- Like Trump, Ocasio-Cortez has taken extreme positions as anchors, making a "big ask" up front, possibly to make her look more "reasonable" as she pulls away from them. Socialism, medicare for all, and completely abolishing Ice.
- Like Trump, her supporters seem to support her regardless of what she says and does, while her opposition cannot seem to stop attacking her and calling her out on all of her "lies" and seemingly "uninformed" beliefs.
Now I am not 100% sold on this theory, but Adams makes the argument that whatever her politics, Ocasio-Cortez has massive underlying "persuasion skills". As Adams has pointed out in the past and continues to point out today, with the proper "persuasion skills", things like the truth, facts, and logic are irrelevant.
Perhaps in the same manner that Trump was able to key into a wide segment of the population that had felt downtrodden and were taken in by the promises of social and economic redemption, Ocasio-Cortez has been able to tap into a different segment of the population that are otherwise taken in by the big promises of extreme liberalism, open borders, and free stuff for everyone.
Of course to me, she is the queen knucklehead overseeing her flock of knuckleheads who believe she will lead them to the knucklehead promise land. But isn't that exactly how the Trump haters see Trump and his followers?

To collude with the Russians in a conspiracy to in effect defeat Hillary Clinton is a crime. The Gold Tower meeting is not evidence of collusion but there is the three stages of deception.

And to what extent was Downer a reliable, impartial interpreter of exactly what Papadopoulos told him and the trustworthiness of what he said? To what extent, if any, did Downer’s relationship with the Clintons cause him to make more of drunken bar talk than he should have?

Rather, you had an Asst Attorney General who should have recused himself by almost all legal accounts, who appointed a former colleague to take over a counter-intelligence investigation, and his own attorneys stated under oath and other questioning by a Judge that Rosenstein provided "secret authorization" to Mueller that was not known to congress or the American people.
So the entire "set up" of this investigation is illegitimate in several ways.
The attorneys in the Manafort case basically admitted to the Judge that they were not in compliance with Justice Department rules as it pertained to the Special counsel statutes, but that them being out of compliance did not offer Manafort relief from prosecution.
Mueller seemed to go "out of his way" to find Clinton supporters. Has had to relieve two people after it was publicly shown that they had anti-Trump bias.
Mueller charged several people (including Manafort, Papadopoulos, Flynn) for actions that he did not "uncover" or even neccesarily investigate. He just chose to charge them when the FBI didn't.
General Flynn was an obvious and classic perjury trap. They went in, interviewed him outside of an Attorney about a telephone call that they had a transcript of.
Why, Roger, would you "need" to ask someone about a conversation you have taped, if not specifically to try to catch them in a lie (which is a perjury trap). Then threaten to indict his son if he doesn't plead guilty. This is what you call legitimate law enforcement? Mueller is everything that is wrong with Law enforcement.
