Leaks by former Government officials?

So Mueller is apparently looking to indict more Russians that will never see a trial... at least according to some former (and) current Government officials who leaked the information to NBC news.

The one thing strikes me about this. was that the last indictment against Russians took everyone by surprise. There had been no leaking about the indictments at all.

So these new rumors would suggest that this is either an actual strategic attempt by Mueller's team to spread some gossip, Mueller is losing control of his investigation, or there are some officials (including former) who have too much time on their hands and too vivid of an imagination.

If true, it would certainly begs the question how this alleged highly professional investigation has ended up leaking information into the waiting ears of old Obama Administration officials? Seems awful partisan and petty.

One thing is clear here. The concept of the leaks (real or imagined) is to keep the Mueller investigation in the news. It's becoming to the point where people are losing interest. Random rumors are no longer cutting it. Expert speculation has been done to death. The Russian trolling indictment didn't really blow anyone's hair back. People are not excited about Gates and Manafort's old money laundering allegations.

We are nearing the stage where Mueller will soon become irrelevant without something tangible that hits the points that he was hired to cover. That means Russians, Trump, and the 2016 election.

Its a bullshit story but the goal is to keep it in the headlines through the election.

Mueller is not desperately running out of options to investigate. He's closing in onto people who cooperated with Wiki Leaks on the release of the DNC data on specific dates. The President may have been in on the whole thing.

How a Russian Politician Cultivated the NRA

March 1, “A prominent Kremlin-linked Russian politician has methodically cultivated ties with leaders of the National Rifle Association, and documented efforts in real time over six years to leverage those connections and gain access deeper into American politics,” NPR reports.

“Russian politician Alexander Torshin claimed his ties to the National Rifle Association provided him access to Donald Trump — and the opportunity to serve as a foreign election observer in the United States during the 2012 election.

“These revelations come amid news that the FBI is investigating whether Torshin, the deputy governor of the Bank of Russia, illegally funneled money to the National Rifle Association to assist the Trump campaign in 2016.”

GOP Meltdown Over Trump’s Plan for Tariffs

“Republicans pounced on President Trump’s plan Thursday to slap tariffs of 25 percent on imported steel and 10 percent on imported aluminum, warning that it will lead to a trade war and LEAVE AMERICAN CONSUMERS PAYING THE PRICE,” NBC News reports.

“Republicans in Congress broke ranks with the president in an unprecedented way, with one after another coming forward during the day to caution about the dangers of tariffs and plead with Trump to hold off on any action.”

In my own native state of Massachusetts, the battle for American freedom was begun by the thousands of farmers and tradesmen who made up the Minute Men -- citizens who were ready to defend their liberty at a moment's notice. Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of America, cannot succeed with any lesser effort. "

. "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," Trump said.

Witnesses have been asked whether Trump himself knew then that Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta, whose emails were released several months later, had already been targeted. They were also asked if Trump was advised to make the statement about Clinton's emails from someone outside his campaign, and if the witnesses had reason to believe Trump tried to coordinate the release of the DNC emails to do the most damage to Clinton, the people familiar with the matter said.

The White House spokesman at the time, Sean Spicer, would later say that then-candidate Trump had been "joking" when he called on Russia to hack his opponent's emails.

"In 2016, the hack of my emails was often treated as a politically interesting event," said Podesta to NBC News via email. "For the record, it was a crime. Glad Mueller is trying to get to the bottom of everyone involved in that crime."

Fmr. U.S Attorney: Mueller is not done yet

What did Stone know?
Investigators are also asking questions about Trump's longtime relationship with Stone, the Republican operative, according to witnesses. Investigators have asked about Stone's contacts with WikiLeaks during the campaign and if he's ever met with Assange.

"They wanted to see if there was a scheme. Was Stone working on the side for Trump?" after he officially left the campaign, one person interviewed by the special counsel's office said, adding that it seemed investigators wanted to know, "Was this a big plot?"

Russia stole emails from the DNC and Podesta, according to U.S. intelligence officials, and released batches of them through WikiLeaks starting in July 2016 and up until the election.

