General Kelly

who was in the room when Donald Trump made his call to the widow Johnson... had this to say about the Democratic Congresswoman who is attempting to politicize the President's call to the widow, offering condolences.
“I was stunned when I came to work yesterday, and brokenhearted, when I saw what a member of Congress was doing. What she was saying, what she was doing on TV. The only thing I could do to collect my thoughts was to go walk among the finest men or women on this Earth.”
Kelly also stated that he thought that Trump's call was both appropriate and respectful, and that the President did the best he could offering his condolences. Kelly further backed Trump on another "media created controversy" when he offered that he did not receive a phone call from President Obama when his son died in battle.

So now I guess the left will apparently have to call General Kelly a liar as well as the President on this one. A man who lost his own son in battle, vs a woman who continuously votes against military benefits.

Who do you side with?

"Empty Barrel" General Kelly.

BLM Rock Star Fredrica Wilson called General Kelly a racist for using that term.

Jane, I did incorrectly state MoochElle was a cheap Chicago whore. I was wrong, she is in fact an expensive e one.

Our true First lady runs a very business like office, a budget under 1/2 a million a year and four staffers.

MoochElle spent 1.25 million and had 14 staffers.

My score is a 10.

Nearly a month after Hurricane Maria swept through Puerto Rico, almost 80 percent of the territory is still without power. While nobody expected a quick restoration of Puerto Rico's badly outdated power grid, officials have estimated that it could take at least six months.

Puerto Rico's slow restoration is in stark contrast to Florida after Hurricane Irma hit.

Within 24 hours, 20 percent of the power that had been knocked out by Hurricane Irma in Florida had been restored. Nearly half had been restored a day later, and it only took a week before more than 95 percent of Floridians had their lights back on.

Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Irma, too. It wasn't a direct hit, but two-thirds of the territory lost power. And like Florida, more than 95 percent of Puerto Ricans had power a week later.

But unlike Florida, Puerto Rico was hit again shortly thereafter. And unlike Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria swept directly through Puerto Rico, this time knocking out power across the entire territory. An outdated, aboveground power grid coupled with a comparative shortage of utility workers have hobbled efforts to restore power.

Funny.....when we drove up to georgia 3 weeks ago....on a saturday.....we saw utility truck convoys heading back home to the their respective states...Like. LA, IN, OH, IA, OK, MI, GA, and others....we counted approx 300 trucks that supported the restoration in FL. We gave them thumbs up as we passed, they were a blessing for all of FL.....that kind of support will never be available to PR and I understand that.....

Which is why it's take so long to restore power in Puerto Rico.

In Florida the power grid only suffer minor damage. And what damage it did suffer was at the neighborhood distribution.

In many cases it was just a manner of inspecting the lines and turning back on the power if there was no damage.

Those lucky people had power restored in one or two days.

Those people who had minor damage in their neighborhoods has to wait five or six days.

The unluckiest people had to wait two or three weeks.

Puerto Rico on the other hand had their entire power grid destroyed. All three parts, generation, transmission, and distribution.

We're talking about a complete rebuild of the grid and it will take months.

And yet 95 percent of power was restore within a week. The rest was severe damage in remote rural locations.

But you knew that.

Here's to my R friend who think the party will help them, especially rathole

It is unclear if Republicans will ultimately include a cap on contributions in the tax bill that they are expected to release in the coming weeks. Such a move would almost certainly prompt a vocal backlash from middle-class workers who save heavily in such retirement accounts and from the asset management industry.

The proposals under discussion would potentially cap the annual amount workers can set aside to as low as $2,400 for 401(k) accounts, several lobbyists and consultants said on Friday. Workers may currently put up to $18,000 a year in 401(k) accounts without paying taxes upfront on that money; that figure rises to $24,000 for workers over 50. When workers retire and begin to draw income from those accounts, they pay taxes on the benefits.

Rumors have circulated for months that negotiators were debating including a cap as a way to help offset the revenue loss from a reduction in business tax rates that Republicans have put at the center of their plan. Reducing contribution limits would be, in effect, an accounting maneuver that would create space for tax cuts by collecting tax revenue now instead of in the future.

Isn't this a great plan??????/ Idiots

The stunning results of the 2016 presidential election continue to be analyzed, with a new Mother Jones report alleging that Donald Trump won the crucial state of Wisconsin likely because of voter suppression.

At the heart of the controversy is the state’s strict voter ID law, passed by Republicans in 2011, which requires residents to show a specific form of identification like a driver’s license or passport before being allowed to vote.

The New York Times reports that while supporters have attributed this and similar measures to preventing voter fraud, some conservative lawmakers have reportedly admitted that the requirement helps to prevent minorities and lower-income adults -- who are more likely to be Democrats -- from participating.

According to Mother Jones, “In Wisconsin and beyond, voter suppression played a much larger role than is commonly understood.”

AdChoices
“I would estimate that 25 to 35 percent of the 41,000 decrease in voters, or somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 voters, likely did not vote due to the photo ID requirement,” Neil Albrecht, Milwaukee’s election director told the publication. “It is very probable that between the photo ID law and the changes to voter registration, enough people were prevented from voting to have changed the outcome of the presidential election in Wisconsin.”

NOT REAL: Illegal Alien Charged With California Wildfire That Killed 40 People

THE FACTS: A homeless man from Mexico was arrested on suspicion of arson Sunday in California, but a Sonoma County sheriff's official says the fire doesn't appear to be linked to the wildfires that have killed dozens. Sgt. Spencer Crum tells The Associated Press the blaze was a small fire in a park that was quickly put out. Several websites have sought to connect the man to the California wine country fires. Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan says in a statement that the agency issued detainers against the Mexican citizen, calling the charge troubling "especially in light of the massive wildfires already devastating the region."

Yep, yer all dumber than bricks.....
