This election was all about returning power to the people. I’ve spent my life working side-by-side with American builders, and now you have a builder as your President. (Applause.) One of my first acts as President was to stop one of the great sellouts of the American worker -- I immediately withdrew the United States from the disaster -- this would have been a disaster -- this would have been another NAFTA, which, by the way, is a disaster. I took you out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. (Applause.) Thank you. That one wasn’t even close. And you know it and I know it, everybody knows it.

Next, I cleared the way for the construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. (Applause.) And it’s looking like that’s going to have about 42,000 jobs involved, those two jobs. That some number of great people. That’s a big, big, beautiful -- lot of people. And Sean actually, and a whole group joined me in the Oval Office when we approved the Keystone permit.(Applause".

Yep , JOBS, returning to the USA .

WINNING for some is hard to see given they have their OBimboGlasses on.

Remember, during the "Lost Years" Unexpectedly meant revising down and down and down the projections to met the reality.

No Expectedly means the number will be better because of the Trump Effect.

Jobs were "expected" to clock in at around 175 K, well, we sprinted past that to around 260 K.

Love it, so do the UNIONS as these jobs come on line, the need for less and less Gov't hand outs will shrink the need for hand outs.

THIS IS YUGE.

The "Lost Years" BIG Lie, the reason Labor Participation rate is falling is because more older people are leaving the work force.

Yet, In a matter of just 2 months, Trump reversed that, the Labor Participation rate is on the rise.

Dec 2016 the end of the LOST YEARS = 62.7
Feb 2017 the end of the first full Month of Trump Effect = 63.0

Those that know so little about US Economics are Roger Krugman, Opium, and their love child Jane.

Bannon Removed from National Security Council

President Trump “reorganized his National Security Council on Wednesday, removing his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, and downgrading the role of his Homeland Security Adviser, Tom Bossert, according to a person familiar with the decision and a regulatory filing,” Bloomberg reports.

“Under the move, the national intelligence director, Dan Coats, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, are again “regular attendees” of the NSC’s principals committee.”

Lawmaker Suggests Trump Associates Will Face Jail Time

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) told CNN that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) should recuse himself from the investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election.
Said Castro: “Most of all we’ve said that we’re not going to let this investigation go. Whatever form it takes. We’re going to make sure we’re there to get to the bottom of whether any Americans conspired with the Russians who interfered with our 2016 election.”

He added: “My impression is that I wouldn’t be surprised if some people end up in jail. I wish I could elaborate but I cannot at this time.”

Republicans Are Going to Wish Clinton Won

Jonathan Chait: “Imagine what the political world would look like for Republicans had Hillary Clinton won the election. Clinton had dragged her dispirited base to the polls by promising a far more liberal domestic agenda than Barack Obama had delivered, but she would have had no means to enact it. As the first president in 28 years to take office without the benefit of a Congress in her own party’s hands, she’d have been staring at a dead-on-arrival legislative agenda, all the low-hanging executive orders having already been picked by her predecessor, and years of scandalmongering hearings already teed up.”

“The morale of the Democratic base, which had barely tolerated the compromises of the Obama era and already fallen into mutual recriminations by 2016, would have disintegrated altogether. The 2018 midterms would be a Republican bloodbath, with a Senate map promising enormous gains to the Republican Party, which would go into the 2020 elections having learned the lessons of Trump’s defeat and staring at full control of government with, potentially, a filibuster-proof Senate majority.

“Instead, Republicans under Trump are on the verge of catastrophe. Yes, they are about to gain a Supreme Court justice, no small thing, a host of federal judges, and a wide array of deregulation. Yet they are saddled with not only the most unpopular president at this point in time in the history of polling, but the potential for a partywide collapse the contours of which they have not yet imagined.”

“At some point, the administration weaponized the NSA’s legitimate monitoring of communications of foreign officials to stay one step ahead of domestic political opponents,” says a pro-Israel political operative who was deeply involved in the day-to-day fight over the Iran Deal. “The NSA’s collections of foreigners became a means of gathering real-time intelligence on Americans engaged in perfectly legitimate political activism—activism, due to the nature of the issue, that naturally involved conversations with foreigners. We began to notice the White House was responding immediately, sometimes within 24 hours, to specific conversations we were having. At first, we thought it was a coincidence being amplified by our own paranoia. After a while, it simply became our working assumption that we were being spied on.”

This is what systematic abuse of foreign-intelligence collection for domestic political purposes looks like: Intelligence collected on Americans, lawmakers, and figures in the pro-Israel community was fed back to the Obama White House as part of its political operations. The administration got the drop on its opponents by using classified information, which it then used to draw up its own game plan to block and freeze those on the other side. And—with the help of certain journalists whose stories (and thus careers) depend on high-level access—terrorize them.

Once you understand how this may have worked, it becomes easier to comprehend why and how we keep being fed daily treats of Trump’s nefarious Russia ties. The issue this time isn’t Israel, but Russia, yet the basic contours may very well be the same.

And this is where the WSJ comes in, with the new info that according to a Republican official familiar with deliberations by GOP lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee said that the names of two U.S. citizens who were part of Mr. Trump’s transition team have been unmasked in intelligence reports. One is Mr. Flynn and the other hasn’t been identified. The report involving Mr. Flynn documented phone conversations he had in late December with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.

The WSJ then reports that Rice had requested the unmasking of at least one
transition official — not Mr. Flynn — who was part of multiple foreign
conversations that weren't related to Russia.

And the punchline: "The Republican official and others said Ms. Rice wasn't the administration official who instigated Mr. Flynn’s unmasking."

In other words, the story that Susan Rice is the unmasker is incomplete as there is at least one more person exposing the identities of people in Trump's circle, and that the NSA and other intel agencies have been surveiling, accidentally or otherwise, at least one, so far unnamed individual, from Trump's circle. It may well be someone that the WaPo and NYT have already published about, or it may be someone who has yet to hit the newswire, delivering the latest twist of the ongoing intelligence-fed news cycle.

For now the answer is unknown, although when Rice testifies under oath before the House Intel Committee, we hope that all outstanding questions will finally get answers.

One question about jobs, when Obama was losing so many during his first years, that was not his fault, right?

Yet, when jobs came back a little , do you give him credit?

There IS no list, because Trump hasn't achieved anything yet. He's TALKED about a lot, but hasn't achieved anything. It's past time to back up the talk.

Badmouthing someone on Twitter doesn't count.

Why do I bother posting, if no one remembers?

No of course I didn't "credit Obama" when job losses finally stopped, or even on the tiny fluctuation that you're talking about.

My criticism of Obama then was, he didn't DO ANYTHING to stimulate employment. Why on earth would I "give him credit"?

What specific action of Trump? He doesn't get a "win" for "consumer confidence" etc, unless there is something he actually did.

And btw, consumer and business confidence are indicators of something else, not something that can be hailed as an achievement. What did Trump do to improve the economy for instance, that lead to improved "Business confidence"? What did Trump achieve, that has improved the well-being of consumers for example, that has lead to improved consumer confidence.

I know the answer: nothing. Because Trump hasn't succeeded at anything yet. Therefore these indicators, including the stock market, are reflecting existent trends.

Opie, you didn't read the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 as I asked, did you?

Didn't need you to ask. What is your point?

And KD, you are just an idiot....

Opie I ask because you've been sticking with the notion that Rice had the authority and right to unmask the names, just by virtue of her job.

That notion is unmistakably contrary to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, which is the only authority she, and the intelligence service, has for the surveillance in the first place.