There is still no evidence tying Trump to Russian conspiracy

MSNBC host Ari Melber immediately disagreed and said I was assuming that the absence of evidence means that a case could not be made. Putting aside that I expressly referred only to the known evidence and left open the possibility of new evidence, the exchange reflects a common disconnect in the analysis of collusion theories. Critics of the president seem more than willing to speculate on highly attenuated evidence of some criminal conspiracy but refuse to acknowledge the continued absence of any direct or even plausible evidentiary basis for collusion.

The fact is that the Russians did not have to collude to achieve their purpose of disruption and influence. Russian intelligence is not known to run “colluders” in carrying out secret operations and rarely expose their operations in gratuitous meetings. Collusion theories tying Donald Trump to a Russian conspiracy remain the case of the dog not barking.

After more than a year of intensive investigation by both the special counsel and multiple congressional committees, there is no direct evidence of Trump colluding with Russians. After roughly 100 criminal counts against 19 defendants and five plea deals with cooperating witnesses, there is no direct evidence. After dozens of pages of “speaking indictments” by Robert Mueller describing Russian operatives trying to influence the election and false statements from former Trump aides, there is no direct evidence.

This investigation should be at an end.

Once again, it is the R's who are the leakers....shocking!!!!!

The Senate Intelligence Committee has found that Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are responsible for leaking to Fox News confidential text messages between the Senate panel’s highest ranking Democrat and a Washington lobbyist associated with a Russian billionaire, sources familiar with the situation told The New York Times on Thursday.

Two Senate committee members ― Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), whose texts were leaked, and Sen. Richard M. Burr (R-N.C.), the panel’s chairman ― were “perturbed” by the findings and discussed them with House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) last month, the sources told the Times.

The senators, whose committee is conduction an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, reportedly relayed to Ryan their concern about the direction of the House panel under the leadership of its chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.). Nunes drafted and pushed for public release a controversial memo last month accusing the Justice Department and FBI of impropriety in their separate probe into the Russian meddling and possible connections to President Donald Trump’s campaign.

Fox News touted the text exchange as an “exclusive,” but even some Republicans discounted its worth.

What a liability Mr. Kushner has proved to be. American officials have intercepted conversations in which at least four countries, including China and the United Arab Emirates, discussed ways to take advantage of Mr. Kushner’s indebtedness, naïveté and ignorance of foreign policy to further their interests, according to The Washington Post. This week, The Times reported that Kushner Companies received hundreds of millions of dollars in loans through American companies, including Citigroup and the private equity firm Apollo Global Management, after their top executives met with Mr. Kushner in the White House. The Qatari government’s investment fund was a major investor in Apollo’s real estate trust.

This was all occurring while Mr. Kushner had access to top-secret intelligence, despite having failed to secure a permanent security clearance. His faulty disclosures of his financial interests and foreign contacts and his indebtedness have most likely held up his clearance for more than a year. His access was downgraded this week from top secret to secret, hardly reassuring.

"At the request of the Secretary, the agency is working to rescind the order for the dining room set," communications director Raffi Williams said in a statement.

HUD confirmed that agency staff ordered the furniture for the room adjacent to Carson's office. The agency released documents detailing the purchase in response to questions about a complaint filed by an employee who said she felt pressured to approve funds to decorate Carson's office that were above the legal limit.

A car blew up in Woodlawn Thursday after the driver spritzed an aerosol body spray in the vehicle and then lit a cigarette, according to Baltimore County Police.

Baltimore County Police spokeswoman Jennifer Peach said the driver was running the car’s air conditioning with the front windows rolled down as he sprayed the body spray. When he was finished, he lit a cigarette.

What followed, Peach said, “I would say it would be best to describe as a sudden and violent expansion of the air molecules in that vehicle.” It created a boom that blew the car’s doors open, pushed the roof up and shattered the front window.

The driver appeared unharmed, said Peach, but was taken to the hospital to check for hearing damage.

The car, a Chevy, bore the sign of a local catering company. A call to that company was not immediately returned.

