Trump shocks the political world...

by following through on campaign promises and not changing his behavior...

The political world has been stunned by the recent behavior of President Trump. It appears that the new President has acted in an unprecedented manner by following through on campaign promises, defending himself against left wing media attacks, and basically acting the same way he acted prior to becoming President.

One political operative described the behavior of following through on campaign promises as bizarre.  "Everyone understands that campaign promises are only made to get elected. Nobody expects anyone to actually implement them. Trump apparently doesn't understand how politics is supposed to work. It's bizarre."

Meanwhile the media is dismayed by the fact that he has continued to bash them, question their reporting, and even threaten to take away special privileges for certain media outlets that he sees as being unfair to him. "It's the media's job to fawn over Democratic Administrations and be completely disrespectful of Republican administrations" a longtime political writer stated. "Did he not pay attention to the previous 24 years, when we covered up for every Clinton scandal, attacked Bush at every turn, then pretended that Obama was the greatest thing since sliced bread. He should just accept things for how they are. Who is he to try to stand up to it or change it?"

Another long time political pundit suggested that Trump does not understand the true nature of elections. "It's fine for a Republican to campaign under the guise of a conservative agenda. We understand that sometimes that helps a Republican get elected. But once the election is over, he must understand that he should govern like a liberal leaning moderate. That's the most we can allow. The fact that he won, doesn't give him the right to govern like he won."

Overall, the consensus is that Donald Trump is not only "failing to play by the rules and decorum of American politics" but that some question if he actually understands that such rules and decorum exists. "It's almost as if he thinks he can just be President Donald Trump and still act like Donald Trump the person. What is he thinking?"

Indeed!

Yes, his sheep are happy. Faux news is screaming how unfair the MSM coverage is and the hyperbole is just that, since the ban is lawful according to Rudy, because it is banning countries, not religion. Wonder how many terrorists have come from the banned list.....me thinks that is the hyperbole since none of those countries have been tied to actions in the US. JMHO so lay off with your alternate BS!

The President is attempting to govern via executive order. Although they have been used by Presidents since George Washington, Trump is trying to get around the three branches of government. His order on immigration, has already been partially stayed by a Federal judge, on a Saturday evening.

A federal judge in Brooklyn, New York issued an emergency ruling Saturday evening to prevent the deportation of travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries who have already entered the country, following President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration.

The ruling will affect all those who landed at US airports Friday evening and Saturday, after Trump signed the order halting refugee arrivals into the US for 120 days, and barring citizens of Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen for 90 days.

The ACLU had filed a habeas corpus petition on behalf of two Iraqi refugees, who were detained by border agents at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City, despite having previously been granted asylum and holding valid visas. Both men were released Saturday.

The ruling, a temporary emergency stay, now allows those who landed in the US and hold a valid visa to remain.

"There is imminent danger that, absent the stay of removal, there will be substantial and irreparable injury to refugees, visa-holders, and other individuals from nations subject to the January 27, 2017, Executive Order," US District Judge Ann Donnelly said in her ruling.

This is the first time he has been stopped. He's been trying to avoid dealing with the legislative branch, by the use executive orders. From all reports, the house and Senate are not happy. This is not going to be the last time we will put a stop to the authoritarian, wanna be dictator.

His admiration for the likes of Vladimir Putin, shows us the truth of this man. We, they people, will not let him stand.

He is resistible.

Pope Francis: You cannot reject refugees and call yourself a Christian
Kenneth Lipp | January 28, 2017

Pope Francis condemned the hypocrisy from Christians who are merciless to refugees and people of other faiths, addressing a gathering of a pilgrimage of Catholics and Lutherans from Germany, reports Catholic News Service.

Francis rebuked “the contradiction of those who want to defend Christianity in the West, and, on the other hand, are against refugees and other religions.”

“This is not something I’ve read in books, but I see in the newspapers and on television every day,” Pope Francis said,”

“The sickness or, you can say the sin, that Jesus condemns most is hypocrisy, which is precisely what is happening when someone claims to be a Christian but does not live according to the teaching of Christ. You cannot be a Christian without living like a Christian,” he said.

