Kevin McCarthy fires back at Pelosi: Clinton campaign paid for Steele dossier https://t.co/O2kV7aOPje— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) June 13, 2019
Again, if garnering information from foreign sources about your opponent is against the law, then why was it okay for Hillary Clinton and the DNC to pay a foreign source to gather information from other foreign sources regarding a political opponent?
I think the President stating what he did was an attempt to continue to goad liberals and Democrats into the hypocritical argument that what is good for the goose (Hillary using foreign bought information) is not good for the Gander (Trump potentially listening to foreign sources).
I think it's time for a full fledged front court press on every Democrat to explain why their outrage begins and ends with Trump, but never seems to engage with what their own Party did (which was technically much worse).
Certainly nobody here has ever explained it. They just keep repeating the same dumb argument that it's opposition research if Democrats do it, but collusion if Trump does it.

Republicans are finally pushing back on collusion
And the liar in chief keeps saying he will accept help from anyone that will give to him.....McConnells statement yesterday saying the case is closed once again shows how far his head is up trumps fat old white ass....!!!!! Keep pushing as voters come to the realization that you Lil Scotty and the spineless R's in the senate want Russia helping trump.....very sad how low and yellow you are promoting putin over country.....assholes...
Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid an independent foreign source to gather information from other foreign sources regarding a political opponent.
The law states that information from a foreign government is illegal.
Donald Trump spoke clearly that he invited foriegn governments to interfere with the election to support his reelection campaign. And indicted that he would not report it to the FBI immediately, or ever.
The Chairman of the Federal Election Commission stated that accepting aid and comfort from foreign entities is illegal.
This is not a partisan issue. It is a matter of law. No one is above the law, including the President.
Even Fox News host Brian Kilmeade found Trump’s ethical formulation troubling.
“You don’t want a foreign government or foreign entity giving you information because they will want something back,” Kilmeade said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning. “If anybody knows that it is the president. There is no free lunch. If someone wants information they want influence. I think the president’s got to clarify that. … He opened himself wide up to attacks.”
The law states that information from a foreign government is illegal.
No the law does not state that.
It states that campaign contributions from foreign nationals are illegal. (doesn't matter whether it's a government, corporation, or individual)
How "information" is treated is rather nebulas. You may treat it as an "in kind" contribution but the problem is that you would have to assign a monetary value to it.
Shall we debate the legality of the many foreign governments donating to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary was Secretary of State or presidential candidate?
Voters across America are fed up with the one sided outrage. And it's about time McCarthy got off his ass and joined the fight.
I have to wonder what the reaction by C.H.Truth would say if the next Democratic President says well Donald Trump did it. Guess what, we’re going to do it to you guys, too?
#impeachment
Information with value does not necessarily have financial value. Political dirt has value.
Low IQ individuals don't understand what has value.
Does anyone think Reagan and Thatcher didn't share intel? Or Clinton and Tony Blair? Or FDR and Churchill?
This outrage is horse shit.
@JohnWHuber
So based on @CNN logic @DonaldJTrumpJr should have hired a foreign intel officer to dig up dirt on Clinton via Russians & laundered $m+ payments through the RNC and a Republican law firm
Oh & stove-piped the fake “intel” into the FBI investigating Clinton
Then it’s legit!
Just got to understand the "rules"
Does anyone think Reagan and Thatcher didn't share intel? Or Clinton and Tony Blair? Or FDR and Churchill?
This outrage is horse shit.
Totally true and as CHT pointed out "countries" don't approach individuals but people do. Reporting every contact would be ridiculous. So you listen and determine how to proceed.
Da 6 of below average low temps and cool days.
Must be 1970's global cooling thingy.
@paulsperry_
Wait. Kellyanne Conway's guilty of Hatch Act violations but not Andrew McCabe? McCabe used FBI equipment to discuss a political campaign, rode around in Gov McAuliffe's limo, took 100s of 1000s from Hillary-tied PACs (w/o disclosing) & campaigned on social media in campaign T-shirt
Happy US Flag Day.