The takeaway? Don’t use body spray inside a car, police spokeswoman Natalie Litofsky said.

Oh My: IG To Accuse McCabe Of Misleading Investigators, Approving Leak

Misleading investigators? Isn’t that what Michael Flynn and George Papadopoulos are getting prosecuted for doing? According to a Washington Post report last night, the Department of Justice Inspector General will accuse former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe of approving an improper leak to the Wall Street Journal just before the election, and then misleading investigators who attempted to look into it:

The Justice Department inspector general is preparing a damaging report on former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, alleging he was responsible for approving an improper media disclosure, two people familiar with the matter said. One of the people said McCabe will also be accused of misleading investigators about his actions.

The report is a part of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s broad review of the FBI and Justice Department’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

During that work, inspector general’s investigators found that McCabe had authorized the disclosure of information to the Wall Street Journal for an October 2016 story that examined feuding inside the FBI and Justice Department around the handling of a separate investigation into Clinton’s family foundation, two people familiar with the case said.

Those probing the matter believe that McCabe, who stepped down in January, misled them when they initially inquired about the subject, though one person familiar with the forthcoming report said McCabe disputes that he intentionally misled investigators.

Of course it stands to reason, if McCabe authorized leaks once he authorized it several times.

BTW....seems the McCabe problem was directed at hillary, not trump....The hot air piece once again got it wrong...no surprise there...LOLLOLO at all you idiots...

WASHINGTON — A Justice Department review is expected to criticize the former F.B.I. deputy director, Andrew G. McCabe, for authorizing the disclosure of information about a continuing investigation to journalists, according to four people familiar with the inquiry.

Such a damning report would give President Trump new ammunition to criticize Mr. McCabe, who is at the center of Mr. Trump’s theory that “deep state” actors inside the F.B.I. have been working to sabotage his presidency. But Mr. McCabe’s disclosures to the news media do not fit neatly into that assumption: They contributed to a negative article about Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration’s Justice Department — not Mr. Trump.

The department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, has zeroed in on disclosures to The Wall Street Journal as part of a wide-ranging investigation into, among other things, how the F.B.I. approached the 2016 inquiry into Mrs. Clinton’s handling of classified information. Mr. Horowitz has said he expects to release a report this month or next.

BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — The steel mill where Patti Stroud’s husband worked for 26 years shut down a few weeks before Election Day in 2016. Though she is a registered Democrat, Ms. Stroud had long since drifted away from the party over its liberal social policies. So she voted for Donald J. Trump, hoping he would shake up Washington and bring back steel, the way he promised.

“I’m not a loyal anything,” she said. “I used to vote straight Democrat all the time, but those times have changed.”

Sixteen months later, Ms. Stroud, a 56-year-old house cleaner, feels politically adrift again.

“I thought we needed a big change, and boy, did we get it,” she said ruefully outside an I.G.A. market recently. President Trump “put his foot in his mouth one too many times,” she said.

Most of the country will have to wait until November to have another say in a federal election, but Ms. Stroud and her neighbors in southwest Pennsylvania will get their chance much sooner, in a special election March 13 to fill a vacant congressional seat. And how they feel about Mr. Trump now may make a big difference in the race.

Senior White House adviser and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, in charge of a massive portfolio ranging from government reinvention to relations with China and Mexico to Mideast peace, can no longer credibly serve the American people.

This week, after more than a year of Kushner working under a provisional top-secret clearance, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly downgraded his status. As a result, he can no longer read the highly sensitive President’s Daily Brief, much less learn about classified details on world affairs.

It had to come to this.

Kushner revised his financial disclosure forms multiple times to address “inadvertently omitted” assets; other forms were updated after the press revealed forgotten preelection meetings with, yes, Russian officials.

A Washington Post report suggests another area in which Kushner is already compromised: Officials in at least four countries — including the United Arab Emirates, China, Israel and Mexico — privately discussed how to manipulate Kushner via his business contacts, heavily leveraged real-estate assets and foreign policy inexperience.
