Will the liberal media attack a respected military leader?

There has always been sort of a longstanding expectation that former Military folks (especially those who had risen to the ranks of Generals or Admirals) are above the partisan sniping and personal attacks from political opponents and members of the media. Even those who eventually become involved in Politics.

After all, those who served our country, served both Republicans and Democrats. Those who have died or been injured in the line of duty, have sacrificed for the greater good of all Americans, conservative or liberal.

On the flip side, the liberal media pretty much despises Donald Trump so much that it just sort of expands like a diseased skin rash to everyone even remotely associated with Donald Trump. If Honest Abe Lincoln came back from the dead and said something nice about Donald Trump; Politico, WaPo, and the NYT would all send a full force of investigative reporters to dig up dirt on Lincoln in order to undercut his legitimacy.

So how will this same media react to the concept of respected General Kelly taking over as Chief of Staff for the Trump administration? Will he be given the same respect due to him, that he would be getting if he served in a different Administration, or will the claws come out for the General because he has the audacity to work for Trump?

Some are arguing that Kelly will be given some benefit of the doubt. Some even suggest that this was part of the criteria that Trump based his decision on.

But as General Flynn learned, not only is your military history not helpful, but even the normal safeguards of government privacy does not apply when you work for Trump. Confidential phone conversations with foreign diplomats were illegally unmasked to the media. These calls were reported as scandalously as possible, basically to force Trump to fire him. The President suggesting that the law enforcement who answers to him should cut Flynn a break was met with cries of "obstruction".  General Flynn should rot in jail according to liberals, for some unknown (but implied) criminal act that none of them could even describe.

It's clear to me that the left and the liberal media want the blood of anyone who associates themselves with Trump, even those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. While General Kelly no doubt deserves our respect and deference. It's unlikely he will see much of either.

Revealed: Trump's new ultra-tough Marine chief of staff had one-on-one 'raised voices' row with president in Oval Office over immigration

'Raised voices' could be heard form behind the Oval Office door as Marine General John Kelly exchanged views with the president on immigration

Trump had criticized people coming from Haiti, Afghanistan and Iran to Kelly, who was then Homeland Security secretary saying it made him look bad
Kelly said the admissions were standard and when President kept complaining asked for Oval to be cleared - and kept insisting despite Trump saying no

'It definitely has the fingerprints of a new sheriff in town,' said Blain Rethmeier, who guided Kelly through confirmation process for Homeland Security post

Raised voices could be heard through the thick door to the Oval Office as John Kelly - then secretary of Homeland Security - offered some tough talk to President Donald Trump.

Kelly, a whip-cracking retired general who was sworn in as White House chief of staff on Monday, had demanded to speak to the president alone after Trump complained loudly that the U.S. was admitting travelers from Iran, Afghanistan and Haiti.

Kelly first tried to explain to Trump that the admissions were standard - some people had legitimate reasons to visit the country - but the president insisted that it was making him look bad, according to an administration official familiar with the exchange about a month ago.

Kelly then demanded that other advisers leave the room so he could speak to the president frankly. Trump refused at first, but agreed when Kelly insisted.

Tough: Marine General John Kelly insisted on going man-to-man with Trump in the Oval Office and there were 'raised voices' when the door was closed in a row over immigration

Takes no prisoners: Kelly, decorated for his combat experience and the holder of one of the military's most important commands, will not be afraid to stand up to the president

Republicans and Democrats Suddenly Want to Fix Obamacare
NBC News

WASHINGTON — Bipartisanship is suddenly the talk of the town on Capitol Hill this week, where Republicans and Democrats are expressing a tentative desire to join hands after a brutal debate over Obamacare repeal.

In the House, the "Problem Solvers" caucus, which consists of 43 members from both parties, put out broad principles for a series of Obamacare tweaks.

"My hope is we can be responsible legislators and recognize we can take on those cost issues, we can take on the issue of health care, but let's do it together," Rep. Tom Reed, R-N.Y., who chairs the caucus, told NBC News in an interview Tuesday.

Here's your answer:

Instead Of Thanking Kelly For Firing The Mooch, The Media Attacked

When retired four-star general John Kelly took his new post as White House chief of staff on Monday, he immediately parted ways with a man whom Democrats had spent two weeks vehemently mocking.

You would have thought such a move would be considered a step in the Left’s direction. Yet it took only one glance at social media to realize that the preferred story of the day would be “White House in chaos!”

