Over the years of political gaslighting we are laying witness to two of the most phenomenal and outlandish examples in history.
The first was the obvious tin-foil-hat conspiracy theory that Russian operatives and the Trump campaign conspired behind the scenes to "steal" an election from Hillary Clinton. Not only was the claim so outlandish that it wouldn't have been believable in a political spy novel, but there was literally never any actual reason to believe it.
But there was a non-stop drum beat from the crazy gaslighters, who wanted us to believe that a fledgling campaign was able to pull of the election heist of the century. They demanded that Trump fooled every intelligence agency, every law enforcement agency, and every state and local government entity, all without leaving a single trace of evidence of criminal action. They forced us to listen to these ridiculous claims non-stop till they pretty much became strange fact to many Americans (at least of the easily fooled variety).
But just when you think it couldn't get any worse, it almost does. Or at least the lying left is using whatever little political capital that they have left to make us believe something almost as stupid and illogical as the Russian collusion delusion. So what ridiculousness are they pushing now?
The idea that Mueller is godlike and what he says is law.
The reality is that Mueller turned out to be a putz. He was always a reasonably respected career official who yet carried around baggage as a guy who would bend the rules when it suited him. The idea that he was a "straight shooter" who would do everything by the book was literally based on nothing factual. It was pure gaslighting.
This should have became obvious when he hired noted rule breaker Andrew Weissman to be his lead prosecutor. Weissman, of course, was most famous for screwing up the Enron prosecution, allowing 30 otherwise guilty people to go free after the USSC ruled that the constitutional rights of the accused were violated during the proceedings. That meant that the first and second in charge of special counsel were two of the most notorious rule breakers, both having had convictions overturned in court because of prosecutorial misconduct.
But moving beyond the fact that the media gaslighted people into believing that these people were beyond reproach, we have the obvious actions that show otherwise.
Fact: The report written by Mueller did not follow DOJ guidelines, and it possibly violated the constitutional rights of those he mentions in the report. His refusal to "make a call" on obstruction didn't follow the original duties demanded of him when he agreed to take the appointment. The idea that Mueller felt it was his right to turn our constitutional standards on their head to declare that the President was not "exonerated" is certainly an action of someone clearly obsessed with anything but rules, regulations, and protocol.
This was an ends justifies the means report. By all legitimate, legal, logical, and ethical standards, the report is written without any reflection on what he was asked to do, but rather driven entirely of what he wanted to accomplish. Even the way that the report was delivered was dishonest and outside of protocol. He specifically and intentionally turned in the report without redacting the areas that he was tasked by superior officers to redact. The "letter" that was written (so it could be leaked to the media) was a calculated response to the report delay. Special Counsel quite literally was asking their personal opinion summaries to be released, without the underlying information.
When the media got wind, they whined as if they somehow believed that William Barr and the entire DOJ worked for Robert Mueller, as opposed to the reality that Robert Mueller was no more than a subordinate employee of the DOJ who answered directly to bosses Rosenstein and Barr. Meanwhile, through selective leaks to the media, members of Special Counsel whined like grade schoolers when the Attorney General condensed their findings into simple factual conclusions, because the facts didn't allow them to spin.
Make no mistake. Every "fact" in this report exonerates the President from the claims that he and his campaign conspired with the Russian law breakers who meddled in the election. On the subject of obstruction, Mueller writes 200 pages of "I cannot make up my mind, even though that was my fucking job". He effectively argues with the former and current Head of the Office of Legal Counsel over what the OLC had to say about investigating and indicting a President, all in the name of justifying his dishonest ends justify the means report.
Meanwhile, the media pretends that Mueller (being granted infallible popelike status) must be right about the OLC opinion, which makes anyone (including the people who run the OLC) wrong to disagree.
At the end of the day, Robert Mueller's word is no better than his longstanding reputation of being a rule breaker. His opinion on the rules of a law as a former FBI investigator and director fails to pass the sniff test when it doesn't align with career officials at the Dept of Justice.
Yet, to read your liberal newspapers, and to watch your liberal television shows, they act as if this dishonest rogue report is similar to the biblical story of Moses getting the 10 commandments straight from God. The media continues to demand that William Barr and others can actually be proven "factually wrong" because their opinion differed from what was "in the Mueller report". As if long standing DOJ standards, constitutional reasoning, and the entire rule of law all must bend to what is written in Mueller's report (or shall we say the Mueller Bible).
Bottom line; Robert Mueller's opinion is just like an asshole.
His report is simply what came from that opinion.

Your intelligence is twisting reality into a monumental delusional opinion.
He's a decorated American hero, and you have lost any perspective because you need to defend the President.

