be done to win, he worked hard , listened to WE THE PEOPLE and now is going to WIN for All Americans.

The Crowd is American, it is enjoying the Defeat of the Clinton/Obimbo Machine, remember HB you told us, she has it all, the money, Obama to campaign, Biden and Bill and the media.

One thing she did not have, the people, she forgot we all get to vote, Each state has an Equal say .

Hillary looks like she is very ill, I wish her well basking in the 100's of Millions of dollars from the Clinton Slush Fund.

Defeated are those ideas of liberals.

Victory of the ideals of work being cool again.

heh. the DC noticed the same thing i did about trump's speech -

Donald Trump focused his inaugural address on ‘we’ the American people, leaving himself out of the speech almost entirely.

In contrast to his predecessor Barack Obama, who had a habit of mentioning himself often throughout his speeches, Trump mentioned himself just three times in two sentences, while referring to “we” the American people 45 times.

The first time Trump referred to himself came about halfway through the speech, when he said: “The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.”

A Clinton voter and complete fucking asshole, Frederic Shultz, from San Diego, California, filed an emergency motion in federal court late Thursday, asking a judge to stop Chief Justice John Roberts from swearing in Donald Trump as President.

“The action that Chief Justice Roberts swearing in Trump to be President of the United States, violates Shultz’s rights and the rights of all other citizens who voted for Clinton, under the Fifth Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantees of equal protection of the law pertaining to his vote for President,” Shultz claims in a actual lawsuit that was filed in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of California. He filed the motion “pro se” – meaning without the help of an attorney. Needless to say, a Court has not taken action, nor has Justice Roberts or Donald Trump responded.

KD, Power to the People said...

There is no pussy footing around where Trump stands on the issues, and there will be no sucking up to the political class. Not during the campaign, not during the inauguration speech, and not likely during his Presidency."

The worker in Trump is becoming more clear to more, even the ObamaPress. The complaints are coming out, he works too much and sleeps too little. Reminds me of my dad, a road and bridge builder that as a poor Italian with only an 8th grade education moved from Ditch Digger to crew foreman.

The speech was short and powerful, the parade route is 1 1/2 miles shorter, their will be 4 less balls for Trump then their were for Obama.

Less is better when it comes to this kind of bs.

Trump plagerized the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, how dare he tell the voters that the power and wealth is ours and not those in government.

it was pleasing to hear a president deliver a speech without referring to himself a bazillion times.

it's been so long since i heard a presidential address delivered like this i honestly forgot it was possible.

Rat - after eight years of Obama talking about Obama, the political class was upset that Trump didn't spend enough time talking about... Obama?

Seriously...

KD, Gorebal Warming Wiped from WH.gov Official Site said...

I heard that many times as I flipped around the networks. How dare Trump talk about WE the People and not , the ONE that did nada, for 8 years to help all Americans.

In a fit of childishness, Lizzy Warren demanded that the Mediocre Negro Dr Ben Carson assure her that Trump and his Family will not get "one dollar of HUD loans".

It is hard to know exactly when one losses touch with reality to that degree, but, she has.

Chuck Todd and others are having a Wake. It is a sight that I am happy to watch.

LOL. uh no. we were pleasantly surprised that trump didn't spend his whole speech talking about himself. trump mentioned himself maybe three times in the whole 16 minute speech.

by contrast, skeets would've mentioned himself 3 times in the first sentence.

it's refreshing.

C.H. Truth said...

Trump sort of acted like he didn't really accomplish anything by getting elected, but rather that the "people" of America were the ones who accomplished it.

NASA Data Shows the Rate of Global Warming is Accelerating — 2016 is Third Consecutive Hottest Year on Record

Over just the past three years, global temperatures have risen by about 0.4 degrees Celsius. This was an extreme acceleration in the rate of warming. One that is unmatched in all of the past 136 years of climate record keeping.

During 2016, according to NASA, global temperatures hit 1.21 C above 1880s averages. This is a new record high to shatter all previous heat records. More to the point, the world’s atmosphere and oceans are now hotter than they’ve been in at least the past 100,000 years. This is considerable global warming. Enough to tip the world into a new climate age and bring about substantial geophysical changes.

Commonsense said...

