Mueller was given "free reign".

Part of the regulations of Special Counsel was that Robert Mueller had to write a report about anything he might have "wanted" to investigate, but was not allowed to (Rosenstein or Barr vetoed him).
But as reported, there was nothing done to hamper Mueller. This is important because it undercuts anyone suggesting that Trump had and undue influence over these types of decisions.

There are some stories that say, that the President was going to plead the fifth amendment, if he was questioned under oath, Muller decided to not indict the President.

He was going to let the house of Representatives to pursue possible impeachment, rather than go through a legal process that would take another six months.

I spent about 5 minutes watching Laura Ingram on Fox. This spelling might not be right but who I meant.

It was like hearing your diatribes about the deep state conspiracy theories. Everyone who has negative thoughts about the President, we self deceptive and filled with anger about the President and the fact that he actually was elected President.

To me, it's not just politics, it is the fact that he has been discrediting the institutions of the enforcement of the law. It is completely designed to protect him, from his own actions. And to keep the base happy, including you.

The institutions have defended us. He wants them to defend him. That's a corrosion problem, because they have no credibility in your mind.

Democrats will never accept the results of the Mueller investigation just like they never accepted the results of the 2016 presidential election.

I asked Carter Page if he was ever worried about an indictment:

"Not even slightly. That's why I laughed at this stuff along."

So the FBI told a FISA court that @carterwpage was an agent of a foreign power spying on America and nearly three years later neither the DOJ nor Mueller's office have charged him with anything.

Anyone still think everything was kosher over at the Obama/Lynch/Comey DOJ?

After today, there can be no question that there are many journalists- and entire news organizations- that should never be taken seriously as nonpartisan sources of information ever again

No collusion. Deal with it.

Now all eyes turn to only report that matters: DOJ IG Horowitz's report (with possible criminal referrals) on top FBI & DOJ officials' abuse of most invasive weapon in their arsenal --sweeping FISA electronic surveillance of US citizen -- to spy on Trump campaign/transition/admin

Defeat @ CNN.

panel on CNN’s Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer reacted live on air to news that the Mueller report has concluded and resulted in no new indictments by admitting that President Trump has won a “huge victory.”

“He’s been vindicated by them,” Evan Pérez said of President Trump and the Mueller report."

Looks like Nov 8th, 2016 again.

Good!!!

Benjamin Wittes:
“The president should wait before popping the champagne corks over this and tweeting in triumph. Yes, in the best-case scenario for the president, Mueller is not proceeding further because he lacks the evidence to do so. But even this possibility contains multitudes: everything from what the president calls ‘NO COLLUSION!’ to evidence that falls just short of adequate to prove criminal conduct to a reasonable jury beyond a reasonable doubt—evidence that could still prove devastating if the conduct at issue becomes public.

“There are other possibilities as well. It’s possible, for example, that Mueller is not proceeding against certain defendants other than the president because he has referred them to other prosecutorial offices; some of these referrals are already public, and it’s reasonable to expect there may be other referrals too.

"In this iteration, what is ending here is not the investigation, merely the portion of the investigation Mueller chose to retain for himself.

"It’s possible also that Mueller is finished because he has determined that while the evidence would support a prosecution of the president, he is bound by the Justice Department’s long-standing position that the president is not amenable to criminal process.”

New York Times: “Even though Mr. Mueller’s report is complete, some aspects of his inquiry remain active and may be overseen by the same prosecutors once they are reassigned to their old jobs within the Justice Department.”

sooooo...

the FBI attempts a coup (which thankfully failed) and it's trump who has discredited the bureau rather than the bureau discrediting itself (something it has done repeatedly over the course of its history, btw).

this is exactly why i dismiss your judgement on absolutely everything, alky.

no rational person can possibly draw the conclusions that you do.

What was revealed was the extent of rottenness in the system. If Trump had been a godlike Alexander it would have been one thing. But he's not. That they are actually less competent than a casino manager and reality show host is too much for them to take.

Yet it is nevertheless true. The real crisis of American governance isn't that Trump is some evil genius. It is what a bunch of mediocrities the elite have turned out to be. Better to have found out now than in the middle of some existential conflict with a great power.

Democrats Demand Immediate Release Of Mueller Report
Democratic leaders and presidential candidates demanded the release of the special counsel’s report before Trump could interfere.

Democrats want access to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election before President Donald Trump has a chance to interfere.

In a joint letter from the chairs of six committees in the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrats wrote they expect Attorney General William Barr to make Mueller’s report public immediately.

“After nearly two years of investigation — accompanied by two years of unprecedented attacks on the integrity of the investigation by President Trump — the public and Congress are entitled to know what the Special Counsel has found,” the letter urged.

Its signatories include House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), oversight committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), intelligence committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.)

Earlier, Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) released a statement immediately after the Mueller report was revealed to be complete, demanding that Barr quickly put together a redacted, releasable version for Congress to access.

Warner said in a statement:
"Congress and the American people deserve to judge the facts for themselves. The Special Counsel’s report must be provided to Congress immediately, and the Attorney General should swiftly prepare a declassified version of the report for the public. Nothing short of that will suffice.

"It is also critical that all documents related to the Special Counsel’s investigation be preserved and made available to the appropriate Congressional committees. Any attempt by the Trump Administration to cover up the results of this investigation into Russia’s attack on our democracy would be unacceptable."

He joined a number of other Democrats, including several 2020 presidential candidates, who either had statements prepared or tweeted about a prompt release.

“The American people deserve to know the full truth about Russia’s interference in our democracy,” tweeted former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said that the report should be released “without delay,” and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) released a joint statement in agreement.

They, like Warner, didn’t want Trump to throw a wrench in Congress’ spokes by getting early access to the documents.

“Attorney General Barr must not give President Trump, his lawyers or his staff any ‘sneak preview’ of Special Counsel Mueller’s findings or evidence, and the White House must not be allowed to interfere in decisions about what parts of those findings or evidence are made public,” the joint statement said.

Pelosi and Schumer: "It is imperative for Mr. Barr to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to Congress"

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, echoed Trump’s own earlier call to release the report.

Bernie Sanders

@BernieSanders
As Donald Trump said, “Let it come out." I call on the Trump administration to make Special Counsel Mueller's full report public as soon as possible. No one, including the president, is above the law.

It’s a big deal if Mueller does or doesn’t find evidence of collusion between Trump world and Russia during the 2016 election. It’s gaslighting to say this was never an issue. It was.
