The comment comes as President Trump pushes an attack on leading 2020 candidate former Vice President Joe Biden centered on Biden's son sitting on a gas company's board in Ukraine.
CNN's "State of the Union" host asked Klobuchar on Sunday if she would allow her vice president's kid to sit on a foreign board.
"No, I wouldn't," she said. "And I can promise you right now by own daughter, who is only 24, does not sit on the board of a foreign company."
Now of course, Biden knew he could get away with it at the time, because nobody in the main stream media would ever question anything done by the Obama administration. Any media members who would criticize Obama were labeled "right wing" if not a "hate group". But now that Biden is running for President and the main stream media is no longer holding all the rhetorical power, I guess it's pretty much open season.
I've said it before and I will say it again. Biden was bound to self destruct eventually. This is really something somewhat out of his control, but since they knew it had to be coming, you would have thought that they would have had a better plan in place than simply yelling at Reporters and demanding nobody talk about it.

Former Gen. Colin Powell warned members of the GOP to “get a grip on itself” as Republicans flock to defend President Trump while the impeachment inquiry continues.
The former secretary of state said that Republican leaders need to be comfortable speaking up when they see something wrong.
“The Republican party has got to get a grip on itself,” Powell said. “Republican leaders and members of the Congress, both Senate and the House, are holding back because they’re terrified of what will happen to any one of them if they speak out.”

A former Trump Organization executive says she thinks President Donald Trump may resign rather than face possible removal from office by impeachment.
"He does a lot of things to save face," Barbara Res, a former Trump Organization vice president, told CNN's Brian Stelter on Reliable Sources Sunday.
"It would be very, very, very bad for him to be impeached," Res said. "I don't know that he'll be found guilty but I don't know that he wants to be impeached. I think that's what this panic is about. And my gut [instinct] is that he'll leave office, he'll resign. Or make some kind of a deal, even, depending on what comes out."
Res said she was hesitant to share her opinion, because "I could very well be wrong."
But Res has first-hand experience working with Trump. She was the construction engineer on some of his key projects, including Trump Tower.

What you just heard is a public admission of the allegations of the heart of the House's impeachment inquiry and at the heart of the whistleblower's complaint. That the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump is using the power of his office to solicit foreign interference in the 2020 election while doing it relying on a debunked conspiracy theory or two.
By the way, this is not hearsay, this is not a leak, this is not a whistleblower complaint. It's not a memorandum of a phone conversation. You heard the president did it on the White House lawn. This moment should arguably be a national emergency. The Founding Fathers would have considered it a national emergency if the president publicly lobbied multiple foreign governments to interfere in the next election.
And yet there has been virtually no condemnation for the president's party at all for this remark which was remarkable considering the precedent it would set and the lasting damage it would do to our democracy. It is tough to say lightly, but this is the moment that we're at.

As the presidency of Donald Trump implodes, we will see cognitive dissonance and then self-justification by his Congressional supporters and his “base.” It is a basic tenet of choice-making as human beings that we do not want to be wrong in our choices. As Trump’s criminal behavior becomes more exposed, his supporters will feel the inconsistency between their belief system, which so wholeheartedly embraced the image of Donald Trump, and the reality of who Trump really is.
This is a huge blow to the self-image of these supporters, so much of which was erected around Trump and the socially-elevating boost they received from aggravation he caused to so many in our society.
Cognitive dissonance arises from the tension caused by the growing negative truth of Trump and the sense of identity they had wrapped around what they saw previously as positive attributes projected onto Trump. This dissonance is very painful when their identification with Trump is so threatened.
To deal with this, supporters will at first justify his behavior - the very reason he is feeding them “reasons” for it. They are hollow and child-like, and look hollow to us, but they are essential for his supporters’ self-justification. They may even make up reasons Trump fails to articulate as a way to keep their belief system in conformance with changing reality, and they will, of course, attempt to convince themselves and others of his believed-in positive qualities. People with low self-esteem will dive more whole-heartedly into justifying Trump’s behavior than those with higher self-esteem.
His supporters will trivialize his actions (Senator Lindsey Graham, for example), read his actions differently than most others do (Congressman Jim Jordan, for example), or outright deny he is being exposed and that he is politically and personally imploding (most Republican members of the House and Senate). But, they will start to distance themselves from his behavior, publicly and privately until, having enough distance they might feel they can afford to cut ties with him.
Trump has to keep the con job going, because he has to, grifters have no other alternative than to keep it going when they start to get caught. His supporters don’t have the same need, and they will begin to abandon him if they can find a face-saving and self-image preserving way to do it.
It is the beginning of the end for Trump, and it is and always was inevitable. It takes a while for humans to catch up to this kind of inevitability. We are largely ahistorical and prone to fantasies and going all in on our sports teams, our stars and our politicians. But crushes fade, stars fall, and love affairs with politicians eventually give way to reality. We just need to keep up the pressure and stay alert, because we are up against a dangerous and quite capable foe.

