Resistance is futile...

Almost since the first day that Donald Trump announced his intention to run for President, the left, the media, and Hollywood worked overtime to create the illusion that his candidacy was not to be taken seriously. Democrats laughed at his candidacy. Late Show Hosts routinely made fun of him. Hollywood celebrities mocked him. Many in the media openly stated that his candidacy could not and should not be covered as if it was actually a legitimate candidacy.

Any politician who stood with Trump was treated as if they had leprocy. Jimmy Fallon was criticized for "messing up his hair" on the Tonight Show, because such an act made Trump seem somewhat human (which apparently was the one thing to be avoided at all cost). Anyone in the media who did cover Donald Trump as if he was an honest to goodness Presidential candidate were chastised by the left for "normalizing him".

Now whether or not Donald Trump and his agenda can be considered "normal" is still up for debate. But the fact remains that he is currently the President of the United States, he has a GOP congress ready for action, and of course he has a "pen and a phone" to take on issues that do not require congressional actions. He's making his presence felt and will no doubt continue to do so moving forward.

Of course, that doesn't stop hundreds of thousands of women from dressing up like female parts, celebrities telling us how they fantasize about blowing up the White House, or politicians like Cory Booker demanding we resist the temptation of normalizing Donald Trump:

To be clear here folks, the resistance is at the core level here. These same people somehow believe that they can convince Americans and the rest of the world that we are a nation that at least "figuratively" doesn't really have a President, because Trump cannot be considered as such.

While you may be able to convince some people of this logic for four days, or maybe even four weeks, this is going to realistically prove impossible to promote wide scale for four months, much less four years. Again, I hate to point out the obvious... but the United States does require that we have a President, Trump "is" that President, and with that title comes some degree of respect.

The Senate confirming his cabinet, normalizes him. Every time he signs an executive order and people start to discuss the potential effects, it normalizes him. Ever time Congress takes up his actions, it normalizes him. When he nominates a candidate for the U.S.S.C. it normalizes him. Every day the media covers the White House (good or bad) it normalizes him. Even simple disagreements about "policy" will begin to normalize Trump. Pretty soon, people will all have to simply admit that he is President, and that he is legitimate.

Resistance is futile!

In one week, President Donald Tweet Trump® has embarrassed the United States more than any President in history. And he's just been there seven days.
1; Crowd size.
2: Illegal voting
3: The Wall: Mexico said no effing way.
4: Congressional Republicans have no plan for replacing ObamaCare with TrumpCare. They are scared to death about the next thing he will tweet tonight.
5: His own staff says he is clueless.
6: His daughter is registered to vote in two states. Can you say "fraud"? Sure you can.
7: The mayor of Boston said his city will be a sanctuary for those who have lived and worked here and raised their families and paid taxes, back to their home country. Ronald Reagan gave sanctuary to millions. Trump wants to toss them out, and leave their families in a lurch.

The resistance is getting stronger every day.

President Obama is now taking credit for creating 15 million jobs.
That's how many new jobs have been created since the dark days of the Great Recession. Another solid month of hiring in September has brought the tally to over 15 million non-farm jobs.

"Anyone claiming that America's economy is in decline is peddling fiction," President Obama said in his State of the Union address earlier this year. His critics counter that this is the slowest recovery since WW II.
Powered by SmartAsset.com

This week Obama fought back at his detractors. He said his team has created a "more durable, growing economy" with "15 million new private-sector jobs since early 2010" in an essay in The Economist. Democrat Tim Kaine also used the 15 million jobs talking point in the vice presidential debate.

But Obama is using the most generous accounting possible to get that figure.
He doesn't start the count from his first day in office in 2009. Instead, he begins calculating job gains from February 2010, which was the lowest point for employment in the aftermath of the financial crisis. Under 130 million people were working then, according to U.S. Department of Labor. Now there are almost 145 million employed Americans.

CNNMoney used the Obama methodology (lowest employment point to highest) to see how he stacks up against recent presidents.

The result: Obama is still behind Presidents Clinton (22.9 million) and Reagan (18.1 million), but he's left President George W. Bush (8.2 million) in the dust.

