Unexpected good economic news? Go figure?

U.S. retail sales increased more than expected in November as the holiday shopping season got off to a brisk start, pointing to sustained strength in the economy that could pave the way for further Federal Reserve interest rate hikes next year.
Remember, just because it didn't happen during the eight years of the Obama's administration, doesn't mean that he won't try to take credit!

After all, nothing much left of his "actual" legacy.

Why HB continues to prove he is a economic/financial retard is beyond me. One would think his 789 facebook followers would tell him. That is assuming they are not as fuck'traded as HB.

His view is this, although pres jv never ever while actually in office had this kind of private sector growth, surely he had something to do with it today. Ok, sure, I will give pres jv and MoochElle thier due, the left.

The Trump administration has delayed or withdrawn more than 1,500 regulations, according to the White House, and federal agencies plan cutting even more in 2018.

Agencies have withdrawn 635 regulations, made 244 inactive and delayed another 700 rules, according to figures provided by the White House. Added up, that comes to eliminating 22 regulations for every new one imposed.

“In 1960, there were approximately 20,000 pages in the Code of Federal Regulations, today there are over 185,000 pages,” President Donald Trump said in a speech at the White House on Thursday.

“When we’re finished … we will be less than where we were in 1960,” Trump said. Trump said excessive regulations “threaten our entire constitutional system.”

The Price of Republican Extremism

Ezra Klein: “Starting around the 2010 Tea Party surge, Republican voters have repeatedly chosen the most extreme candidates during primaries, and have paid a real electoral price, particularly in the Senate.”

“If Republicans held all these seats today, and if they hadn’t run and lost with Roy Moore on Tuesday, they would hold a 57-43 margin in the Senate, and Democrats would have no shot at taking back the chamber next year. Extremism has cost the GOP a lot of power, and blunted the natural advantage the Senate’s small-state bias gives the Republican coalition.”

The GOP Nightmare Is Just Beginning

McKay Coppins: “Roy Moore’s stunning defeat Tuesday night was met with quiet sighs of relief throughout the GOP establishment, where the culture-warring ex-judge and accused child abuser was widely regarded as radioactive. Yet even as Moore’s political obituaries were being written, party strategists were bracing for the army of Moore-like insurgents they expect to flood next year’s Republican primaries.

“Indeed, Breitbart News chief Steve BannonLuraching ever more towarad the KKK has already pledged to field challengers for every incumbent Republican senator up for reelection next year (with the exception of Ted Cruz). And even if Bannon fails to deliver on his threat, many in the GOP worry that experienced, fully-vetted candidates are going to struggle to beat back a wave of rough-edged Trump imitators who lean into the white identity politics that the president ran on in 2016.”

Most Think Trump Should Resign

A new Public Policy Polling survey finds that 53% of voters think President Trump should resign because of the allegations of sexual harassment against him, while 42% think he should remain in office.

Trump’s approval rate is 41% to 56%, which leads to this interesting point: “Much has been made of Trump’s numbers being so poor despite an improving economy, but only 32% of voters actually say their economic situation has improved in the last year. 22% think it’s gotten worse, and 42% say it’s just stayed the same.”

Looking ahead to the 2018 midterm elections, voters prefer Democrats on the generic congressional ballot by a 51% to 40% margin.