Let that sink in: The new chief of staff quickly implemented a plan to better the White House, and what’s the story? 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has fallen into ruins.

I have news for those who are so eager to see the nation’s highest office fail. No matter what your opinion of the president happens to be, “chaos” isn’t a word anyone should be associating with Kelly. You know, the man who actually parted ways with Anthony Scaramucci, former White House communications director.

No they didn't..... The WH is still a very TRE,,,,,, and chaos is not what I would describe as an attack on Kelly. They should be going after Ivanka and her dick for bringing the mooch in and remaining silent over his tirades...Classless bitch....The mooch should have been dragged out of there by his ear......

Roger -

- I can say that one of us is so personally involved and angry all the time that it's difficult to actually even see straight.

- I can say that the other one of us has taken a full two steps back and is watching objectively from the sidelines without taking sides.

So a bit of advice... just come back when you are off your meds. Because your rants are not making any sense what-so-ever.

General Kelly call Jeff sessions and said your job is safe.

He has taken on most impossible job in the planet . He has to control a 71-year-old crazy president who is not capable of being coherent or logical or even truthful. You know most of the rest of the world is scared to death what this man is done and may take United States. I don't think you can be trusted with any military conflict confrontations and all none.

Yes I'm taking sides because this man is a danger to the United States in the country that I love so much.

- you don't seem to care because you love Donald Trump that's the way it works sorry but that's the way it is.
- You have taken the side of the president from day one. And that hasn't changed on anything, even on the transgender thing. The Pentagon is saying basically shut it we can't do it from a tweet is not the law . But you still supported it.
- You said that the left was attacking General Kelly you provided nothing to back it up except your opinion.
- During the campaign he said he would be the strongest president ever and the rest of the world would have to listen to him.
- Are the Mexicans building the wall? Of course not . Did you call him out that? No
- Yes I came off a little strong but what you are doing what are you doing ? No comment on the lies about the dictation? There was a regular sequence of lies on there and you know what they are but you didn't mention that did you?
- The medication thing is just about as bad as that stupid Alky Alky Alky bullshit.
This is an important time in our life in this country and you don't seem to care.
-The president is not doing a very good job, he is doing an absolutely terrible job.
- Your topic is a fabrication I'm not on drugs but you looks like you are.

I was given a pain pill. It was the weirdest experience ever had. And I did a lot of stuff back in the 70s LSD and all that good stuff . Now I'm as clean as I got five years two months and six days of sobriety . And the drugs I take are not mentally affecting me according to the doctors and then evaluations are taken by the professionals not you. For about four hours I didn't know who the hell I was where I was anything else scared the shit out of me. Of course I'm not taking anymore either.

I'm asking just once that you stop and look at something that Trump has done you don't like. If you can.

He was upset with his generals. The story is that he was major angry.

President Donald Trump has become increasingly frustrated with his advisers tasked with crafting a new U.S. strategy in Afghanistan and recently suggested firing the war's top military commander during a tense meeting at the White House, according to senior administration officials.

During the July 19 meeting, Trump repeatedly suggested that Defense Secretary James Mattis and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford replace Gen. John Nicholson, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, because he is not winning the war, the officials said. Trump has not met Nicholson, and the Pentagon has been considering extending his time in Afghanistan.

Over nearly two hours in the situation room, according to the officials, Trump complained about NATO allies, inquired about the United States getting a piece of Afghan’s mineral wealth and repeatedly said the top U.S. general there should be fired. He also startled the room with a story that seemed to compare their advice to that of a paid consultant who cost a tony New York restaurateur profits by offering bad advice.

He knows nothing about Afghanistan. The history of the country and the religious beliefs and differences leads him to blow his top.

Let's not forget his sinking polls.

well alky, this bombshell certainly seals the deal for me.

please contact whomever you need to; maybe start with maxine waters; and let's get impeachment proceedings started post haste.

i mean, the seriousness of this charge cannot be overstated.

think about it. it's highly likely trump colluded with the russians to influence the outcome of the pinewood derby, and if true, this could shake the foundation of the scouts and entire country to it's core.

you're a true patriot alky. a beacon of truth in trying times. times that try men's souls, and with a little luck, your insane and hysterical rants could lead to the taking down of yet another GOP president.

this could be your alky-gate.

hear, hear!
