There has always been this concept in the liberal mindset that people should alway vote for whoever it is that offers them the most free stuff. Failure to vote for the person who promises you the most stuff is basically voting against your best interest.

As my wife and I have driven around the city of Seattle, watching the new "tent cities" crop up all over the place, it occurs to me that for the most part, the increasingly large homeless population is made up of people who have likely spent their entire lives voting for those politicians that promised them the most free stuff.
But now that they are homeless and needing help, the very politicians whom the homeless voted for couldn't care less. Homelessness is not a part of the national discussion. Heck, it's not really part of the local discussion (other than how the homeless affect the people around them who have homes).

Nope. There is no political capital to be had by helping the homeless. Democrats figure that they have already secured those voters for the most part (if they are even voters since they have no address). Rather, their eye is on the bigger prize, which is the millions of illegals who are working jobs, and living in real homes. Those people are potential new voters. Promise "them" all the free stuff. F the homeless.
This is why your liberal leadership of the states like California and Washington are more concerned with fighting off ICE and handing out freebies to illegals, than they are about helping their own. Meanwhile, the national Democratic Party has put forward pretty much zero plans to help the homeless. That being said, I hear Harris will promise you a free handout if you are black and want to buy a house. I heard $25 grand. Pretty good scratch for having a particular skin color. Bet a bunch of those non-black homeless tent city dwellers who paid taxes their whole lives would like some of that action.
But hey. If you are white, born here, heterosexual, and a lifelong taxpayer... well then welcome to tent city and enjoy your extended stay. Because those Democrats (whom you voted your whole life for) don't care about you.
Oh and guess what they never really did. As liberals, they were just interested in their own self interest (just as you were), which means that they just wanted your vote. Considering this is the well known liberal mindset, I guess you should have considered yourself warned.