I keep seeing the 20 million claim here, but a Google search finds a legitimate claim of 15 million.

Do yourself a favor. Read the story about the closed door meeting, that was taped by an attendee, who obviously was a Republican member of the congress.

The panic over Trumpcare and the Donald himself is astounding.

Black Home Ownership Rate hit a Historic High during the Bush years, so with this economy that IF one reads what HB posted is booming like a muth'r *ucker, Black home ownership Rates have to have boomed with it right?

Wrong, Black's are not owning homes, they are renting, losing years and years of wealth creating, Liberals have done so much damage to the Black Families, it is institutionalized poverty, right where they want them, depended on the Gov.

Black homeownership lower today than national rate during Great Depression

Black homeownership is “endangered,” according to the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).

"The NAREB says the black homeownership rate is 41.7 percent, which is lower than the national homeownership rate during the Great Depression. The rate is the lowest of any ethnic group in America.

NAREB’s 2016 report titled “The State of Housing in Black America” details how African-Americans continue to be victimized by “discriminatory, unfair and deceptive barriers to credit access.” The organization says the current rate reflects continued mortgage lending disparities, public policies and inactions by governmental institutions.

The home ownership rate for non-hispanic whites is 71.5 percent."

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

PM PST | UPDATED: 1 DAY AGO 0 COMMENTS
Southern California saw the state’s biggest year-over-year increase in pending home sales last month, according to a new report.

Pending sales refer to sales in which a contract has been signed but the sale has not yet closed.

The California Association of Realtors’ Market Pulse Survey shows that pending sales in Southern California rose 7.8 percent in December compared with the same period a year earlier. That topped the Central Valley’s meager 0.9 percent gain and the 14.2 percent decline that was seen in the San Francisco Bay area.

That region’s downturn was driven by a tight inventory and low affordability, the report said.

San Bernardino County led Southern California with a 9.5 percent yearly increase in pending sales. That was followed by San Diego County (up 7.9 percent) and Los Angeles County (up 5.2 percent). Orange County was the only area in Southern California that saw a decline. Pending sales there fell 11.5 percent over the year.

“There’s still a lot of room for growth in San Bernardino County,” CAR economist Jordan Levine said. “Homes are much more affordable there relative to Los Angeles County and Orange County. The difference between the price of a home in L.A. and in San Bernardino County can be several hundred thousand dollars.”

Steve Grippi, a Realtor with Keller Williams in Irvine, said Orange County’s decline in sales last month was likely tied to the holidays. People may have been out buying Christmas gifts or doing other holiday-related activities, he said, prompting them to place home buying low on their list.

“It might be that people were just hanging out during the holidays and not working so much,” Grippi said. “And a lot of people in Orange County have more income so they can afford to take more time to buy a home.”

IMMIGRATION

On Monday, Trump started to make his priorities clearer, and deportation of young immigrants appeared to have fallen off the list.

During the campaign, Trump denounced Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which has given a shield against deportation to more than 740,000 young immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children. But so far, the Trump administration has taken no steps to end the program and has continued to process new applications.

Trump’s decision not to immediately end DACA has drawn fire from some anti-immigration groups and they are pushing him to stick to his campaign pledge. But White House press secretary Sean Spicer has now repeatedly indicated that the administration is in no hurry.

The new president is in much more of a hurry to get started on one of his key campaign pledges — building a wall along the Mexican border. That was the topic on Wednesday, as Trump issued orders to start planning the border wall and to take action against so-called sanctuary cities, as Mike Memoli and Noah Bierman wrote.

But, as Bennett explained, there, too, Trump gave himself lots of room. The order on the wall, for example, did not commit to any particular type of barrier, or any specific amount.

It directed the Department of Homeland Security to come up with a plan for “operational control” of the Mexican border. That could end up meaning a few dozen miles of new fencing or a few hundred, but most likely not a wall stretching the full 2,000 miles of the border.

Similarly, the sanctuary cities part of the order allows the administration “at its discretion” to cut off an unspecified range of federal funds from certain cities that “willfully refuse to comply” with federal immigration law. That could sweep in a lot of localities or very few, depending on how big a confrontation the new president wants.

