Question of the day...

Why would Jared Kushner be asking Russians to create a back channel of communications?

Wouldn't it make sense that they already have one, considering all of that election collusion that they have been able to hide from our intelligence communities?

To understand this issue, it's important to realize a distinction. Using the security equipment inside the Russian Embassy is not simply "back channel".

Secondly back channel communications are an important tool for State Department relations, but secrecy from our own security apparatus and oversight is not part of it. For private individuals, who anticipate government positions, this specifically only has use for an individual desiring to act as an agent of the foreign entity.

It's not a crime.

Maybe they didn't want their negotiations published in the New York Times.

This is the damage the deep-state is doing to the Republic.

The Dirty Dozen

1: Trump tells Comey to cease and desist.
2: Trump fires a "nut case"
3: Trump brags about firing the "nut case" to the Russian ambassador and Secretary of state.
4: Trump tells the two top intelligence services to quit looking for Russian interference in the Presidential election.
5: Trump goes on his first foreign trip as President.
6: Trump gets along with the non-democratic Arab states.
7: Trump shoved a President of a NATO nation to be in the front for photographers.
8: Trump lectures fellow members of NATO for not contributing at a sufficient amount for military services.
9: The news breaks that his son in law requested a secret channel using Russian communication services.
10: It surfaces Kushner did not reveal the secret line with the Russian government in the Kremlin, in his security application for top secret clearance.
11: Withholding the secret line in his clearance questionnaire, a sworn statement, is perjury. Violation of a sworn statement, can carry a five-year prison sentence.
12: The Trump White House has "declined to comment" on the secret channel.

PS: The President's request to the intelligence agencies were surprised by his request.

This is not a Crisis, this is a choice, time for the Mellials and other stupid ilk, to grow up, stop blaming others and stop, "Adulting".

Time to really move away from childhood and put up the toys and grow the fuck up.

It’s getting harder and harder to graduate college without taking on student loans.

Nearly 70% of bachelor’s degree recipients leave school with debt, according to the White House, and that could have major consequences for the economy. Research indicates that the $1.2 trillion in student loan debt may be preventing Americans, from making the kinds of big purchases that drive economic growth, like house and cars, and reaching other milestones, such as having the ability to save for retirement or move out of mom and dad’s basement.

This student debt crisis has become so huge it’s even captured the attention of presidential candidates who are searching for ways to make college more affordable amid an environment of dwindling state funding for higher education and rising college costs. But meanwhile, the approximately 40 million Americans with student debt have to find ways to manage it. "

UPDATE< "Student Loan Debt It’s 2017 and Americans are more burdened by student loan debt than ever.

You’ve probably heard the statistics: Americans owe over $1.4 trillion in student loan debt, spread out among about 44 million borrowers. That’s about $620 billion more than the total U.S. credit card debt. In fact, the average Class of 2016 graduate has $37,172 in student loan debt, up six percent from last year."

Again, like doing drugs, being a faggot , or a drunkard, student Debt is but a choice.

Best for most of the PJ clad generation to get the fuckout and earn a living, pay this debt back (most is held by UNCLE Barrack and his forced take over of the STUDENT Slavery Hustle)

CH A good question.
Wouldn't it make sense that they already have one, considering all of that election collusion that they have been able to hide from our intelligence communities?

No, it doesn't make any sense. We have had a hotline to the Kremlin for decades.

Since we already have a highly secured direct line, using American services.

I don't think that it's necessarily illegal, but not wise to us Russian government managed service.

Some people who have been in the intelligence agencies, veterans of many years, say that his security clearance should be reversed.

If in his sworn statement specifically excluded comments on the outside, Russian communication, using Russian technology, he will probably be indicted for perjury.

opie said...

Why would Jared Kushner be asking Russians to create a back channel of communications?

Because they wanted to hide something from us. You want transparency from Pols, why do you all ignore trumps antics. Do you think jared did this on his own or did donnie direct it and jared was stupid enough to think he could hide what he wanted from the russians. Good God, when will you all open your eyes. Answer....Never. Idiots.

