About those emails

Nolte: 11 Reasons Comparing Ivanka’s Emails to Hillary’s Is Stupid

  1. Ivanka did not know she was doing anything wrong. Hillary did.
  2. Ivanka did not engage in a cover up by deleting her emails, which means no laws were broken regarding the Presidential Records Act. Hillary deleted 33,000 emails.
  3. No classified information passed through Ivanka’s personal email account. According to the FBI, Hillary sent or received over 100 emails containing classified information.
  4. Ivanka did not set up a secret server in the bathroom of her private home. Hillary did.
  5. Ivanka did not lie about her emails. Hillary lied repeatedly.
  6. Ivanka did not use BleachBit. Hillary used BleachBit to ensure no one would ever read the 33,000 emails she deleted.
  7. Ivanka did not use a hammer to smash phones as a means to ensure no one saw her emails. Hillary used a hammer to destroy multiple mobile devices.
  8. Ivanka did not deliberately attempt to hide her emails from the public and government. Hillary set up a secret server in her bathroom, deleted 33,000 emails with BleachBit, and took a hammer to her phones.
  9. This is the first time Ivanka has worked in government — which lends credibility to the fact she did not know she was violating policy. Hillary installed a secret server after serving for two decades in government.
  10. Ivanka was not properly trained on the use of government and personal email. Hillary was and signed a document to that effect.
  11. Hillary claimed those 33,000 deleted were related to children and “yoga routines.” While she has not made this claim, it would be more believable coming from Ivanka.
This sort of thing should be obvious to everybody, but unfortunately in this day in age, it's not.

While the left keeps demanding that there is some sort of hypocrisy involved because nobody on the right wants to "lock her up" (her being Ivanka) - the reality is that Hillary Clinton was never charged and deemed by liberal hero "James Comey" to have done nothing that any reasonable prosecutor would attempt to charge her for.

So the question because... if no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges against Hillary for her email behavior, why would anyone believe that "any" prosecutor would demand that Ivanka Trump was breaking the law?

More to the point, in Government there are policies and laws. You can break policies and not necessarily be breaking law. While it may be against certain policies to conduct business on a personal email, rather than through your secured government issued email, it is against the "law" to send classified information over personal email.

Why does donnie lie about the e-mails....CH...ivanka fucked up, they know it...She saw the old man try to eviserate Hillary then does the same stupid thing hillary did....BTW....a private server probably is more secure than the public server she used....sad...

Donald Trump doesn’t mind using flawed logic to get him out of a hole, and in some cases when even that doesn’t work, the president simply “invents” facts.

Another example of such inventiveness came this week when Trump, who has seen the now Democrat-controlled House Oversight and Government Reform Committee begin an investigation into whether or not Ivanka Trump used private email for government-related business, cooked up more than a 100,000 Hillary Clinton emails which don’t exist.

Clinton had used her private server for government-related emails back when she was the Secretary of State, 33,000 of which were eventually deleted by an employee managing Clinton’s private email. However, a subsequent investigation by the FBI, although it rebuked Clinton for her carelessness, didn’t find anything criminal in her actions.

But that hasn’t stopped Trump from continuing to attack Clinton, and now when his own daughter is accused of using a private email address to send government-related emails, the president made up an additional 100,000 Hillary emails to defend Ivanka Trump’s actions, as reported by Newsweek.

“There was no deletion of emails like the 33,000 plus, probably another hundred thousand, that Hillary Clinton did after she got a subpoena.”
There is absolutely no evidence to back up his claim, and the number of deleted Clinton emails has not changed since it was first reported. So Trump seems to have invented 100,000 emails to deflect from the accusations that plague his own daughter. The president also said that none of the emails Ivanka sent were classified, saying she was “very innocent,” and that it happened over a “short period of time” and “very early on” in her service.

C.H. Truth said...

Well Denny...

Since Clinton never turned her server over to the FBI (until after she used BleachBit to wipe it clean) we will never know for sure how many emails she deleted.

So there is no evidence existing as to how many emails she actually deleted. By logic, there is no more evidence to dispute the claim than there was to make it. It's sort of ironic to criticize someone for making a claim that will have exactly the same amount of evidence that your criticism has.

btw... when someone has evidence, and the FBI subpoenas that evidence, and then the person in question destroys said evidence so that the FBI cannot examine it...

what, again, in legal terms, would that be called?

