Is Adam Schiff mentally ill?

Paranoid schizophrenia

Adam Schiff continues to believe he has evidence of a deep seeded conspiracy between Trump and the Russians who attacked our election in 2016. That being said, Adam Schiff continues to ignore requests to explain what this evidence actually is.

I'll bet the proof is in that closet over there!

When pressed too terribly hard, he will generally fall back on the tried and untrue idea that "what is in plain sight" is enough proof of conspiracy to declare a conspiracy. Of course, the fact that "what is in plain sight" was not deemed a conspiracy by the FBI, the Senate Intelligence Committee, the House Intelligence Committee, or the Special Counsel seems of little concern to Adam Schiff. Apparently Adam Schiff is smarter than the rest of them (delusions of grandeur).

I saw Schiff refer to the "Trump tower meeting" as proof positive that the Trump campaign colluded with "the Russians" as if he actually believes that because "some Russians" ran afoul the law, that "all Russians" must be part of the scheme. But if you asked Adam Schiff what evidence he has that the Russian attorney/lobbyist Natalia Veselnitskaya was tied to either the Russian intelligence agency responsible for Guccifer 2.0 computer hacking attacks or the Russian trolling farm, he will act all confused and his eyes will bug out.

The reality is that Adam Schiff is the epitome of those mentally ill individuals who cannot let go of the Trump/Russia collusion delusion. He is the bona fide leader of the tin foil hat brigade and continues to perform the role with just the correct amount of seriousness mixed in with the inherent ridiculousness of his continued failed argument. With those actions, he remains the hero of many!

schitt may be mentally ill, but he knows his audience as he excels at preaching to the stage IV TDS "orange man bad" choir.

and he's also keenly aware of one other circumstance that i would argue also helps to explain his behavior -

as fucked up as he and his arguments appear to be, he's certain that there will never be any consequences he'll be required to pay for all his conspiratorial bullshit.

and he's right.

his constituents will continue to reelect him for as long as he wishes to keep his house seat. he's a symptom of how fucked up the folks in his district really are.

if i didn't know better i'd swear he represents the alky's district.

The conclusion of the Trump/Russia objection to justice is that there was no obstruction of justice.

And continually using word objection for the word obstruction is a sign of mental illness.

The great Trump/Russia conspiracy issue has now devolved into squabbling over:
1. A tiny redacted sliver of the Mueller report. 2. The form of AG Barr’s House testimony. 3. The difference between “spying” and “surveillance.” The silly season is here.

Survivors of a Colorado school shooting walked out of a vigil for their slain classmate Wednesday night in protest of politicians and other groups using it as a platform for gun control, a local report said.

The students from STEM High School, where two gunmen killed a student and wounded eight others Tuesday, began yelling from the stands that they “wanted to be heard” after two politicians and pro-gun control advocates addressed the crowd, according to the local NBC affiliate, KUSA.

A coward of a deputy sheriff hid behind a door while 17 students died at Parkland High School.

And gun confiscater loudmouth David Hogg hid in a closet while his classmates were dying round him.

C.H. Truth said...

The Logan act, huh?

Well the only way John Kerry would be violating the Logan Act is if he was talking to Iran, or China, or any other foreign government about foreign policy. Obviously, our private citizens cannot attempt to negotiate or influence decision making of foreign governments unless it is some sort of official government capacity.

As long as he is not (as a private American citizen) undermining the current Government and their foreign policy by pretending to actually have any sort of American clout then he cannot be charged with the Logan Act.

John Kerry as a patriotic American would never violate either the longstanding norms or the actual law by pretending to be some sort of diplomat who represents American interests.

Would he?

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz — arguably Trump's most devoted lapdog in Congress — was part of the opening act for the MAGA rally in Florida Wednesday night, where Gaetz declared that those who investigate Trump should be locked up.

"If anybody tries to deprive us of this country we have earned," Gaetz shouted to the crowd, "if they try to undermine our president with lawless investigations, meaningless subpoenas, absurd contempt citations — we're going to turn the tables on them, we're going to investigate the investigators, and you're right! If it takes it, we will lock them up!"

CNN REPORTED
"John Kerry engaging in shadow diplomacy to salvage Iran deal: The Boston Globe

By Veronica Stracqualursi, CNN

Updated 10:22 AM EDT, Mon May 07, 2018

Trump appears to be partially referring to a reported meeting between Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif at the beginning of 2018, part of what the Boston Globe called “an aggressive yet stealthy” mission to put pressure on the Trump administration to keep the Iran nuclear deal.

Such a push was unsuccessful as Trump would announce the U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) just a few months later.

But Trump has repeatedly accused Kerry of being in violation of the Logan Act, which prohibits private citizens from negotiating on behalf of the U.S. government without authorization. No one has ever been successfully prosecuted under the law, however.

In September, Kerry acknowledged meeting with Zarif “three or four times” since leaving office, admitting to discussing the scrapped nuclear deal, among other issues.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-kerry-prosecuted-iran

as a private citizen kerry has no fucking business talking to the ragheads about the nuke deal. none.

so once again, trump's not wrong. if one wants to get technical there is certainly a logan act discussion to be had regarding kerry's iran activities.

logan act, eh?

At the time, top Justice officials suspected Flynn of violating the Logan Act, the 218-year-old law under which no one has ever been prosecuted, that prohibits private citizens from acting on behalf of the United States in disputes with foreign governments. Starting in the summer of 2016 and intensifying in the transition period, the Logan Act, while mostly unknown to the general public, became a hot topic of conversation among some Democrats. A number of lawmakers, former officials, and commentators called on the Obama administration to investigate the Trump team for a possible Logan Act violations — and to do it while Democrats still controlled the executive branch.

At the same time, inside the Obama Justice Department, it appears the Logan Act became a paramount concern among some key officials in the critical weeks of December 2016 and January 2017. Former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates has told Congress that the Logan Act was the first reason she intervened in the Flynn case — the reason FBI agents were sent to the White House to interview Flynn in the Trump administration's early days. It was that interview, held on Jan. 24, 2017, that ultimately led to Flynn's guilty plea.

In short, there's no doubt the Logan Act, a law dismissed as a joke or an archaic irrelevancy or simply unconstitutional by many legal experts, played a central role in the Obama administration's aggressive and enormously consequential investigation of its successor.

Democrats began accusing Trump of Logan Act violations in the summer of 2016, immediately after the Republican convention, when Trump sarcastically invited Russia to produce the 30,000-plus emails that Hillary Clinton deleted rather than turn over to investigators. "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," Trump said during a July 27 news conference. "I think that you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press — let's see if that happens, that'll be nice."

The next day, Tom Vilsack, Obama's secretary of agriculture and on Hillary Clinton's vice presidential short list, accused Trump of violating the Logan Act. "That's a no-no, you can't do that," Vilsack said. "That's not legal."