President Trump
First 10 months
Jan. 21, 2017.“I wasn't a fan of Iraq. I didn't want to go into Iraq.” (He was for an invasion before he was against it.)
Jan. 21, 2017.“A reporter for Time magazine — and I have been on their cover 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.” (Trump was on the cover 11 times and Nixon appeared 55 times.)
Jan. 23, 2017.“Between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused me to lose the popular vote.” (There's no evidence of illegal voting.)
Jan. 25, 2017.“Now, the audience was the biggest ever. But this crowd was massive. Look how far back it goes. This crowd was massive.” (Official aerial photos show Obama's 2009 inauguration was much more heavily attended.)
Jan. 25, 2017.“Take a look at the Pew reports (which show voter fraud.)” (The report never mentioned voter fraud.)
Jan. 25, 2017.“You had millions of people that now aren't insured anymore.” (The real number is less than 1 million, according to the Urban Institute.)
Jan. 25, 2017.“So, look, when President Obama was there two weeks ago making a speech, very nice speech. Two people were shot and killed during his speech. You can't have that.” (There were no gun homicide victims in Chicago that day.)
Jan. 26, 2017.“We've taken in tens of thousands of people. We know nothing about them. They can say they vet them. They didn't vet them. They have no papers. How can you vet somebody when you don't know anything about them and you have no papers? How do you vet them? You can't.” (Vetting lasts up to two years.)
Jan. 26, 2017.“I cut off hundreds of millions of dollars off one particular plane, hundreds of millions of dollars in a short period of time. It wasn't like I spent, like, weeks, hours, less than hours, and many, many hundreds of millions of dollars. And the plane's going to be better.” (Most of the cuts were already planned.)
Jan. 28, 2017.“The coverage about me in the @nytimes and the @washingtonpost has been so false and angry that the Times actually apologized to its dwindling subscribers and readers.” (It never apologized.)
Jan. 29, 2017.“The Cuban-Americans, I got 84 percent of that vote.” (There is no support for this.)
Jan. 30, 2017.“Only 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning. Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage.” (At least 746 people were detained and processed, and the Delta outage happened two days later.)

Feb. 3, 2017.“Professional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” (There is no evidence of paid protesters.)
Feb. 6, 2017.“It's gotten to a point where it is not even being reported. And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn't want to report it.” (Terrorism has been reported on, often in detail.)
Feb. 6, 2017.“And the previous administration allowed it to happen because we shouldn't have been in Iraq, but we shouldn't have gotten out the way we got out. It created a vacuum, ISIS was formed.” (The group’s origins date to 2004.)
Feb. 7, 2017.“And yet the murder rate in our country is the highest it’s been in 47 years, right? Did you know that? Forty-seven years.” (It was higher in the 1980s and '90s.)
Feb. 9, 2017.“Chris Cuomo, in his interview with Sen. Blumenthal, never asked him about his long-term lie about his brave ‘service’ in Vietnam. FAKE NEWS!” (It was part of Cuomo's first question.)
Feb. 9, 2017.“Sen. Richard Blumenthal...now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him?” (The Gorsuch comments were later corroborated.)
Feb. 10, 2017.“I don’t know about it. I haven’t seen it. What report is that?” (Trump knew about Flynn's actions for weeks.)
Feb. 12, 2017.“Just leaving Florida. Big crowds of enthusiastic supporters lining the road that the FAKE NEWS media refuses to mention. Very dishonest!” (The media did cover it.)
Feb. 16, 2017.“We got 306 because people came out and voted like they've never seen before so that's the way it goes. I guess it was the biggest Electoral College win since Ronald Reagan.” (George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all won bigger margins in the Electoral College.)
Feb. 16, 2017.“Walmart announced it will create 10,000 jobs in the United States just this year because of our various plans and initiatives.” (The jobs are a result of its investment plans announced in October 2016.)

Spam from the drunkard.LOL

Feb. 16, 2017.“We had a very smooth rollout of the travel ban. But we had a bad court. Got a bad decision.” (The rollout was chaotic.)
Feb. 16, 2017.“They’re giving stuff — what was said at an office about Hillary cheating on the debates. Which, by the way, nobody mentions. Nobody mentions that Hillary received the questions to the debates.” (It was widely covered.)
Feb. 18, 2017.“You look at what's happening in Germany, you look at what's happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this?” (Trump implied there was a terror attack in Sweden, but there was no such attack.)
Feb. 24, 2017.“By the way, you folks are in here — this place is packed, there are lines that go back six blocks.” (There was no evidence of long lines.)
Feb. 24, 2017.“ICE came and endorsed me.” (Only its union did.)
Feb. 24, 2017.“Obamacare covers very few people — and remember, deduct from the number all of the people that had great health care that they loved that was taken away from them — it was taken away from them.” (Obamacare increased coverage by a net of about 20 million.)
Feb. 27, 2017.“Since Obamacare went into effect, nearly half of the insurers are stopped and have stopped from participating in the Obamacare exchanges.” (Many fewer pulled out.)
Feb. 28, 2017.“The E.P.A.’s regulators were putting people out of jobs by the hundreds of thousands.” (There's no evidence that the Waters of the United States rule caused severe job losses.)
Feb. 28, 2017.“We have begun to drain the swamp of government corruption by imposing a five-year ban on lobbying by executive branch officials.” (They can't lobby their former agency but can still become lobbyists.)

