Barack Obama's Net Worth Has Risen 438% Since Running for President
Justen Charters

According to financial disclosure reports, President Obama has an estimated net worth of $7 million dollars.

Since he was worth $1.3 million in 2007, that makes the millionaire 438% more wealthy than when he first ran for office.

"As reported by the International Business Times:

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama listed assets worth between $2 million and $7 million for 2013, of which $1 million to $5 million were in Treasury notes, according to financial disclosure forms released Thursday.

Let me be clear, there is nothing wrong with being a millionaire. The United States is home to the most millionaires because of the kind of opportunity it offers to hard-working entrepreneurs.

While the average US citizen has a median income of roughly $51,000, Obama rakes in the cash with an annual presidential salary of $400,000. In addition, he receives money from book royalties and other investments"

“A dangerous and growing inequality and lack of upward mobility... has jeopardized middle-class America’s basic bargain ― that if you work hard, you have a chance to get ahead,” Obama said. “I believe this is the defining challenge of our time: making sure our economy works for every working American.

“It’s why I ran for president,” Obama added. “It drives everything I do in this office.”

No-Hope Obama has said some Yuge lies, this is not his biggest, but it is a good one.

Greta Van Susteren to join MSNBC. Women are leaving Faux News
By HADAS GOLD 01/05/17 02:12 PM EST
Greta Van Susteren is joining MSNBC, taking over the channel's 6 p.m. time slot with a new show called "For the Record," the network announced Thursday.

Van Susteren’s show will feature both news and analysis, working as a bridge from MSNBC's dayside news shows into its more opinion and analysis-focused primetime. She starts on Jan. 9, and the show will be based out of Washington D.C.

“Greta is a true pro with a proven record of tough journalism,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement. “Her broad range of experience and sharp news judgment will be of great value to MSNBC as we build on our momentum going into a new year and a new administration.”

Her show replaces Bloomberg's "With All Due Respect" time slot, which ended in December.

“I’m thrilled to start my next chapter at MSNBC,” Van Susteren said. “The network is the right destination for the smart news and analysis I hope to deliver every day, and I look forward to joining the talented journalists and analysts I respect there.”

It’s yet another major Fox News pickup for the NBC family, which on Tuesday announced that it had hired Fox News star Megyn Kelly to host a daytime and Sunday newsmagazine show on the broadcast network.

Van Susteren abruptly left Fox News and her 7 p.m. show “On the Record" in September after 14 years with the network. Brit Hume briefly filled in until the election when Tucker Carlson was named host. On Thursday, Fox News announced Martha MacCallum was taking over the slot, as Carlson would take over the the 9p.m. slot vacated by Kelly.

The announcement is far from a surprise for those in the media world. MSNBC began posting positions for a 6 p.m. Washington D.C. show a few weeks ago, and Van Susteren has been open to her fans on social media about wanting to return to television. Several MSNBC insiders knew Van Susteren was coming, and several reports, including in POLITICO, had already been published noting that she was likely moving to the network, though the announcement was delayed until everything had been signed, sources said.

Van Susteren, a lawyer by training, was with CNN for a decade before joining Fox in 2002. Since her departure from Fox, she’s been active in charity work around the world, regularly communicating with fans about her desire to return to television.

"I have had to tie up a lot of loose ends....I would have liked to move the process faster,” she wrote to one fan on Twitter just the day before the MSNBC announcement.

In a Facebook post on New Year’s Day, Van Susteren addressed comments critical about various networks.

Hedge fund bet against Trump -- and lost $400 million

The sequel to "Trump the Press" will end with six words: Never bet against Donald John Trump.

Offering proof today is Russell Clark, global strategy fund manager of Horseman Capital Management Ltd.

From the Wall Street Journal:

London-based Horseman runs about $2 billion in assets. Its main $1.7 billion Global strategy fund lost 24% through Dec. 28, according to numbers sent to investors in an email and reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The bulk of the fund’s losses last year came in the final two months—a 12.8% loss in November and a further 7.8% in December. Those equate to losses of around $330 million or more, according to calculations by the Journal.