As Evan Halper and Melanie Mason reported, California and other Democratic states already have begun preparing legal obstacles that could block Trump’s efforts to go after sanctuaries. The state is prepared to “litigate until the end of time,” said state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco).

Trump’s orders do, however, almost certainly mean that the number of deportations will rise. So, too, will the number of immigrants being held in federal detention for crossing the border illegally. The government already spends more than $2 billion a year on detaining immigrants. That price tag could now quadruple, former officials say.

As the week went on, the dispute over the border wall plunged the U.S. and Mexico into a diplomatic crisis, with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto scrapping plans for a White House visit next week. As Kate Linthicum and Tracy Wilkinson wrote, the tension threatens a range of important U.S. interests.

And as Don Lee wrote, Trump's rift with the Mexican president set off worries about future of the North American Free Trade Agreement, which both countries, in theory, would like to renegotiate.

On Thursday, Trump floated one idea for how he could pay for the border wall — a GOP plan that would raise taxes on all imports. Opponents of that idea, who include big retailers, oil refiners and the influential conservative Koch brothers, warn that move could raise prices for consumers.

Whatever else it would mean, it’s definitely not Mexico paying for the wall.

A MONTH'S WORTH OF NEWS IN A WEEK

Trump and his aides have done so much in the first week that it’s hard to keep track: That, of course, is part of the plan. Before voters can truly figure out what they think about one act, the White House is on to the next.

In his first days in office, Trump reimposed a ban on international aid to groups that discuss abortion — a measure first imposed by Ronald Reagan. And he named a new FCC chairman, Ajit Pai, who wants to quickly end the Obama administration’s push for so-called net neutrality regulations.

And Trump also once again floated the idea of reviving the use of torture and secret “black sites” to interrogate terror suspects. As Brian Bennett wrote, U.S. intelligence and defense agencies oppose both of those ideas.

Those were just sidelines, however. The main events involved healthcare, immigration, trade and the environment.

OBAMACARE

For all the head-spinning amount of news, there was a pattern in most of Trump’s early moves: They started out with a blare of trumpets that generated big headlines, but when the White House released the actual documents — often hours after Trump signed them on television — the fine print provided lots of wiggle room for the new administration.

The pattern began over the weekend with a directive on the Affordable Care Act, telling the Department of Health and Human Services to reduce the “burdens” of President Obama’s signature healthcare law.

As Noam Levey wrote, explaining the new order, Trump’s directive opened the door for his administration to start dismantling Obamacare if it chooses to do so. But the order didn’t actually do anything right away, leaving the administration maximum room to maneuver.

Republican members of Congress remain in the dark about what, exactly, Trump wants them to do on healthcare. Many had hoped to ask him about it when he joined Republican lawmakers on a retreat Thursday in Philadelphia. But Trump visited the gathering just long enough for a short speech and took no questions from the members.

Meanwhile, the GOP remains deeply split on one of the most basic issues, Levey wrote later in the week: Do they want to make sure everyone has insurance, or not? In the Senate and among Republican governors, many say yes. But in the House, a large number of conservative lawmakers say no. Until they resolve that split, legislation to replace Obamacare will be hard to pass.

Oh sure, resistance is futile. This is what you call leadership by an adult.

Wiggle waggle, don't make me take a stand, we will discuss it later when we decide what "truth" we are gong to push.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Another reason to think he's paranoid.
A wide range of mainly Muslim immigrants learned that their hopes of finding safety in the United States or reuniting with family here were suddenly in serious jeopardy ― if not dashed entirely. Syrian families approved for resettlement in the U.S. were stuck in limbo at the last minute. Iraqis who risked their lives interpreting for the U.S. military during the war were detained upon their arrival in American airports. And longtime American residents were faced with indefinite separation from family members.

The Trump administration also made clear that the 500,000 American green card holders from these countries ― Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen ― would be approved for re-entry only on a case-by-case basis. If they are currently in the U.S., those green card holders will be required to consult with the government before traveling outside the country.

resident Trump’s executive order barring refugees and migrants from predominantly Muslim countries from entry into the United States rippled across the world on Saturday, causing widespread confusion, triggering outrage among immigrant advocates and leading to the detention at U.S. airports of people flying into the country.