James Comey stated that Hillary Clinton was careless with classified information she was sworn to protect. He also stated in the hearings that if an FBI employee were to have handled classified information in that manner, that they would have had their security clearance revoked and that they would probably been fired.

Moreover... she openly lied under oath in congressional intelligence hearings.

Yet you wanted her to be President with the highest security clearance in the land.
___________

And then you argue that Jared Kushner should be charged with a crime over an alleged paperwork error.

"We don’t know how many secret back channels were used to lay the groundwork for the “interim agreement” between Iran and The Six (aka the 5+1, the United States, Germany, France, Britain, China and Russia). From time to time some journalist or another comes up with a name of one of our alleged secret diplomats (the most famous of which is that of top Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, a story I don’t believe), and on other occasions we think we can see that secret diplomacy is going on, as with the American gift to Iran of an ancient Persian chalice that turned out to be a phony, or as with the hard-to-explain release of an Iranian convicted of violating the arms embargo.

A lot of the coverage implies that the use of secret back channels is something new. It isn’t. There have been secret talks with the leaders of the Islamic Republic ever since the Revolution of 1979, and they have continued ever since. In the case of Obama, the secret contacts began during the election campaign of 2008

According to Roger and James, we should be arresting Obama for something.

Inside Obama’s Secret Outreach to Russia

President Barack Obama's administration has been working behind the scenes for months to forge a new working relationship with Russia, despite the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown little interest in repairing relations with Washington or halting his aggression in neighboring Ukraine.

This month, Obama's National Security Council finished an extensive and comprehensive review of U.S policy toward Russia that included dozens of meetings and input from the State Department, Defense Department and several other agencies, according to three senior administration officials. At the end of the sometimes-contentious process, Obama made a decision to continue to look for ways to work with Russia on a host of bilateral and international issues while also offering Putin a way out of the stalemate over the crisis in Ukraine.

Former CIA Director General Michael Hayden said that the reported plan by chief White House adviser Jared Kushner’s to arrange secret communications with the Russians during President Donald Trump’s transition was “off the map” and like nothing he has seen in his lifetime.

Hayden wants to chalk up the stunning plan to “naivety” rather than evil intentions — but that’s not reassuring, he said in an interview on CNN.

Yep, either the dumbest fuck in the US or a set a brass heuvos Remember, he was a nothing when doing this. LOL

I don’t like criminal investigations to start hoping that you have the target, maybe we’ll find the crime. Maybe we’ll find the statute. If we can’t find the statute we’ll stretch the statute to fit the person. That sounds like Lavrentiy Beria and Joseph Stalin. ‘Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.’ I don’t want to ever see that come to America.

What does it matter...

Back channel communications are not unusual, not illegal, and not unethical.

The reality here, is that once again... the liberal MSM gave everyone the "impression" that there was something inherently wrong with back channel communications, in order to rile up their faithful sheep followers.

They are running out of reasons to keep the "Russian collusion" narrative in the news. So they have to run perfectly normal stories and hyperbolize them into something they are not.

Liberals fall for it... every time!

opie said...

If done for business, yep nothing illegal there. Doing it to hide something and setting up channels before inauguration by a private citizen, deserves to be investigated. Again, CH, your lack of sophistication in your thinking is rather alarming. Your defense of an obvious problem is indicative of your inability to see straight. LOL

Or do you subscribe to the Stalinist system of jurisprudence.

Maybe they didn't want their negotiations published in the New York Times.

The NY Times is not part of the US security apparatus. They are not represented in Congress. Legitimate back-channel communications reasonably keep the conversations secret from the Times, but not from our own security apparatus nor from Congress. There is no legitimate purpose, and only risk arising from the resultant control by our adversary. The idea is irrational on the face of it, unless you need to deceive our own intelligence services. Why did Kushner need to do that, on behalf of Trump?