Oh, yeah... obstruction.

When your last name is Trump, you are guilty if accused, and then still guilty if after 2.5 years there is still no evidence of a crime.

The reality is that the Democrats in the House will start off in January calling for investigations of Ivanka Trump over an email thing that falls far short of what they spent most of the 2016 campaign claiming was not worthy of investigation (when it came to Clinton).

They won't find anything that even closely resembles what Hillary did, but will still puff out their chests and act like they did everyone a service.

You don't believe that any responsible prosecutors working for the Department of justice didn't find any credible evidence against Hillary Clinton because he or she was politically biased and refused to charge Clinton with any wrongdoing or breaking the law.

They may just be the day to day stuff that most of us do. But again Scott she did use private email. Despite being informed of the restrictions on the use of private email addresses.

As was pointed out (by Clinton and all of her surrogates), lot's of government officials have used personal email. They pointed to the fact that Colin Powell used it exclusively for pretty much anything "INTERNAL" that was not confidential. As long as those emails were provided and archived into the system according to the law, this was not considered a "criminal act".

Clinton used her email both internally, as well as externally, and was found to have several dozen threads and over 100 individual emails containing confidential information, some of which was deemed "top secret".

Quite literally Ivanka is accused of the very same behavior that Clinton and her surrogates (as well as people like you) argued was not against the law. For the most part, the issues people had was that she (Clinton) attempted to hide the fact she was using personal email, she used it for non-internal matters, she sent and received classified information, and she didn't properly archive those emails as required by law.

Lastly, she destroyed the server while it was under federal Subpoena.

So I guess the reality her Roger is that some of us are smart enough to tell the difference here.

And some of us is either too stupid, or too inebriated to understand the difference?

So tell me Roger? Are you smart enough to see the obvious difference here?

Europe and its train infrastructure move people efficiently around without the same political BS of trump wanting to defund the service..Trains are extremely efficient moving people from point a to b with minimal problems...The problem is America's dependence on the auto which generally is a lot quicker for short trips than trains. Until we change the american mindset, train travel will be on the back burner. The need for high speed rail between node points is pressing, but very expensive...Look at the TGV in france....most use train for convenience, unlike here...!!! When in Paris this past spring...hopped trains all around the city and burbs,,,,it was a joy and great way to travel...

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

The federal government on Friday released a long-awaited report with an unmistakable message: The impacts of climate change, from deadly wildfires to increasingly debilitating hurricanes and heat waves, are already battering the United States, and the danger of more such catastrophes is worsening.

The report’s authors, who represent numerous federal agencies, say they are more certain than ever that climate change poses a severe threat to Americans’ health and pocketbooks, as well as to the country’s infrastructure and natural resources. And while it avoids policy recommendations, the report’s sense of urgency and alarm stand in stark contrast to the lack of any apparent plan from President Trump to tackle the problems which, according to the government he runs, are increasingly dire.

The congressionally mandated document — the first of its kind issued during the Trump administration — details how climate-fueled disasters and other types of worrying changes are becoming more commonplace around the country and how much worse they could become in the absence of efforts to combat global warming.

Already, western mountain ranges are retaining much less snow throughout the year, threatening water supplies below them. Coral reefs in the Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, and the U.S.'s Pacific territories are experiencing severe bleaching events. Wildfires are devouring ever larger areas during longer fire seasons. And the country’s sole Arctic state, Alaska, is seeing a staggering rate of warming that has utterly upended its ecosystems, from once ice-clogged coastlines to increasingly thawing permafrost tundras.

The National Climate Assessment’s publication marks the government’s fourth comprehensive look at climate change impacts on the United States since 2000. The last came in 2014. Produced by 13 federal departments and agencies and overseen by the U.S. Global Change Research Program, it stretches well over 1,000 pages in length and draws more definitive, and in some cases startling, conclusions than earlier versions.

The authors argue that global warming “is transforming where and how we live and presents growing challenges to human health and quality of life, the economy, and the natural systems that support us.” And they conclude that humans must act aggressively to adapt to current impacts and mitigate future catastrophes “to avoid substantial damages to the U.S. economy, environment, and human health and well-being over the coming decades.”