“You cannot be a Christian without practicing the Beatitudes. You cannot be a Christian without doing what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 25,” a reference to what is known as the Parable of the Judgment or the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats.

The parable is found in Matthew 25:31-46, and reads in part:

“For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, A stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’

“I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’

“It’s hypocrisy to call yourself a Christian and chase away a refugee or someone seeking help, someone who is hungry or thirsty, toss out someone who is in need of my help,” said Pope Francis.

“If I say I am Christian, but do these things, I’m a hypocrite.”

All nations must focus on “service to the poorest, the sick (and) those who have abandoned their homelands in search of a better future for themselves and their families.”

pResident Donald Trump is reshuffling the US National Security Council (NSC), downgrading the military chiefs of staff and giving a regular seat to his chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Mr Bannon, formerly the head of the populist right-wing, Breitbart News website, will join high-level discussions about national security.

The order was signed on Saturday.

A four star general for Steve Bannon.

CH will approve.

Since 1972 there have been 75 fatal Islamic attacks on US soil. 3,165 killed and 1,757 wounded.

And all Roger can come up with that that old chestnut about Timothy McVeigh.

Not one religious leader praised Timothy McVeigh as a hero or martyr as opposed to the thousands of Muslim imams who cheered on the 9-11 hijackers and other "Islamic martyrs".

I don't think it's too much to ask that if you want to come here to live you assimilate to life in America and live under the laws of this country instead of sharia law.

As Bobby Jindal said; "Immigration without assimilation is an invasion".

The left wants us to commit national suicide in the name of political correctness.

i'm old enough to remember THIS:

As a result of the Kentucky case, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, federal officials told ABC News – even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets. One Iraqi who had aided American troops was assassinated before his refugee application could be processed, because of the immigration delays, two U.S. officials said. In 2011, fewer than 10,000 Iraqis were resettled as refugees in the U.S., half the number from the year before, State Department statistics show.

but back then? no protests, no liberal media freak out.

There is a postponement of entry from 7 countries (Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen) previously identified by the Obama administration as posing extraordinary risks. That they are 7 majority Muslim countries does not mean there is a Muslim ban, as most of the countries with the largest Muslim populations are not on the list (e.g., Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nigeria and more).

Thus, the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world is not affected.

Moreover, the “ban” is only for four months while procedures are reviewed, with the exception of Syria for which there is no time limit.

There is a logic to the 7 countries. Six are failed states known to have large ISIS activity, and one, Iran, is a sworn enemy of the U.S. and worldwide sponsor of terrorism.

And, the 7 countries on the list were not even so-designated by Trump. Rather, they were selected last year by the Obama administration as posing special risks for visa entry, as even CNN concedes in passing:

"The order bars all people hailing from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Those countries were named in a 2016 law concerning immigration visas as “countries of concern.”"

The executive order also bans entry of those fleeing from war-torn Syria indefinitely.

He cited the very same section of law that many critics of his policies have asked him to use, "section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952." It says, "Whenever the president finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrant's or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."

He used the same provision five other times, one more in 2011, twice in 2012 and twice in 2014. In those, he targeted people aiding Iran, Syria, Crimea, and those involved in war crimes."

The Law passed by Congress gave both Obama and now President Trump the power and both used it, yet, only idiots like opium and ACLU Barbie HalfBaked are crying babying .

Many of President Donald Trump’s core political supporters had a simple message on Sunday for the fiercest opponents of his immigration ban: Calm down.

The relaxed reaction among the kind of voters who drove Trump’s historic upset victory - working- and middle-class residents of Midwest and the South - provided a striking contrast to the uproar that has gripped major coastal cities, where thousands of protesters flocked to airports where immigrants had been detained.

In the St. Louis suburb of Manchester, Missouri, 72-year-old Jo Ann Tieken characterized the president as bringing reason into an overheated debate.

“Somebody has to stand up, be the grown up and see what we can do better to check on people coming in,” she said. “I’m all for everybody to stop and take a breath … Just give it a chance.”