In addition to blocking all entries from seven countries, including business people, students and others, the ban is also being applied to U.S. legal residents from those nations — so-called green card holders — who were traveling abroad at the time the order was signed, federal officials said Saturday.

Those familiar with the order, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they said its rollout had been chaotic, said green card holders currently in the United States will not be affected. They noted that the Department of Homeland Security is allowed to grant waivers to those individuals and others deemed to not pose a threat to national security.

“If you’ve been living in the United States for 15 years and you own a business and your family is here, will you be granted a waiver? I’m assuming yes, but we are working that out,’’ said one official, who could not be more specific because details of the possible waivers remained cloudy, as did many other details of how the ban will be enforced.

Being a Muslim is a suspect no matter what. I trust my life with my hair dresser who is a Muslim, near my throat with a razor. The terminals are fucked up across the country. He's not immune, as you claim. He is going to motivate millions of Americans to get involved that have been sitting out and toss that SOB and the Republicans out of the government. Thousands of visa holders are being detained because of their national origin. This is contrary to what this country stands for. No violence, in these protests.

WASHINGTON — President Trump’s executive order on immigration quickly reverberated through the United States and across the globe on Saturday, slamming the border shut for an Iranian scientist headed to a lab in Boston, an Iraqi who had worked for a decade as an interpreter for the United States Army, and a Syrian refugee family headed to a new life in Ohio, among countless others.

Around the nation, security officers at major international gateways had new rules to follow, though the application of the order appeared uneven. Humanitarian organizations scrambled to cancel long-planned programs, delivering the bad news to families who were about to travel. Refugees who were on flights when the order was signed were detained at airports.

“We’ve gotten reports of people being detained all over the country,” said Becca Heller, the director of the International Refugee Assistance Project. “They’re literally pouring in by the minute.”

There were numerous reports of students attending American universities who were blocked from returning to the United States from visits abroad. One student said in a Twitter post that he would be unable to study at Yale. Another who attends the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was refused permission to board a plane. A Sudanese student at Stanford University was blocked for hours from returning to California.

Ali Abdi, a 30-year-old student from Iran, has been studying for his PhD in anthropology at Yale University. Last week, he left the U.S. for the United Arab Emirates on his way to a research trip in Afghanistan.

That was only days before President Trump issued his executive order on Friday suspending admissions from seven majority Muslim countries, including Iran.
ADVERTISING

Now Abdi, who has been living in the U.S. for the last four years, is unsure what to do. He cannot return to Iran, where he faces potential imprisonment for his political activism. His visa for the UAE won’t allow him to stay there long, nor does he have permission for an extended stay in Afghanistan.

Driverless cars could become a commercial reality, bringing with it massive changes for car makers, energy companies, insurers, health care, and more.

Abdi is trying to be philosophical. “I’m not worried about anything... From an anthropological perspective I can write a lot,” he said in a telephone interview Saturday. “What has happened is very illuminating. The main problem is the lives of thousands of others who are torn apart by what happened.”

Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States

The executive order signed on Friday suspends all refugee entries for 120 days, blocks Syrian refugees and bars for 90 days the entry of citizens from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Somalia.

Around the world, students and workers caught outside the U.S. were uncertain when they would be allowed to return under the new executive order. Refugees expecting safe resettlement in the U.S. were stranded and detained at airports. And families whose loved ones were stranded abroad were left in a state of crippling anxiety.

Resistance is necessary to stop this fascistic executive Nuremberg Law This is a day that will be a day of infamy because of this order.

President Trump signed an executive order on Friday titled “Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States.” Following is the language of that order, as supplied by the White House.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, including the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq., and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, and to protect the American people from terrorist attacks by foreign nationals admitted to the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Purpose. The visa-issuance process plays a crucial role in detecting individuals with terrorist ties and stopping them from entering the United States. Perhaps in no instance was that more apparent than the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, when State Department policy prevented consular officers from properly scrutinizing the visa applications of several of the 19 foreign nationals who went on to murder nearly 3,000 Americans. And while the visa-issuance process was reviewed and amended after the September 11 attacks to better detect would-be terrorists from receiving visas, these measures did not stop attacks by foreign nationals who were admitted to the United States.