Global strategy fund manager Russell Clark had been running huge bets against stocks, according to letters to investors, and was hit by the sharp rally in markets fueled by Mr. Trump’s victory.

The fund’s largest bet was against U.S. stocks, while it was also positioned for eurozone and Japanese stocks to fall, according to the fund’s latest letter to investors.
Russell Clark bet against President Trump and the United States.

That means about $400 million of his company's money now belongs to people who believed in President Trump and the people of the USA.

NBC News) The Director of National Intelligence says an unclassified report on Russian hacking during the 2016 presidential election will be made public next week.

James Clapper told a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee Thursday that he has "very high" confidence the Russian government was behind the attacks on Democratic targets, and he will "push the envelope" in making as much information as possible public in next week's report.

Clapper and Admiral Mike Rogers, the National Security Agency Director, say America is increasingly threatened by foreign adversaries whose cyber capabilities are ever more daring and sophisticated.

"I have publicly said before that the Russians are a peer competitor in cyber. If you look broadly beyond the Russians to cyber writ large the level of capability of nation states and actors around the world continues to increase," Admiral Rogers testified. "I can't think of a single significant actor out there who is either decreasing their level of investment, getting worse in their tradecraft or capability or in any way backing away from significant investments in cyber."

Among the Russian methods of destabilizing elections is the introduction of propaganda, including so-called "fake news", though there is no evidence of Russia actually hacked any voting machines or vote counting.

"This was a multifaceted campaign. So the hacking was only one part of it. And it also entailed classical propaganda, disinformation, fake news," Clapper said.

Senators on both sides of the aisle supported the credibility of America's intelligence agencies in the wake of attacks on their reliability by President-elect Donald Trump.

"Every American should be alarmed by Russia's attacks on our nation," said Senator John McCain. "There is no national security interest more vital to the United States of America than the ability to hold free and fair elections without foreign interference."

But Clapper also said the Russian hacking efforts "did not change the vote tallies" in the election, which ended with Donald Trump's victory. Clapper was referring specifically to the question of whether voting machines could have been manipulated to affect the outcome.

Clapper added that when it comes to the the question of whether Russian hacking affected "the choices that the electorate made ... there's no way for us to gauge that."

Every single intelligence experts have been outraged by the mind of your President of Twitter.

General Michael Hayden, the former director of the CIA, has been very concerned about the Trump, because he had to send out people who were risking their lives. His concern is that how could he ask someone to risk their lives, if the President, would discount the data by default. Trump has absolutely no experience in the intelligence services, but discounts it for???? He doesn't have a fucking clue. Yet you believe that he knows what he's doing. There is no logical explanation for your beliefs. Other than, probably because he's a Republican.

I am absolutely certain, that if Hillary Clinton, had expressed doubts about our intelligence services, you would be screaming out against her.
Hypocrisy is a Republican trait.

For example Paul, majority leader Mitch McConnell said that if the Democrats block the nomination of a Supreme Court justice by President Tweeter, the American people would be outraged. President Barack Obama's nominee, wasn't even given a hearing. It had no impact on the election. Use your mind other than a place to fill with beer.

Hillary will be at the 2017 Swearing to GOD Presidential Inaugural, as a outside observer.

I can not wait for that Image.
The one that was suppose to happen was she walks up on the Grand Stage with the first Mixed Race Pres and take power into her hands and continues with the third term of Obimbo's. It was to be a Progressive Wet Dream.

Instead, we get a wonderful man taking power from a dullard.
We get a President that is for the people and not for his own self enrichment.

Will Obama do the right thing after leaving office, will he take a $1 per year Presidental Retirement pay out?

Or will he suckle at the nipple of the US Tax payer as he and Moochelle make 100's of millions off of books and speeches?

Instead of cheering on partisan attacks on our nonpartisan intelligence community (the majority of intel personnel are military members or veterans, by the way), let’s take a look at what the “intel hands” have done for us lately:

Since 9/11, there hasn’t been another strategic terror attack on our homeland, despite the determination of our enemies.

Only superb intelligence work allowed us to break al Qaeda’s back and, now, to turn the tide against ISIS (elements within the intelligence community tried to warn the president about ISIS, but he didn’t want to hear it).

