Media lies about Ivanka Trump's visit to Berlin

There was no booing of Ivanka
Many people were surprised by Ivanka Trump’s performance in Berlin. Contrary to the stereotype, the daughter of the US President made a sophisticated and level-headed impression at the panel discussion with Chancellor Angela Merkel, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, and head of the IMF, Christine Lagarde. The glamorous White House ambassador also cleverly handled a controversial issue.
US media, however, are focusing on something else: they claim that Ivanka was booed and sneered at.
BILD clarifies: At the “Women20 Summit”, there was in fact a moment during the panel discussion when the audience began murmuring. Panel moderator Miriam Meckel asked Ivanka whether she was speaking as the First Lady – in Melania Trump’s place – or as the new advisor to the President. Ivanka replied in a disarmingly honest way: „This role is quite new to me, it has been little under 100 days.” She said that she would be happy to bring what she learned here home with her and that she would discuss it with her father.
She also said: “I am very proud of my father. Long before he came into the presidency, he has been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive.” At this point, there was some unrest in the audience. There was no booing or heckling at all, however.
Let's start with this: I am not even sure that Europeans actually "boo". I believe they "whistle" to show displeasure. But I guess if you are just making it up as you go (which our media pretty much does) then you might as well make it up in a manner consistent with our understanding.

This came from a local German newspaper... who quite obviously had a much better opinion of who they declared to be "the glamorous White House ambassador". Something tells me that Chelsea Clinton would not have been described as "glamorous" if she had been "first daughter" representing the United States in Germany.

Imagine this scenario:

Hillary Clinton is president. It's learned that she has deep ties to Putin and the Russian spy agency. She puts utterly unqualified billionaires in cabinet posts. She pursues public policies that benefit her and her billionaire friends. She puts her daughter Chelsea in a position of influence in the West Wing, gives her her own office and allows her to use that position to forward her own business interests. And Chelsea's husband is her chief advisor. The private business trips taken by Chelsea and her husband are paid for by the taxpayers.

She refuses to release any tax returns, she blocks access to the visitor logs in the White House and Bill refuses to live in the White House so our tax dollars are spent keeping him safe in Chappaqua. Hillary spends almost every weekend lounging in her own, privately-held resort. Her private resort gets reimbursed for any and all "official" government functions (including security) because she chooses to conduct all her "business" and personal functions there. She and her family live in three White Houses at the same time.

In an interview, she names the wrong country she bombed while bragging about the chocolate cake she was eating while she ordered said bombing. I could go on and on. The point is that the outrage, the outcries, the screaming by Republicans would be heard around the world and impeachment proceedings would already be underway.

By the way, this is not about political party affiliation. Let's face it, if Hillary - or any woman or minority candidate - had five children from three partners s/he would never have survived the primary.

THIS IS WHAT WHITE, MALE PRIVILEGE LOOKS LIKE IN THE USA.

Our esteemed host would be calling for impeachment now

Well Roger

1) There are no ties between Trump an any spy agencies
2) The cabinet is considered first rate by many
3) Unlike Chelsea, Ivanka had a position of influence on her father in his business, and is about ten times more qualified than Chelsea to be an adviser
4) I couldn't care less where Melania lives, nor would I care where Bill would have hypothetically lived
5) I couldn't care less about anyone's tax returns

With the possible exception of actually finding hard evidence of collusion with the Russians, nothing mentioned would qualify as an impeachable offense. You have to actually break the law to be impeached.

Tapping successful business and military leaders (instead of grandstanding politicians) to run your government is not illegal.
Having a blood relative provide advise is not illegal.
Your spouse not moving to the White House in the middle of a school year is not illegal.
Not releasing your tax returns is not illegal.

I didn't care for much of what Obama did as President. Me not liking it, didn't cause me to call for impeachment. But then again, I am a mature adult who understands the constitution.