Numerous foreign-born individuals have been convicted or implicated in terrorism-related crimes since September 11, 2001, including foreign nationals who entered the United States after receiving visitor, student, or employment visas, or who entered through the United States refugee resettlement program. Deteriorating conditions in certain countries due to war, strife, disaster, and civil unrest increase the likelihood that terrorists will use any means possible to enter the United States. The United States must be vigilant during the visa-issuance process to ensure that those approved for admission do not intend to harm Americans and that they have no ties to terrorism.

In order to protect Americans, the United States must ensure that those admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its founding principles. The United States cannot, and should not, admit those who do not support the Constitution, or those who would place violent ideologies over American law. In addition, the United States should not admit those who engage in acts of bigotry or hatred (including “honor” killings, other forms of violence against women, or the persecution of those who practice religions different from their own) or those who would oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual orientation.

Sec. 2. Policy. It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from foreign nationals who intend to commit terrorist attacks in the United States; and to prevent the admission of foreign nationals who intend to exploit United States immigration laws for malevolent purposes.

Sec. 3. Suspension of Issuance of Visas and Other Immigration Benefits to Nationals of Countries of Particular Concern. (a) The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence, shall immediately conduct a review to determine the information needed from any country to adjudicate any visa, admission, or other benefit under the INA (adjudications) in order to determine that the individual seeking the benefit is who the individual claims to be and is not a security or public-safety threat.

(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence, shall submit to the President a report on the results of the review described in subsection (a) of this section, including the Secretary of Homeland Security’s determination of the information needed for adjudications and a list of countries that do not provide adequate information, within 30 days of the date of this order. The Secretary of Homeland Security shall provide a copy of the report to the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence.

(c) To temporarily reduce investigative burdens on relevant agencies during the review period described in subsection (a) of this section, to ensure the proper review and maximum utilization of available resources for the screening of foreign nationals, and to ensure that adequate standards are established to prevent infiltration by foreign terrorists or criminals, pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(f), I hereby proclaim that the immigrant and nonimmigrant entry into the United States of aliens from countries referred to in section 217(a)(12) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(12), would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and I hereby suspend entry into the United States, as immigrants and nonimmigrants, of such persons for 90 days from the date of this order (excluding those foreign nationals traveling on diplomatic visas, North Atlantic Treaty Organization visas, C-2 visas for travel to the United Nations, and G-1, G-2, G-3, and G-4 visas).

(d) Immediately upon receipt of the report described in subsection (b) of this section regarding the information needed for adjudications, the Secretary of State shall request all foreign governments that do not supply such information to start providing such information regarding their nationals within 60 days of notification.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

(e) After the 60-day period described in subsection (d) of this section expires, the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of State, shall submit to the President a list of countries recommended for inclusion on a Presidential proclamation that would prohibit the entry of foreign nationals (excluding those foreign nationals traveling on diplomatic visas, North Atlantic Treaty Organization visas, C-2 visas for travel to the United Nations, and G-1, G-2, G-3, and G-4 visas) from countries that do not provide the information requested pursuant to subsection (d) of this section until compliance occurs.

(f) At any point after submitting the list described in subsection (e) of this section, the Secretary of State or the Secretary of Homeland Security may submit to the President the names of any additional countries recommended for similar treatment.

(g) Notwithstanding a suspension pursuant to subsection (c) of this section or pursuant to a Presidential proclamation described in subsection (e) of this section, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may, on a case-by-case basis, and when in the national interest, issue visas or other immigration benefits to nationals of countries for which visas and benefits are otherwise blocked.

(h) The Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall submit to the President a joint report on the progress in implementing this orderwithin 30 days of the date of this order, a second report within 60 daysof the date of this order, a third report within 90 days of the date of this order, and a fourth report within 120 days of the date of this order.