Expect NASA to be more conservative and balance when they issue their climate reports from now on.

There won't be anymore wild speculation masking itself as climate science.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

John F Kennedy, January 20, 1961.

So let us begin anew — remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.

Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belabouring those problems which divide us.

Let both sides, for the first time, formulate serious and precise proposals for the inspection and control of arms — and bring the absolute power to destroy other nations under the absolute control of all nations.

Let both sides seek to invoke the wonders of science instead of its terrors. Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths, and encourage the arts and commerce.

Let both sides unite to heed in all corners of the earth the command of Isaiah — to "undo the heavy burdens -. and to let the oppressed go free."

And if a beachhead of cooperation may push back the jungle of suspicion, let both sides join in creating a new endeavour, not a new balance of power, but a new world of law, where the strong are just and the weak secure and the peace preserved.

All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.

In your hands, my fellow citizens, more than in mine, will rest the final success or failure of our course. Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its national loyalty. The graves of young Americans who answered the call to service surround the globe.

Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation" — a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.

Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind? Will you join in that historic effort?

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility — I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavour will light our country and all who serve it — and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.

Donald Trump, January 20, 2017.

From this day forward, it's going to be only America first, America first. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs.

We will bring back our borders.

We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example.

We will shine for everyone to follow.

We will re-enforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

This comment that is making our allies very nervous.

From this day forward, it's going to be only America first, America first. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

This isn't just a few words, words have meaning. Especially from the President of the United States. Are we going to remain part of NATO? The Russians look at this favorably.

Something else that he didn't know, is the America First movement prior to our entry into World War Two was against our entry into the War, had ties to the Nazis in Germany. Again, words have meaning. He is not a politician, but he's in the most political job in the country.

The entire speech could have been uniting, but it wasn't. I was disappointed. I still hope that he will understand the job. If he doesn't, well, we will not be happy.

An American president looking after American interest first?

How blasphemous!!

A lot of people in the heartland think it's high time somebody did.

And no, the "America First" movement in the 30's was not tied to Nazisim. It was due the America's tendency to isolationism dating all the way back to George Washington's warning about entangling European alliances in his farewell address.

Your bigotry and ignorance is stunning. Even for you.

LONDON — To send Donald Trump a message from across the Atlantic on the day of his inauguration, a group of about 30 volunteers picked one of the most dramatic settings in all of London: Tower Bridge.

The crew assembled before dawn on a bitterly cold London morning. During a misty sunrise that saw Tower Bridge’s Gothic-style towers bathed in orange light, the volunteers unfurled a banner that read: “Build Bridges Not Walls.” Some of the vehicles crisscrossing the bridge in heavy morning traffic responded to the demonstration with supportive toots.

CHUCK TODD: I have to say, it was surprisingly divisive for an inaugural address and I say it this way. We said it was a challenge when you're elected as an outsider, you're elected as a populist and you're channeling what was real anger out there with his supporters. It's tough to be both a unifier and a populist carrier. He went with populism and I think that it is going to play well with his folks but that wasn't the type of inaugural address that was intended to bring this country together...

America first. There was a point there, Lester, where it felt as if he almost was insulting every living president that was sitting next to him in very personal ways.

TOM BROKAW: He was also insulting all of the Republican Congressmen and Senators who were on stage. He has a majority but he went after politicians point blank.

Two genuine journalists agree with your favorite blog liberal.

I've still got it.

Commonsense said...

We never left.

Tell that to the Europeans who were not exactly thrilled with the doctrine of "leading from behind".

As I said elsewhere, Trump didn't make nice with the establishment so the old media is calling "divisive".

What I heard was unifying:

Their suffering is our suffering.

The forgotten men and women of our country are no longer forgotten.

When you open your heart to patriotism there is no room for prejudice.

I have to admit, I didn't catch a single word of the inauguration nor any of the coverage. Out of town on a software design summit, work had priority but even had that not been true ... this is all ceremonial, isn't it? Setting the tone, molding perceptions, I kind of want to wait until reality sets in.

I'm just extrapolating, but did't Trump merely reinforce some of the themes that he campaigned on? If he'd had any big departures, I'm sure I'd have seen headlines screaming with speculations ... tell me if I'm wrong about that.
