Ted Cruz is facing a challenge from a Democrat who may be one of the next generation Democrats who could sweep up the Trump White House and one day might hold the office.

"Your job as Senate Democratic leader is to lead your caucus in complete opposition to Trump's attempted Supreme Court takeover and to defend everyone threatened by a Trump Supreme Court,” the letter said. “But unbelievably, nearly two dozen Democrats have still not come out against Kavanaugh, and just last week, you helped Majority Leader Mitch McConnell fast track 15 Trump judicial nominees. That is not the leadership we need.”
But the demographics favor Beto if they defy the usual turnout it could be an interesting day.
Beto O'Rouke rented a VFW hall for a rally but he wanted the VFW to take down the American flags because the people at the rally wouldn't "feel comfortable" with the flags on the wall.
The VFW said "Hell No!!!" Don't think the VFW is going to vote for him. Makes you wonder what the hell kind of people would.
We spoke to Dry by phone on 7 September 2018. He said that two people asked him to take the VFW post’s flags down, but he didn’t know who the people who approached him were:
As the hall was starting to fill up a young lady came up and said, ‘can we take the flags down,’ and I said ‘no.’ At this point in time I don’t know what she was referring to — we have a large American flag and a large Texas flag against the wall behind the stage as a back drop. We also have them on either side of the stage in the stands. Another young man came up and asked again. I was a little upset and I very rudely said not only ‘no’ but ‘hell no.’ Whether these people work for Mr. O’Rourke or not, I do not know.
Snopes rates the story "Unproven" but it defies common sense to think a total stranger would come off the street to make that request. It was somebody most likely who thought he/she had authority to speak for the campaign. Most likely junior staffers in advance.

Beto isn't going to beat Cruz. But its amusing watching the news media puff him up in article after article, just as I predicted a couple weeks ago.
Its also amusing watching Obama try to take credit for jobs he said would never come back.