'Scorched Earth': Mueller's Targets Speak Out
Now that Mueller has ended his probe finding no election collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, 10 witnesses and targets of his sprawling, $35 million investigation agreed to speak with RealClearInvestigations because they are no longer in legal jeopardy. They include several people who became household names during the two-year probe – including George Papadopoulos, Carter Page and Roger Stone – as well as lesser-known figures whose lives were also upended and finances imperiled when they came into Mueller’s crosshairs. Only three of the 10, Papadopoulos, Stone and a political consultant named Sam Patten, were charged with a crime. Patten received three years probation but no jail time for failing to register as a foreign agent; Papadopoulos served 12 days for lying to federal agents; and Stone awaits trial on false statements, witness-tampering and obstruction charges.
heir firsthand accounts pull back the curtain on the secret inner workings of the Mueller probe, revealing how the special counsel's nearly two dozen prosecutors and 40 FBI agents used harshly aggressive tactics to pressure individuals to either cop to crimes or implicate others in felonies involving collusion.
Although they interacted with Mueller’s team at different times and in different places, the witnesses and targets often echoed each other. Almost all decried what they called Mueller’s “scorched earth” methods that affected their physical, mental and financial health. Most said they were forced to retain high-priced Washington lawyers to protect them from falling into "perjury traps" for alleged lying, which became the special counsel’s charge of last resort. In the end, Mueller convicted four Trump associates for this so-called process crime, and investigated an additional five individuals for allegedly making false statements.
Some subjects of investigation said Mueller’s agents and prosecutors tried to pressure them into admitting things to give the appearance of collusion. They demanded to know if they had spoken to anyone with a “Russian accent.” They threatened to jail them "for life" and to drag their wives or girlfriends into the investigation.

the gestapo would be proud
Well according to Roger, threatening to prosecute family members is what make Mueller an American Hero!
Roger is a Nazi.
According to CNN. Alzheimer'struth.com
Military.com provided some more information about Mueller’s service:
What was even stranger — he didn’t curse, at least in front of them — and that was decidedly uncommon for a Marine. They also said that he was “solid,” and knew how to listen. And they also liked that he was a “Mustang” — he had enlisted out of Princeton and gone through Parris Island boot camp just like them, and then through Officer Candidate School.
Mueller would earn the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry in his time in Vietnam. The citation for his Bronze Star said that during an attack on his rifle platoon, “2nd Lt. Mueller fearlessly moved from one position to another, directing the accurate counterfire of his men and shouting words of encouragement to them.”
During the firefight on Dec. 11, 1968, Mueller “personally led a fire team across the fire-swept terrain to recover a mortally wounded Marine who had fallen in a position forward of the friendly lines,” the citation said.

Robert Mueller "A Magnificent Bastard"
Robert Mueller to many now just "A BASTARD"
And how does Mueller's war experience make him either a better or worse Special Counsel?
Good thread showing specific example of dishonesty in the Mueller report
Starts with:
1/ Here's another egregious deception by Mueller in order to make Trump look bad. Mueller stated that "the President had discussed 'knocking out Mueller'... in a May 23, 2017 telephone call with McGahn". Sounds very sinister and Nixonian.

Mueller was not a draft dodging son of a bitch with bone spurs.
Denise Dodge Question.
What Trump knew. Barr’s most astonishing claim is that Trump was entitled to shut down the investigation because the president knew it was “bogus.” At an April 18 press conference, Barr argued that Trump’s obstructive acts weren’t corrupt because, “as he said from the beginning, there was in fact no collusion.” Two weeks later, Barr told the Senate: In fact, said Barr, “The president could terminate that proceeding, and it would not be a corrupt intent.”
This position—that a president targeted by an investigation can unilaterally terminate it—is flatly autocratic. For that alone, the attorney general should be impeached.
The Attorney General has been sworn in to protect and defend the Constitution! Not the fucking President and making him our dictator, who is above the law.

still peddling that slate piece, eh alky?
LOL.

if you are going to invoke the constitution, you should at least understand it and accept the fact that barr's decision was and is clearly constitutional.
saletan is, like you, is a fucking imbecile alky.
The Constitution is what defines and provides the executive powers of the President. Keep in mind, Bush 41 Pardoned Caspar Weinberger in the middle of the Iran Contra investigation. Even "deepthroat" got a Presidential Pardon, effectively ending anything associated with that investigation. Presidents are the supreme power (like it or not) of the executive branch, which gives them all sorts of authority (including the authority to order their A.G. or FBI director to end an investigation).
Liberals toss around the concept of the Constitution all the time, but only to imply that it includes things that are not in their, and that things that are in there are not.
The "Constitution" has nothing to do with much of what liberals want to believe. They've been gaslighted.

SAO PAULO—Speaking to a crowd in Brazil, former US president Barack Obama bemoaned the fact that it's way too easy for Americans to get their hands on the Constitution.
"Any American can just go on the internet and look at the Constitution, or head to their local library and check out a copy," Obama said. "Constitutions are available at any book store---you could even buy them at the gas station or 7-11 if you wanted to, no background check required. Unlike other, more progressive countries, Americans are steeped in a culture of rights, which is just terrible when you're trying to be a tyrant."
Obama told the Brazilians gathered that it was impossible for him to convey just how backward Americans are when it comes to knowledge of their rights.
"Picture a dystopia where the populace is well aware of their God-given rights---that's the kind of nightmare that we live in up in the United States," he continued. "But my fellow politicians and I have been doing our best to change the culture and enact some common-sense Constitution control."