“The impacts we’ve seen the last 15 years have continued to get stronger, and that will only continue,” said Gary Yohe, a professor of economics and environmental studies at Wesleyan University, who served on a National Academy of Sciences panel that reviewed the report. “We have wasted 15 years of response time. If we waste another 5 years of response time, the story gets worse. The longer you wait, the faster you have to respond, and the more expensive it will be.”

That urgency is at odds with the stance of the Trump administration, which has rolled back several Obama-era environmental regulations and incentivized the production of fossil fuels. Trump also has said he plans to withdraw the nation from the Paris climate accord, and questioned the science of climate change just last month, telling CBS’s “60 Minutes” that “I don’t know that it’s man-made” and that the warming trend “could very well go back.”

Furthermore, as the northeast faced a cold spell this week, Trump tweeted, “Whatever happened to Global Warming?” This shows a misunderstanding that climate scientists have repeatedly tried to correct — a confusion between daily weather fluctuations and long-term climate trends.

The FBI’s summary of its investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton contradicted some of her past statements about her use of a private email system for government business:

The Clinton campaign previously had indicated that her personal emails were deleted before Clinton received a congressional subpoena on March 4, 2015. But the FBI said her emails were deleted “between March 25-31, 2015” — three weeks after the subpoena. The campaign now says it only learned when the emails were deleted from the FBI report.
Clinton repeatedly had said “everybody in the government with whom I emailed knew that I was using a personal email.” But the FBI said “e-mails from Clinton … did not display her e-mail address,” and only 13 people directly emailed her.
Deleted Emails
The FBI on Sept. 2 — the Friday before Labor Day — released an 11-page summary of its interview of Clinton and a 47-page “factual summary” of its investigation of her email use when she served as secretary of state from January 2009 to February 2013.

The FBI probe focused on whether Clinton or her staff violated federal laws governing the handling of classified information, and whether foreign powers or hostile actors hacked into her private server, which was located at her home in New York.

FBI Director James Comey on July 5 announced that although Clinton and her staff were “extremely careless” in handling classified information, the FBI did not find evidence that their actions were intentional. He declined to pursue criminal charges.

One of the mysteries that the FBI has now cleared up is when Clinton’s emails that were deemed personal were deleted and how it was done.

Clinton’s office disclosed on March 10, 2015, that she gave the State Department 30,490 work-related emails on Dec. 5, 2014, and “chose not to keep” 31,830 emails she deemed “personal.”

“We went through a thorough process to identify all of my work-related emails and deliver them to the State Department,” Clinton said at a press conference that day. “At the end, I chose not to keep my private personal emails.”

It was widely reported at the time that Clinton deleted her personal, private emails. The New York Times, which broke the story of her unusual email arrangement on March 2, 2015, wrote this lead on its press conference story.

New York Times, March 10, 2015: Hillary Rodham Clinton revealed on Tuesday that she had deleted about half her emails from her years as secretary of state, saying she had turned over to the Obama administration all correspondence about government business but had erased records of communications about private matters, like yoga routines, her daughter’s wedding and her mother’s funeral.

But the campaign did not disclose exactly when the personal emails were deleted — which became an issue after Clinton had received a subpoena on March 4, 2015, from the House Select Committee on Benghazi. The committee was seeking emails related to its investigation into the Sept. 11, 2012, deadly attack on the U.S. facilities in Libya.

Clinton and her campaign pushed back at suggestions that the personal emails were deleted while she was under subpoena. In a July 7, 2015, interview, CNN’s Brianna Keilar asked Clinton “how you decided to delete 33,000 emails and how that deletion was executed.” Clinton did not answer the question, instead saying that “previous secretaries of state have said they did the same thing.” (That was not true, as we wrote at the time.)

Keilar questioned whether other secretaries of state “used a personal server and while facing a subpoena, deleted emails from them?” Clinton said that Keilar was making false assumptions, saying, “I’ve never had a subpoena.” Rep. Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the Benghazi committee, immediately accused Clinton of lying after the interview, because, of course, Clinton indeed did receive a subpoena.