It wasn’t Obama who “got” bin Laden, it was great intelligence plus the Navy SEALs.

Our intel networks monitor nuke developments in North Korea and Iran — and elsewhere — to prevent strategic surprises.

In the absence of updated legislation, the intelligence agencies do their best in our daily battle with cyber-intruders. But they’re hamstrung by antiquated regulations.

Only our intelligence capabilities enable us to monitor the military, political and economic conditions of potential enemies and provide the president with timely warnings of hostile activity. There’s far more going on in the world than ever makes the news.

Don’t like intelligence because the conclusions don’t always match your world view? Try defending our country and interests without it.

The next time a political hack derides our intelligence personnel and defends Julian Assange or Vladimir Putin, ask him or her exactly what he or she has done to protect this country — while intelligence professionals were laying their lives on the line.

Ralph Peters is Fox News’ strategic analyst and a retired Military Intelligence officer.

GOP's soft-on-Russia faction is clearly ascendant, notably at the grassroots level. According to an Economist/YouGov poll conducted two years ago, only 10 percent of rank-and-file Republicans viewed Putin favorably; 51 percent viewed him very unfavorably. But their mood has markedly softened. In a poll last month, 37 percent viewed him favorably; only 14 percent, very unfavorably.

Why has this happened? Why have so many Republicans, who for decades took pride in their national security muscularity, suddenly become doormats? Five reasons:

Trump is setting the tone. A political party tends to follow its victorious leader, and right now the GOP is led by a Putin pet whose Russian business entanglements have yet to be fully disclosed. If any other president-elect (especially a Democrat), in any previous year, had attacked America's intelligence agencies and sided with Russia, Republicans would've lined up to scream treason. But Trump's unexpected win has redefined their patriotism.

Putin's cyberinvasion hurt Hillary Clinton. It's an old story: The enemy of the enemy is a friend. Republicans are simply grateful that the thug helped propel them to power.

Macho titillation. Lots of Republicans envy Putin's decisive authoritarian prowess. In the words of Trump ally Rudy Giuliani, "He makes a decision and he executes it, quickly. That's what you call a leader." (A pity that Rudy used the word execute.)

Conservative cultural affinity. Lots of Republican social conservatives love Putin

Geopolitical strategery. (The latter word was coined by Bush.) Some Republicans — most notably, incoming national security advisor Michael Flynn — believe that we need to cultivate Russia as our crucial ally in the war on terror. At a dinner in Moscow one year ago, Flynn said: "We have to begin to understand that is not an East-West world, folks. This is actually more of a North-South world ... The Number One goal is to eliminate the cancerous idea that exists inside of the Islamic religion."

These reasons — and there are others, like the ties that bind corporate American leaders and Russian oligarchs — help explain why so many Republicans are so passive about the historic tampering of an American election; and why Republican leaders on Capitol Hill are so resistant to the creation of a special investigative committee. (McCain ally John Weaver, referring to Trump's team: "They're certainly acting like there's something to hide.")

And this Republican passivity is great for Putin and his expansionist aims. The other night on Fox News, Trump apparatchik Tucker Carlson mused, "Why is it in my interest to send my 19-year-old son to defend the Baltics?" First of all, his son doesn't have to go; we have a volunteer army. But the real answer is, America is part of NATO, Baltic states like Estonia are part of NATO, and we're required to defend NATO allies if they're attacked. But Trump has been dissing our traditional NATO commitments.

McCain and the other hawks aren't going away. At today's Senate hearing he said: "Every American should be alarmed by Russia's attacks on our nation. There's no escaping the fact that this (was) an unprecedented attack on our democracy." And hawkish Republican commentators continue to weigh in. Ben Shapiro writes, "The full-scale embrace of Putin ... should be disquieting to any American who still gives a good damn about the notion of a powerful America expanding the borders of freedom rather than surrendering them to authoritarian dictators."

But their voices don't resonate like they once did. Who could ever have predicted that the tough-on-Russia party would slide toward appeasement? That Ronald Reagan would yield to a whiff of Neville Chamberlain?