Roger, James, Denney, this is not for you.
So if we all decided today (because it is required to defend Clinton and the Democrats) to make a "distinction" between foreign "individuals" and foreign people who would represent "Government".
The real question in all of this becomes who gets to decide which person (or persons) actually represent a "government" and which person (or persons) actually are just foreign people.
Because if a former British MI6 agent with inside ties to Russian intelligence (which is the reason he was hired) is just a foreign person, and you are allowed to use "his" research... even though he may be talking to high ranking Russian officials...
Then what is the line you have to cross before someone becomes an actual agent of a Government? Certainly a Lawyer is not an agent of the Russian Government. A Manafort Employee is not. A British professor could hardly be considered an agent of the Russian Government.
Seems like once again, the left wants it both ways. They want to defend Clinton and the DNC by claiming that their foreign source was just a "person" and that his contacts in Russia were not Agents...
But would prefer to make no such distinction with Trump. Everyone and anyone who even remotely sounds Russian is immediately considered an "agent" and therefor, it must be illegal.
Exchange of the Day
When George Stephanopoulos pointed out to President Trump in an ABC News interview that the president did not provide written answers to address special counsel Robert Mueller’s questions of possible obstruction of justice, Trump grew frustrated.
TRUMP: “Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I did answer questions. I answered them in writing.”
STEPHANOPOULOS: “Not on obstruction.”
TRUMP: “George, you’re being a little wise guy, OK — which is, you know, typical for you. Just so you understand. Very simple. It’s very simple. There was no crime. There was no collusion. The big thing’s collusion. Now, there’s no collusion. That means they set — it was a setup, in my opinion, and I think it’s going to come out.”
Happy birthday to our divine messenger,Donald J. Trump! The birth of Trump is the birth of human reality & salvation! ❤️ Let us embrace our God Emperor’s birth & drawn into the light of the light-personified Trump! ❤️ Please share your birthday wishes below, folks! ❤️

Is John Kerry back from Iran yet ?
Asking for a friend.
At the first democrat debate will everyone please state many pallets of cash they will immediately send to Iran?
They deserve free stuff too.
@JesseKellyDC
If Kellyanne Conway is going to politic from an official government position, she doesn’t need to be fired. She needs to transfer to the FBI.
she doesn’t need to be fired
Once again proving trump has ZERO respect for the law or constitution.....and you all keep slurping and swallowing...!!!
The real question in all of this becomes who gets to decide which person (or persons) actually represent a "government" and which person (or persons) actually are just foreign people.
BWAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Yep, its a question for idiots like you lil Scotty who will say and do anything to protect the law ignoring trump and company.... Fucking stupidest comment you have made to date and probably heard it from another source, you latest MO!!!!!
The real question in all of this becomes who gets to decide which person (or persons) actually represent a "government" and which person (or persons) actually are just foreign people.
well duh.
the DNC of course.
or any democrat.
or anyone in the media not owned by rupert murdoch.
like the alky has said repeatedly - there is no greater threat to our democratical liberalocracy than 'orange man bad' and the 'objection of justice' he perpetuates with every triggering tweet.
I think it's time for a full fledged front court press on every Democrat to explain why their outrage begins and ends with Trump, but never seems to engage with what their own Party did (which was technically much worse).
good luck with that.
the climate that has fostered this behavior goes back at least to my childhood and is probably older than i am.
i've said it before and i'll say it again -
richard nixon's biggest sin was being a republican. had nixon been a democrat, watergate and the suffix "gate" would have never entered our American lexicon.
Kelly Anne Conway is the presidents senior political advisor.
The office of special counsel has yet to explain how she is going to perform her job without being political.
Also, the OSC was required to give her an opportunity to respond. They did not.
More evidence that this was a political hit job.