The researchers found that the average temperature in the US rose 1.2 degrees Fahrenheit from 1951-2010, and an additional 2 degrees more is inevitable by 2050. If we continue business-as-usual (and don't change our energy or agriculture systems to emit less heat-trapping greenhouse gases), the average temperature could go up by as much as 11 degrees by the end of this century.

Sea levels on US coasts have already risen about 8 inches, but we could see as much as 6 feet in some areas by 2100. About $1 trillion of wealth in coastal real estate could be threatened.

Deaths from heat-related causes are projected to increase, as are the frequency and severity of allergic illnesses like asthma. Changing temperatures will also expand the geographic range of disease-carrying insects like ticks and mosquitoes, leaving more people at risk of getting Lyme disease, Zika, West Nile, and dengue.

All of these changes, and the many others projected — including more severe storms, changes in growing seasons, and impacts on infrastructure — could majorly hurt the economy.

The major scientific report issued by 13 federal agencies on Friday presents the starkest warnings to date of the consequences of climate change for the United States, predicting that if significant steps are not taken to rein in global warming, the damage will knock as much as 10 percent off the size of the American economy by century’s end.

The report, which was mandated by Congress and made public by the White House, is notable not only for the precision of its calculations and bluntness of its conclusions, but also because its findings are directly at odds with President Trump’s agenda of environmental deregulation, which he asserts will spur economic growth

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/23/climate/us-climate-report.html?action=click&module=To

The President is so ignorant about this and almost everything else the President should understand. This matters because it will effect the lives of millions and greatly displace millions. The harbors will be worthless. Cities will need to be abandoned. Yet you believe that these scientists are attempting to impose a socialist regime by lying about the climate.

i don't think these climate scientists are attempting to impose a socialist regime on us because i don't think they're that ambitious. the lazy fucks have a good gig going, siphoning government $$$$$ to perpetuate their little con. i suppose that's the price we need to pay to keep them from fucking up something genuinely important. michael mann lives to play another day with his hockey sticks, and bill mckibben gets to sit up there on his perch in vermont cranking out another warmyl cooling tome which guys like you will line up to purchase in a fit of virtue signalling.

At worse they were ingenious.

2. “We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world as a suitable place of human habitation,” wrote Washington University biologist Barry Commoner in the Earth Day issue of the scholarly journal Environment.

3. The day after the first Earth Day, the New York Times editorial page warned, “Man must stop pollution and conserve his resources, not merely to enhance existence but to save the race from intolerable deterioration and possible extinction.”

4. “Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make,” Paul Ehrlich confidently declared in the April 1970 Mademoiselle. “The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.”

Actually, even California says Trump is right about the wildfires

President Trump’s critics are belittling him for not buying the lefty narrative that global warming is to blame for the California wildfires. Instead, Trump points to decades of mistakes by government agencies that caused the woodlands to become overly dense and blanketed with highly flammable dead wood and underbrush.

He’s exactly right.

Just ask California officials. Two months ago, the state legislature enacted a measure that would expedite the removal of dead trees and use “prescribed burns” to thin forests. In other words: the very same reforms that Trump is now being mocked for proposing. The September law followed a Gov. Jerry Brown executive order earlier this year that also called for “controlled fires” to improve forest health.

This scientific approach isn’t easily conveyed in Trump’s preferred mode of communication, the 280-character tweet. But University of California forest expert Yana Valachovic conceded in a Washington Post interview that Trump’s “general sentiment is correct — that we need to manage fuels.” That is, to get rid of dangerous buildups of dead and dying trees.

For a century, forest mismanagement has resulted in huge blazes. And while global warming is the favorite culprit among the PC crowd, history shows that California suffered far bigger fires decades ago.

Interesting read for those assigning blame to Jerry and others...

https://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-trump-fires-20181120-story.html

Trump and Zinke unwittingly were demonstrating the difference between ideas and ideologies. Ideas arise from observations from the real world. They require the application of critical intelligence. Ideologies, by contrast, are worldviews that adherents try to impose on reality. They often require a dulling of the intellect and a blindness to what is in front of one’s eyes.
Trump and Zinke have allowed a pro-business, anti-environmental ideology to blind them to the true causes of California’s wildfires. They sound like people who were given one fact to chew on as children and found it so simple and plausible that it drove every other notion out of their heads and has remained a bulwark against thought ever since.
So let’s take a look at the facts.
The core argument of Trump and Zinke is that California’s forests are overgrown because those radical environmentalists have blocked forest-clearing operations such as logging. The result is a buildup of fuel that turns the forests into tinderboxes.
As my colleague Bettina Boxall reported last week, overgrown forests may exist in some parts of the state, but that hasn’t played a role in the Camp or Woolsey fires, which have brought devastation and loss of life in Northern and Southern California in recent days. The fires have mostly swept across chaparral and grass, not forests. Indeed, “the wind-whipped Camp fire tore across areas that burned in 2008 lightning fires and were also later logged,” Boxall reported. “It is not fueled by heavy timber.”

