New unfounded allegations?

So disgusted with politics right now I could vomit

Let's be clear... Republican leadership "allowing" unfounded decades old allegations to be taken seriously, you simply allow for others to step forward with unfounded allegations and demand the same.
  • We now have another unfounded allegation from 35 years ago with no corroboration, and an admitted memory issues from the accuser admitting to being highly inebriated, along with denials from anyone and every named (with similar praising of Brett Kavanaugh). According to the story, even her "best friend" in college disputes that this happened.
  • Also Stormy Daniels attorney is now claiming "he" has an additional client who will no doubt tell another unfounded story with no corroboration from anyone at all.
A massive smear campaign has been waged on someone who is arguably one of the most highly respected people ever to be nominated to the Supreme Court, by pretty much everyone who knows him or works with him.

All I can say is that I hope certain people have learned their lesson here. I know the Democrats have.

College classmate says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at Yale party

This probably is another example of a patriotic war against a sexual assaultant who should never become a justice on the Supreme Court of the United States.

These nine people are the third branch of the government under the Constitution. There should be absolutely any doubt on a nominee for a lifetime appointment.

There is enough doubt. I understand why you don't want to hurt his family and his career. But this just needs to be resolved by the President withdrawal of the nomination. He can appoint another conservative original intent candidate.

As to playing politics, let's remember that Obama's nominee didn't even get a single hearing.

Let's see what happens in November and see if he can ever get a nominee.

Geez this is insane.

Brett Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual misconduct by a second woman, a former Yale classmate, according to a bombshell report published Sunday by The New Yorker.

Deborah Ramirez, 53, says Kavanaugh, also 53, exposed his penis, put it in her face, “caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away” and laughed about it during a dorm-room party in Yale’s Lawrance Hall while they were freshmen in the 1983-84 school year, according to the outlet’s story by Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer.

“This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen,” Kavanaugh said in a statement to The New Yorker. “The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name — and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building — against these last-minute allegations.”

“This 35-year-old, uncorroborated claim is the latest in a coordinated smear campaign by the Democrats designed to tear down a good man,” White House spokesperson Kerri Kupec told the publication. “This claim is denied by all who were said to be present and is wholly inconsistent with what many women and men who knew Judge Kavanaugh at the time in college say. The White House stands firmly behind Judge Kavanaugh.”

Avenatti says he has witnesses who can back sexual assault claims against Kavanaugh

Aris Folley 34 mins ago

Kavanaugh faces new accusations from Yale…

Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, is calling for the Senate to hear testimony from unnamed witnesses he claims can corroborate new allegations of sexual assault involving Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Earlier on Sunday, Avenatti announced that he is representing a client with “credible information” regarding Kavanaugh and his former classmate, Mark Judge.

“I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge,” Avenatti said on Twitter. “We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify.”

“The nomination must be withdrawn,” he added.

The lawyer shared another tweet shortly after that included a screenshot of an email he received from Mike Davis, the chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee, calling him to “advise of this information immediately so that Senate investigators may promptly begin an inquiry.”

Avenatti’s response to the email was also included in the photo, to which he told Davis that he is “aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s, during which Brett Kavanagh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.

"There are multiple witnesses that will corroborate these facts and each of them must be called to testify publicly,” Avenatti continued, before going on to list several questions he advised Senate investigators to pose to Kavanaugh “without delay and provide the answers to the American people.”

Avenatti has not revealed the identity of the client.

His remarks arrive as Kavanaugh continues to face controversy surrounding sexual assault allegations brought by Christine Blasey Ford.

Last week, Ford told the Washington Post that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, groped her and attempted to remove her clothes while they were at a high school party in the 1980s. She also alleged that Judge was present in the room during the alleged incident. Kavanaugh and Judge have denied the allegations.

Avenatti’s tweets also arrived the same explosive report was published in The New Yorker stating that Senate Democrats are currently looking into a new allegation of sexual misconduct regarding Kavanaugh brought forth by a woman identified as Deborah Ramirez. Kavanaugh has also denied those claims.

Avenatti confirmed shortly after the report that the client he was referring to is not Ramirez.

The New Yorker Story.

te Republicans press for a swift vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Senate Democrats are investigating a new allegation of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh. The claim dates to the 1983-84 academic school year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman at Yale University. The offices of at least four Democratic senators have received information about the allegation, and at least two have begun investigating it. Senior Republican staffers also learned of the allegation last week and, in conversations with The New Yorker, expressed concern about its potential impact on Kavanaugh’s nomination. Soon after, Senate Republicans issued renewed calls to accelerate the timing of a committee vote. The Democratic Senate offices reviewing the allegations believe that they merit further investigation. “This is another serious, credible, and disturbing allegation against Brett Kavanaugh. It should be fully investigated,” Senator Mazie Hirono, of Hawaii, said. An aide in one of the other Senate offices added, “These allegations seem credible, and we’re taking them very seriously. If established, they’re clearly disqualifying.”

The woman at the center of the story, Deborah Ramirez, who is fifty-three, attended Yale with Kavanaugh, where she studied sociology and psychology. Later, she spent years working for an organization that supports victims of domestic violence. The New Yorker contacted Ramirez after learning of her possible involvement in an incident involving Kavanaugh. The allegation was conveyed to Democratic senators by a civil-rights lawyer. For Ramirez, the sudden attention has been unwelcome, and prompted difficult choices. She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident. In her initial conversations with The New Yorker, she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty. After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away. Ramirez is now calling for the F.B.I. to investigate Kavanaugh’s role in the incident. “I would think an F.B.I. investigation would be warranted,” she said.

