A couple of questions

Given:
  • Donald Trump won the Presidency.
  • The GOP won enough seats to control both the Senate and the House.
  • Trump campaigned on building a wall and replacing Obamacare.
  • A Federal Court ruled that Obamacare subsidies to insurance companies were not authorized by Congress.

Why do the Democrats and the media insist that Trump and the GOP should forgo any funding of the wall, while agreeing to continue to fund insurance subsidies that a court has found unauthorized?

Or maybe a better question would be...

Why would the GOP even consider caving into this demand?

I think it is because the RINO's want to be loved, they do not have the political spine to take the wins and vote over the voices of the defeated Liberals.

I am hoping the President Trump can do the required surgery and give them spines, but, I don't think their bodies would except the new spine.

I find no fault of President Trump he can not write, vote and sign new laws by himself. Some republicans are gutless cowards. McCain, Lisa Gramah , Susan Collins what a waste of flesh she is and a few others.

I have to give it to Liberals when they win they go full guns a blazing to destroy the US Constitution and the working middle income earners lives.

oh, and regarding those yale psychiatrists that the alky was crowing about the other day...

quite an unethical bunch. i suppose severe and chronic TDS would do that to a person:

Since 1973, the American Psychiatric Association and its members have abided by a principle commonly known as “the Goldwater Rule,” which prohibits psychiatrists from offering opinions on someone they have not personally evaluated. The rule is so named because of its association with an incident that took place during the 1964 presidential election. During that election, Fact magazine published a survey in which they queried some 12,356 psychiatrists on whether candidate Sen. Barry Goldwater, the GOP nominee, was psychologically fit to be president. A total of 2,417 of those queried responded, with 1,189 saying that Goldwater was unfit to assume the presidency.

https://www.psychiatry.org/news-room/apa-blogs/apa-blog/2016/08/the-goldwater-rule

Section 7.3, which appeared in the first edition of the APA's code of ethics in 1973 and is still in effect as of 2017,[8] says:

On occasion psychiatrists are asked for an opinion about an individual who is in the light of public attention or who has disclosed information about himself/herself through public media. In such circumstances, a psychiatrist may share with the public his or her expertise about psychiatric issues in general. However, it is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.[1]

Violations

Regarding Donald Trump

In 2016 and in 2017, groups of psychiatrists and mental health experts faces criticism for assumed violation of the Goldwater rule, as they claimed that the US President Donald Trump had a "dangerous mental illness" and was "paranoid and delusional", despite having never examined him.[9][10] Some of them went on to criticize the rule, stating:[11]

“We have an ethical responsibility to warn the public about Donald Trump's dangerous mental illness.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldwater_rule

so, you claim an ethical responsibility to breach your own professional ethics...

...and it's trump who suffers from mental illness?

heh.

Donald Trump has long been television ratings gold, and, even as president, he has kept his eye squarely on the small screen as a gauge of his popularity, a barometer for his governing agenda and his ability to dominate the airwaves, as The Washington Post's Ashley Parker and Robert Costa reported Monday.

Now, in an interview with the Associated Press released Sunday, Trump set a new standard of hubris even for himself — comparing his ratings prowess to one of the darkest days in U.S. history: Sept. 11, 2001.

“It's the highest for 'Face the Nation' or as I call it, 'Deface the Nation,' " Trump told the AP's Julie Pace, referring to the CBS News Sunday political talk show. “It's the highest for 'Deface the Nation' since the World Trade Center — since the World Trade Center came down.

Today’s Energy Jobs Are in Solar, Not Coal
By NADJA POPOVICH APRIL 25, 2017

President Trump has promised to revive the coal industry and double down on fossil fuels, creating “so many energy jobs,” but he has so far ignored the increasingly important role of renewable power in America’s energy economy.

Last year, the solar industry employed many more Americans than coal, while wind power topped 100,000 jobs.

Fossil fuels (*Includes some fossil fuels)

Renewable and low emission technologies
Those numbers come from a Department of Energy report published in January by the Obama administration that provides the most complete picture available of American energy employment.

In 2016, 1.9 million Americans were employed in electric power generation, mining and other fuel extraction activities, according to the report – a field we’ll call power creation for short.

More than 373,000 Americans worked part or full time in solar energy, and just over 260,000 of them – or about 70 percent – spent a majority of their time on solar projects.

Most solar energy jobs were in installation, construction and manufacturing, as the relatively new industry continued to add capacity. Solar power still generated a small share of United States energy output last year.

Flynn broke the law

Former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn likely broke the law by failing to get permission to be paid for a trip to Russia in 2015, the leaders of a House of Representatives committee said on Tuesday.

During the visit, Flynn, a retired lieutenant general who advised Donald Trump's presidential campaign, dined with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"General Flynn had a duty and an obligation to seek and obtain permission to receive money from foreign governments," Jason Chaffetz, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, told reporters. "It does not appear to us that that was ever sought, nor did he ever get that permission."

The oversight panel is looking into whether Flynn fully disclosed payments from Russian, Turkish or other foreign sources.

"As a former military officer, you simply cannot take money from Russia, Turkey or anybody else. And it appears as if he did take that money. It was inappropriate and there are repercussions for the violation of law," Chaffetz said. Chaffetz is a Republican

Flynn was forced to resign on Feb. 13 for failing to disclose talks with Sergei Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States, about U.S. sanctions on Moscow and misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the conversations, which occurred in December before Trump took office.

He is a subject in investigations by intelligence committees in the House and Senate, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, into allegations Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. election. Russia has denied the allegations, which have cast a shadow over the first 100 days of Trump's presidency.

Representative Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the oversight panel, said it also appeared as if Flynn had not fully disclosed the payments after the fact as required, saying a failure to do so would be a felony.

The vesting process wasn't very good.