The Woolsey fire, which has burned suburban areas from Oak Park to Malibu, was not near any forests, as my colleagues Alejandra Reyes-Velarde and Joseph Serna observe.

In any case, California forest management policies aren’t as important in the state as federal policy. That’s because the largest owner of forestland in California is the federal government, with 57%. State and local agencies own 3%. The rest is in the hands of Native American tribes, corporations or families (most of whom own fewer than 50 acres).
Thanx for playing goat fucker.....LOL

Ann Coulter suggests she should have voted for Hillary: ‘Might have gotten a wall’

Ann Coulter has suggested that she and others should have perhaps voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election given the former Secretary of State’s recent comments supporting stricter migration policies.

Coulter retweeted an Axios post that said: “Hillary Clinton told the Guardian that Europe ‘needs to get a handle on migration’ and that leaders must send a message that ‘we are not going to be able to continue to provide refuge and support.’”

The conservative pundit then added the comment, “Maybe we should have voted for her. Might have gotten a wall.”

Though Coulter initially welcomed the Trump administration with great enthusiasm, she has since become a vocal critic, frequently blasting President Trump for not taking the hard line on immigration that he promised.

She said in a speech at Columbia University: “I KNEW HE WAS A SHALLOW, LAZY IGNORMUS and I didn’t care.* It kind of breaks my heart. He’s not giving us what he promised at every single campaign stop.”

More recently, she said of the president and, in large part, his promise to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, “Wow, I’ve never seen such a BAD DEALMAKER.”

This is why rrb and the President support the Senate candidate in Mississippi.

Cindy Hyde-Smith, the Republican Mississipi senator who made comments condoning “public hangings,” attended a “segregated” school when she was younger, the Jackson Free Press reported Friday after unearthing a 1975 yearbook photo.

The school, Lawrence County Academy, was set up for white parents to avoid sending their children to school with black children, according to the Free Press. Many such schools, dubbed “segregation academies,” were created in the South following desegregation as inexpensive, private educational options.

Hyde-Smith is identified in a caption beneath the yearbook photograph, which shows a row of cheerleaders smiling as they lie on the ground, propped up on their elbows, as a girl dressed in what seems to be Civil War–era regalia stands in the center holding an apparent Confederate flag.

Lawrence County Academy was established in 1970, one year after the U.S. Supreme Court ordered Mississippi to desegregate its schools. For 15 years after desegregation became law of the land, Mississippi dragged its feet on integrating black and white students.

Not the Republicans;

As Predicted, GOP Tax Cuts Prompt Record Tax Revenues

Remember when Democrats mocked last year’s tax-cut legislation? And Nancy Pelosi called the tax breaks for Americans “crumbs”?

But President Trump and congressional Republicans said they would ignite a booming economy and actually increase federal tax collections from greater economic activity including more consumer spending, business investments, higher wages and even employee bonuses.

Well, guess what? Just 47 weeks after Trump put his flamboyant signature on the bill, it’s all happening.

Unemployment is at an historic low. Employment is at an all-time high. Wagers are growing after years of stagnation.

And now from all that increased economic activity, the federal government has just reported historic record tax revenues in October, the first month of the new fiscal year, of $252,692,000,000.

That’s more than $11.4 billion above revenue for October of last year, which was the previous record tax revenue for an October.

And it did this by collecting more than $3 billion less in personal income taxes, thanks to the tax cuts.

The new revenues were the result of increased business taxes because of increased business. Here’s how much different it was:

Corporation income tax receipts to the U.S. Treasury this year in October were a whopping $8,000,000,000. This compares to the previous October’s $3.8 billion.