you and the ny times and your facebook friends have it backwards, alky.

it's the "lies" as you call them that are debatable, and the economic issues that are certain.

3.3% GDP for the qtr. and something like 66 new highs for the dow. i personally have some accounts that at up 40+% with my lowest performing one up 16.5%.

THAT'S what people who are not in the death grip of TDS care about. not some nickledick bullshit from the ny times or your facebook page.

after 8 long years under a marxist narcissist regime that didn't have the first fucking clue as to what a truly robust economy was or how to get one, everyone i meet, whether they love trump or loathe him, are enjoying more economic hope, a much brighter economy, their retirement accounts are roaring back to life, and best of all, we have a president that actually likes his country. actually loves his country. it's been so long we've almost forgotten what that feels like.

peaceCommunism vs Marxism

Is there any difference between communism and Marxism? Well, the two ‘“ communism and Marxism ‘“ are the same with not much difference between the two. Communism is really based on Marxism and the two cannot be separated. However, one can see that Marxism is the theory and Communism is the practical implementation of Marxism.

Communism is the realisation of a Stateless society where all are equal. On the other hand Marxism is the framework by which such a state is developed. While Marxism is a political ideology based on Karl Marx’s ideas, communism can be called as a political system, which is based on Marxist ideology.

Marxism is a system that analysis the different aspects of a state where there exists no difference between the rich and the poor.

And Communism can be termed as a political system where all become one and the same. Communism aims at establishing a class less, egalitarian and stateless society based on common ownership, which promotes equality and fairness.

Americans Pessimistic About Trump

A new AP-NORC poll finds President Trump’s job approval rating at just 32%, making him the least popular first-year president on record.

“As 2017 comes to a close, the majority of Americans painted a broadly pessimistic view of Trump’s presidency, the nation’s politics and the overall direction of the country. Just three in 10 Americans said the United States is heading in the right direction, and 52 percent said the country is worse off since Trump became president — worrisome signs both for the White House and Republicans heading into a midterm election year where control of Congress will be at stake.”

James said...

Trump’s Lies vs. Obama’s Lies

New York Times: “After we published a list of President Trump’s lies this summer, we heard a common response from his supporters. They said, in effect: Yes, but if you made a similar list for previous presidents, it would be just as bad.

“We’ve set out to make that list… We applied the same conservative standard to Obama and Trump, counting only demonstrably and substantially false statements. The result: Trump is unlike any other modern president. He seems virtually indifferent to reality, often saying whatever helps him make the case he’s trying to make.”

--in his first ten months, Trump old nearly six times as many falsehood as Obama did during his entire presidency--

A well-known women’s rights lawyer sought to arrange compensation from donors and tabloid media outlets for women who made or considered making sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump during the final months of the 2016 presidential race, according to documents and interviews.

California lawyer Lisa Bloom’s efforts included offering to sell alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets in return for a commission for herself, arranging a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempting to secure a six-figure payment for another woman who ultimately declined to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000, the clients told The Hill.

The women’s accounts were chronicled in contemporaneous contractual documents, emails and text messages reviewed by The Hill, including an exchange of texts between one woman and Bloom that suggested political action committees supporting Hillary Clinton were contacted during the effort.

So basicly Trump's accusers were paid. Were they paid to lie?
