A new Public Policy Polling survey shows that Ohio is set to return to its traditional status as a battleground state in 2020.
After winning the state by 8 points in 2016, President Trump now trails a generic Democratic 47% to 48% and holds an underwater 47% to 51% favorable rating. Given that state’s swing from 2012 to 2016, it is especially notable that Trump trails a generic Democrat 37% to 51% with independent voters.

“American Media, Inc. and the National Enquirer shredded sensitive Donald Trump-related documents that had been held in a top-secret safe right before Trump was elected in 2016, according to fresh allegations made in a new book by journalist Ronan Farrow,” Politico reports.
“During the first week of November 2016, the book alleges that Dylan Howard, who was then editor in chief of the National Enquirer, ordered a staff member to ‘get everything out of the safe’ and that ‘we need to get a shredder down there.'”

“President Trump’s former Russia adviser testified under subpoena for roughly 10 hours on Monday as Democrats try to dig into how allies of the president TRIED TO CIRCUMVENT official policy on Ukraine as part of the impeachment inquiry,” The Hill reports.
“While lawmakers largely declined to comment on the specifics of Hill’s testimony, Democrats asserted that Hill CORROBORATED what they described as a CONCERTED EFFORT by Trump allies who were pushing for the Ukraininan government to investigate the Bidens to remove Yovanovitch from her post in May.”