Sec. 4. Implementing Uniform Screening Standards for All Immigration Programs. (a) The Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation shall implement a program, as part of the adjudication process for immigration benefits, to identify individuals seeking to enter the United States on a fraudulent basis with the intent to cause harm, or who are at risk of causing harm subsequent to their admission. This program will include the development of a uniform screening standard and procedure, such as in-person interviews; a database of identity documents proffered by applicants to ensure that duplicate documents are not used by multiple applicants; amended application forms that include questions aimed at identifying fraudulent answers and malicious intent; a mechanism to ensure that the applicant is who the applicant claims to be; a process to evaluate the applicant’s likelihood of becoming a positively contributing member of society and the applicant’s ability to make contributions to the national interest; and a mechanism to assess whether or not the applicant has the intent to commit criminal or terrorist acts after entering the United States.

(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security, in conjunction with the Secretary of State, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, shall submit to the President an initial report on the progress of this directive within 60 days of the date of this order, a second report within 100 days of the date of this order, and a third report within 200 days of the date of this order.

Sec. 5. Realignment of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for Fiscal Year 2017. (a) The Secretary of State shall suspend the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) for 120 days. During the 120-day period, the Secretary of State, in conjunction with the Secretary of Homeland Security and in consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, shall review the USRAP application and adjudication process to determine what additional procedures should be taken to ensure that those approved for refugee admission do not pose a threat to the security and welfare of the United States, and shall implement such additional procedures. Refugee applicants who are already in the USRAP process may be admitted upon the initiation and completion of these revised procedures. Upon the date that is 120 days after the date of this order, the Secretary of State shall resume USRAP admissions only for nationals of countries for which the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence have jointly determined that such additional procedures are adequate to ensure the security and welfare of the United States.

(b) Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, is further directed to make changes, to the extent permitted by law, to prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality. Where necessary and appropriate, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall recommend legislation to the President that would assist with such prioritization.

(d) Pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(f), I hereby proclaim that the entry of more than 50,000 refugees in fiscal year 2017 would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and thus suspend any such entry until such time as I determine that additional admissions would be in the national interest.

(e) Notwithstanding the temporary suspension imposed pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may jointly determine to admit individuals to the United States as refugees on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, but only so long as they determine that the admission of such individuals as refugees is in the national interest — including when the person is a religious minority in his country of nationality facing religious persecution, when admitting the person would enable the United States to conform its conduct to a preexisting international agreement, or when the person is already in transit and denying admission would cause undue hardship — and it would not pose a risk to the security or welfare of the United States.

Here is a fun fact:

According to the draft copy of Trump’s executive order, the countries whose citizens are barred entirely from entering the United States is based on a bill that Obama signed into law in December 2015.

Obama signed the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act as part of an omnibus spending bill. The legislation restricted access to the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens from 38 countries who are visiting the United States for less than 90 days to enter without a visa.

WASHINGTON — A federal judge blocked part of President Trump’s executive order on immigration on Saturday evening, ordering that refugees and others trapped at airports across the United States should not be sent back to their home countries. But the judge stopped short of letting them into the country or issuing a broader ruling on the constitutionality of Mr. Trump’s actions.

Resistance is not futile!

It's a national stay and they can't be sent back to their country of origin.

You better tell the Pope to quit supporting terrorists. He is resisting the asshole President you defend to the ends of the earth.

Pope Francis condemned the hypocrisy from Christians who are merciless to refugees and people of other faiths, addressing a gathering of a pilgrimage of Catholics and Lutherans from Germany, reports Catholic News Service.

Francis rebuked “the contradiction of those who want to defend Christianity in the West, and, on the other hand, are against refugees and other religions.”

“This is not something I’ve read in books, but I see in the newspapers and on television every day,” Pope Francis said,”

“The sickness or, you can say the sin, that Jesus condemns most is hypocrisy, which is precisely what is happening when someone claims to be a Christian but does not live according to the teaching of Christ. You cannot be a Christian without living like a Christian,” he said.

“You cannot be a Christian without practicing the Beatitudes. You cannot be a Christian without doing what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 25,” a reference to what is known as the Parable of the Judgment or the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats.

The parable is found in Matthew 25:31-46, and reads in part:

“For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, A stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’
