Let's get back to Russia...

It's been widely reported that the CEO of CNN has been pushing the Russian narrative for "ratings".
“My boss, I shouldn’t say this, my boss yesterday we were having a discussion about this dental shoot and he goes and he was just like I want you to know what we are up against here,” Bonifield is seen saying. “And he goes, just to give you some context, President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia.”
Bonifield also suggested that the "slant" in their coverage is due to the liberal nature of their demographic viewership.
“I think there a lot of like liberal CNN viewers who want to see Trump really get scrutinized,” the CNN producer is seen saying in the video. “And I think if we would have behaved that way with President Obama and scrutinized everything that he was doing with as much scrutiny as we apply to Donald Trump, I think our viewers would have been turned off. I think they would have felt like we were attacking him. And I’m not saying all of our viewers are super liberals, I think there’s just a lot of them.”
He adds that: “Trump is good for business right now.”
Bottom line here folks... CNN is admitting to a liberal slant, to appease their liberal viewers, and admitting to using their attacks on Donald Trump to push ratings. More to the point, CNN is admitting that such decisions are business decisions and have nothing to do with the integrity of the news. In fact, the concept of the news having any integrity at all is actually being mocked by this particular CNN producer.
“It’s a business,” Bonifield says in the video. “People are like the media has an ethical … But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business. Especially cable news. Cable news isn’t the New York Times, and it’s not even like NBC News. I mean NBC News still gets 20 million viewers a night. Cable news is getting a million. So, they got to do what they got to do to make their money.”
While this may be embarrassing for CNN... it's actually most embarrassing for anyone who is watching CNN and taking what they say seriously.

Shocking, menstra boy get point shit over nothing tax breaks from trump care, but will pay dearly for higher deductibles. What an idiot..

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on the Republican legislation overhauling the Obama health care law (all times EDT):

1:10 p.m.

New analysis shows that millionaires would get tax cuts averaging $52,000 a year from the Senate Republicans' health bill.

Middle-income families would get about $260.

The analysis was done by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. It found that half of the tax cuts would go to families making more than $500,000 a year.

At the other end, families making $20,000 a year would, on average, get a $190 tax cut.

The Republican health bill would repeal and replace President Barack Obama's health law. The law imposed a series of tax increases mainly targeted high-income families. The Senate Republican bill would repeal the taxes, though not all at once.

Seems fair to me. LOLOLOL!!!

not at all.

ethics have been antithetical to the journalism business my entire lifetime. he's not wrong in admitting that fact.

last night my local PBS station ran a show on a hometown hero - william kennedy.

kennedy admitted straight up that local albany media often did the bidding of the local democrat political machine. an on the rare occasion they reported the truth they were quickly smacked back into line.

it remains that way to this day.

Well they were certainly embarrassing at today's briefing.

It is really amusing, jumping on CNN as if Fox and other "news" outlets never let their political biases in the least influence what stories they prefer to emphasize.

I will admit, thought, that I thought CNN was a bit less guilty of that.

_______________
Meanwhile, however, let's emphasize some stories I like to emphasize:
the GOP health care plan.

Despite Trump’s Claims, Obamacare Isn’t Collapsing

June 28 Congressional Budget Office: “Although premiums have been rising under current law, most subsidized enrollees purchasing health insurance coverage in the nongroup market are largely insulated from increases in premiums because their out-of-pocket payments for premiums are based on a percentage of their income; the government pays the difference between that percentage and the premiums for a reference plan… Nevertheless, a small number of people live in areas of the country that have limited participation by insurers in the nongroup market under current law.”

Just 12% Support GOP Health Plan

A NEW USA TODAY/SUFFOLK POLL finds just 12% of of Americans
approve of the Senate Republican health care plan.

Meanwhile, a 53% majority say Congress should either leave Obamacare alone
or work to fix its problems while keeping its framework intact.

“But the dilemma for the GOP is this:
Eight in 10 Republicans support repeal,
and close to a third say the law should be repealed
even if a replacement health care plan isn’t ready yet.”

Trump Will Postpone Filing Complaint Against Comey

“Donald Trump’s lawyers will postpone filing a complaint against former FBI Director James Comey with the Justice Department, according to a person familiar with the decision — a bid to stop antagonizing the special counsel who’s investigating ties between the president’s campaign and Russian officials,” Bloomberg reports.

“The president’s lawyers still intend to file a complaint at some point, the person familiar with the matter said…. The delay is a professional courtesy to the special counsel, Robert Mueller, and a signal that the White House understands he needs space to do his job.”

Coward rat, why are you still afraid to put your legal name on the pederast accusation?
________

LOL The guillotine analogy was only designed to get a reaction. Thanks.

Even Trump finally let his advisers convince him that to fire Mueller now would only increase his own troubles, so some small shreds of sanity must still be left.

Incoming elected administrations, especially the Obama transition team of 2008 in the case of Russia and Iran, seek contacts with foreign diplomats before formally entering office.

Most presidential campaigns are staffed by at least a few free-lancing opportunists who see their candidate as a nexus for profiteering. There is no need for a reminder of the lucrative careers of Bill Clinton from 2009-2012, or of Hillary Clinton’s brother, or of the nature of some of John Podesta’s investments. And foreign governments, our own included as in the case of the Obama Administration’s entrance into the Israeli elections, are frequently accused of trying to sway or indeed interfere with another nation’s campaign cycles.

Yet what is strange about the charges of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government is that those landscapes were concocted into something supposedly criminal and uniquely applicable to Donald Trump’s election and presidency. Indeed, one of the strangest events in recent political history was the post-election false news narrative that Trump and the “Russians” had colluded during the campaign to rob Hillary Clinton of a sure victory.

The discredited concoction lingers to this day, despite the fact that former FBI Director James Comey on three occasions told Trump that he was not the subject of any investigation about collusion with the Russians.

Both the former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan (both foes of Trump) at various times admitted that there was no intelligence, to their knowledge, that implicated Trump as a colluder with Vladimir Putin to gain advantage over Clinton. Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson seconded that consensus by conceding there was no evidence of any Trump campaign effort to persuade the Russian to alter the elections. In a more general sense, Barack Obama (who had intelligence reports of Russian election-cycle hacking) three weeks before the election, and the assumed certain victory of Hillary Clinton, had dismissed entirely the idea that any party could taint a U.S. election. Obama went on to accuse Trump of whining for even suggesting that the impending election might be questioned by impropriety.

Even news producers at CNN, the chief engine that drove the collusion fairy tale, were caught on camera admitting that the entire story was mostly “bulls—t”. And one producer added, “And so I think the president is probably right to say, ‘Look, you are witch hunting me.’” Recently, three staffers, including a reporter and an executive editor, resigned from CNN in disgrace for peddling more fake news accounts of collusion between Trump and the Russians.