Oh shit Scott

Lawyer Michael Avenatti told the Senate Judiciary Committee late Sunday that he has multiple witnesses who can say Brett Kavanaugh participated in gang rapes of drunken women during high school.

“We are aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s during which Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them,” Avenatti said in an email to Mike Davis, chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee.

We are considering the possibility of the placement of a sexual predator on the Supreme Court. This will come down to either a withdrawal or a up or down vote based upon political beliefs and the rights of the women who were subject to sexual assault.

In a statement, two of those male classmates who Ramirez alleged were involved in the incident, the wife of a third male student she said was involved, and three other classmates, Dino Ewing, Louisa Garry, and Dan Murphy, disputed Ramirez’s account of events: “We were the people closest to Brett Kavanaugh during his first year at Yale. He was a roommate to some of us, and we spent a great deal of time with him, including in the dorm where this incident allegedly took place. Some of us were also friends with Debbie Ramirez during and after her time at Yale. We can say with confidence that if the incident Debbie alleges ever occurred, we would have seen or heard about it—and we did not. The behavior she describes would be completely out of character for Brett. In addition, some of us knew Debbie long after Yale, and she never described this incident until Brett’s Supreme Court nomination was pending. Editors from the New Yorker contacted some of us because we are the people who would know the truth, and we told them that we never saw or heard about this.”

Rule of law and presumption of innocents is not just a criminal rule. It's a guiding principle in all manner of disputes that occur in life. The principle that the accuser has the burden of proof is the reason why Americans have a reputation of being the most fair-minded people on earth.

However I and not surprise thar you would be so unprincipled and short-stghted as to throw this over for temporary political gain.

The topper came from when Ramirez admitted that initially, she could even be sure that it was Kavanaught . But after talking to lawyers and advocates and "examining her memory" for six days she decided to come out.

She was obviously pressured to come forward with a story to destroy Kavanaugh's reputation regardless of whether it's true or not.

VIRGINIA BEACH — Representative Scott Taylor, Republican of Virginia, has enjoyed a rapid political rise anchored in his valorous background as a member of the Navy SEALs, a credential with great resonance in a district that includes the world’s largest naval station and one of the highest concentrations of voters connected to the military. Fit, square-jawed and telegenic, he was expected to have a relatively easy time winning re-election in November.

But now he is threatened with a sudden fall: His campaign is facing accusations that it was part of an improper effort to help an independent candidate get on the ballot and siphon voters from his Democratic challenger. The allegations, which included using the names of dead people or voters who did not live in the district on signature petitions, were serious enough to warrant the appointment of a special prosecutor, and the independent candidate, Shaun Brown, was stricken from the ballot by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Mr. Taylor’s race is emblematic of an emerging problem for Republicans as they seek to maintain an increasingly tenuous grip on the House: A seat once considered relatively safe is now imperiled because of scandal, expanding an already broad field of Democratic opportunity.

Obama Won -

Obama institutionalized the idea that a Silicon Valley hipster billionaire could and should play act being left-wing, if only he would pledge to use his wealth and power to promote progressive causes, whose consequences he cynically would be able to avoid by virtue of his influence and riches.

Hollywood celebrities, Wall Street schemers, and techie billionaires all entered the public square demonizing “white privilege” that the rich enjoyed by fobbing it off on those poorer who had none of it. The substitution of race and gender for class, then, was Obama’s truly signature achievement.

It was no accident that in the days after he left office, the Obamas cut nearly $60 million in book and film deals, while Obama himself took off to millionaires’ yachts and islands to deplore the Trump Administration, whose policies were beginning to help the unemployed that had been most left behind by his own boutique environmental and regulatory policies so cherished by the affluent.

By 2017, these fundamental transformations were clear. Americans now scrambled to find their proper tribe (and on occasion gender), either for careerist advantage or for perceived protection, from the government. And the very rich had found a way to be the very cool, by virtue signaling their superficial embrace of tribalism, just as in private they continued to live their mostly apartheid existences. Shouting from the rooftops that one “celebrates diversity” meant that behind the enclave wall he didn’t need to.

The agenda of balkanizing America into tribes, and white/nonwhite binaries, and galvanizing the rich and poor against the middle class was Obama’s only real legacy. But it is a legacy that nonetheless fundamentally transformed America.

this is how democrats roll. they've always been this way. they're scum, they have no moral compass, only moral relativism, anything goes, it's winner take all and they've turned politics into a blood sport. don't lose sight of the fact that this isn't really about kavanaugh and his childish antics. this is about the singular holy sacrament of liberalism - abortion. the ability to continue the slaughter of millions is the most cherished right of all to a democrat. more cherished than the bill of rights. more cherished than freedom, liberty and property rights.

And Leland Keyser, who says she believes Ford, says that doesn't even remember being at a party where Kavanaugh was present.

Rosenstein had been overseeing the investigation of special counsel Robert S. It wasn’t immediately clear what Rosenstein’s departure might mean for that investigation, or who now would oversee it, though that role could naturally fall to Solicitor General Noel Francisco.
