This is one of the many interesting (and potentially problematic) questions that Mueller will likely be asked if he goes up before Congress. Given pretty much the entire basis of the investigation, the conclusions, and most of the indictments are predicated on the assumption that Russia was responsible for the hacking of the DNC and Clinton Campaign email servers, it matters whether or not the Government (not a third Party) can make that case.Roger Stone’s attorneys are challenging basis for Mueller’s assertion that GRU stole DNC emails. They claim Mueller relies on Crowdstrike. Do they know that for a fact? One thing Bill Binney argues is that Mueller’s info didn’t come from NSA: if it had, it would’ve been redacted. pic.twitter.com/Z6bep3IuiJ— Aaron Maté (@aaronjmate) May 11, 2019
What if it actually "IS" the case that Mueller really has no actual proof of this assumption? What if, the FBI and Special Counsel really were relying on the word of a third party security firm hired by the same people who hired Christopher Steele to write the dossier.
Problematic could be an understatement at that time.
Now what we do know is that the DNC and Hillary campaigns originally refused to turn over their servers to the FBI. We do know that Crowdstrike did the evaluation on where the hack came from. We do know that Crowdstrike (not anyone within the U.S. intelligence agency) is who told us originally that it was the Russians.
What we don't know is to what degree U.S. intelligence was able to garner access to the servers and otherwise able to confirm these conclusions separate from the Crowdstrike analysis. Certainly if the FBI and Special Counsel is actually relying solely on the Crowdstrike analysis, or otherwise simply relying on data that was provided to them by Crowdstrike, we have a big problem with the overall underlying assumptions. Crowdstrike was not a neutral Party and was being paid by politicians who had a political reason to blame the Russians.
Not sure how that helps Stone considering he is accused of lying rather than being involved in the hacks. But his attorneys believe that by undercutting the main basis of the investigation that it undermines everything. Moreover the Judge in this case is apparently considering this latest filing by the Stone team as relevant.
But the bigger issue is this. Robert Muller and Special Counsel spend 22 months and $30 million dollars. If none of that money was spent investigating the hacks, then that is a big political problem. Ultimately that was his job. If he never followed up on Crowdstrike and spent $30 million on making Trump and his administration look bad, well... that should be a problem for everyone (although I strongly suspect partisans would disagree).

I have no idea of the terms of those granted immunity from prosecution relating to Hillary and her email but sure would like to have them testify again separately under oath to the details from a real prosecutor, with the overhang that they would lose their immunity if they weren't truthful.
This is especially true of the IT guys who were responsible for backups, firewalls/security and decommissioning. Should be fascinating and illuminating. Especially with all that's been uncovered since they were questioned.
Unbelievable what Hillary and her gang were allowed to get away with even after they were subpoenaed to produce documents as well as her server. And there is this which I think shows what Hillary's INTENT really was:
Platte River Networks (PRN) – the company that used BleachBit on Hillary Clinton’s server while it was under a congressional subpoena – referred to its own actions as “the Hillary cover up operation” in internal emails. That’s according to the latest batch of FBI case notes and emails uncovered by Judicial Watch in its ongoing quest to uncover the truth about what really happened with Hillary’s treason server.
Isn’t it remarkable how the private sector continues to uncover bread crumbs that former FBI Director James Comey’s crack team of investigators somehow missed?

not at all, because nothing was "missed." things were ignored or otherwise dismissed because...
...the key to everything was a clinton presidential victory. victory was assumed as guaranteed, rendering all of these little details as not being necessary to focus on.
and this is why the left is shtiing a brick right now.
it will be just as important to prevent trump's reelection as it was to beat him the first time. likely more so because if trump is defeated, all the traitors like comey, brennan, clapper, yates et. al. get away scot free. if trump wins reelection they've all got a big-assed problem.
If Trump wins like comey, brennan, clapper, yates et. al. get beheaded in the Rose Garden.
Seig Heil Trump President for life.

Which proves trump has his head stuck up your ass since he does not believe the russians did anything....Me thinks that is BS, just like you!!!!