If this were a midwinter in our warming climate, a heat wave might have the bittersweet upside of at least feeling pleasant, but there’s no way to put a comfortable spin on this week’s misery. In many places, the multi-day heat wave produced temperatures that would have been scorching even for midsummer. For example, Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., soared to 98°F on Wednesday. As noted by Capital Weather Gang, almost half (40%) of all summers in the D.C. area since 1872 failed to get that hot on even a single day, much less on a day in October.
A weather.com compilation found 75 locations—stretching from the Deep South to the Ohio Valley, eastern Great Lakes, and Northeast—that either tied or set a new all-time October record high.

Rep. Jim Jordan on Sunday insisted President Trump was not “serious” about asking China to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
“Do you think it’s appropriate for President Trump to ask China and Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden?” asked George Stephanopoulos in an interview on ABC’s “This Week.”
“George, you really think he was serious about thinking that China’s going to investigate the Biden family?” Jordan, R-Ohio, responded, smiling.
“He said it right there in public,” Stephanopoulos pointed out.
“As I think Senator [Marco] Rubio said a couple of days ago, I think he’s getting the press all spun up about this.”
Rubio, R-Fla., at a press conference Friday said he doubted Trump was making “a real request” when he called on China in addition to Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. As he’d done with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky, Trump had also discussed his political rivals with China’s President Xi Jinping. During a June 18 phone call, the president brought up the standing of Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., in the presidential race, CNN reported Thursday. While the record of that call was stored in the same highly secure electronic system that houses the full record of Trump’s call with Zelensky, Trump is also reported to have told Xi that he would remain silent on protests in Hong Kong while trade negotiations continued with the U.S.

On Friday, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Senator Ron Johnson told reporters at an event in his home state of Wisconsin that President Donald Trump blocked him from telling the Ukrainian president that US aid was on its way, fueling the quid pro quo argument at the heart of the impeachment inquiry.
But on Sunday, as few Republicans appeared on morning shows to defend Trump, Johnson had a fiery debate with NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd.
Not only did Johnson defend Trump, but he seemingly reversed his stance from what he told his constituent, saying that members of the FBI and the CIA are conspiring to bring down the president.
When pressed by Todd, Johnson said he "winced" when he learned of Trump's interactions with Ukraine because he felt that the connection between withholding US aid and appealing for an investigation into the 2016 election could create wrongful suspicion of the president.

There were no appearances by any members of the Trump administration on the Sunday morning political shows, but a few GOP members did make it on the air, including Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin. In a fiery back-and-forth with NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, Johnson reversed the stance he held at a constituent event in his home state on Friday.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Trump blocked Johnson in August from telling Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky that US aid was on its way, at the same time that the president was appealing to Zelensky to investigate his potential 2020 contender Joe Biden.

"I was surprised by the president's reaction and realized we had a sales job to do," Johnson said, indicating that the president was using the aid package as a bargaining tool for his political purposes. "I tried to convince him to give me the authority to tell President Zelensky that we were going to provide that. Now, I didn't succeed."
On "Meet the Press," Johnson instead pushed a conspiracy theory that members of the FBI and CIA are conspiring to bring down Trump with investigations into his conduct and that the press was pushing a false narrative that Trump was digging up dirt on his 2020 opponent.

In a heated exchange, Todd called Johnson's arguments "Fox News conspiracy theories" and said "Please answer the question that I asked you instead of trying to make Donald Trump feel better here that you're not criticizing him [...] What made you wince?"
Just a few days ago the lefties here were madly cut-and-pasting how Johnson was upset about the phone call. Included in his statement back then was the fact that when he talked to Trump, Trump emphatically said their was no quid pro quo and he would never do anything like that.
Rabid lefties ignored that.
Now he comes on TV and says the same thing and lefties and the lefty "media" go berserk. Next we will have them reading a text of what he actually said if you "read between the lines. If you don't conform to their narrative they will adjust what you said.
