OOPS:

John Solomon:

I can confirm to you tonight. The US government had open source intelligence and was aware that as early as February in 2019 that the Ukrainian government was planning on reopening the Burisma investigation.

This was long before the president ever imagined to have a call with President Zelensky. In fact it’s before President Zelensky was even elected.

This is a significant shift in the factual timeline. This is information that was omitted from the whistleblower’s complaint.

"I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly, but boy they look at you and say, 'you've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy.' Things like that.”"

The US Consumer is not seeing the high inflation do to Trump Trade Talks with China.

The Squatters have Speaker in Name Only Polosi sitting on the US Mexico Canada Trade deal.

She can't bring it to a floor vote. She would rather hurt the farmers and ranches.

You mean like mitch ignoring gun bills passed by congress in March????? Doesn't the treaty have to be voted on first???? Doesn't trump have to pass it down to congress first???? You dumb fuck!!!

A treaty has to be approved (or ratified) by the Senate with a 2/3 vote, but not the House. There is also what is know as an "executive agreement" which does not require any approval from the Senate. There is a "congressional treaty" which requires both chambers of Congress to approve.

Not too surprisingly the past decade or so has seen the widespread rise in the number of "executive agreements" (most signed by Obama).

The problem with an "executive agreement" is that it can be undone at any time by the next "executive" whereas a treaty must be followed by subsequent Presidents unless it is legally repealed.

Pelosi's response was unresponsive, while bluster quite a bit she didn't rebut one point outlined in the White House counsel's letter .

Quote of the Day
October 9, 2019 at 8:15 am EDT

“I’ve read the constitution a number of times and am having a hard time remembering where in the constitution it says that there has to be any formal vote by committee or by the Congress or the House to commence an investigation whether it might lead to or be motivated by the possibility of an impeachment. The problem for the White House is that there really is no appealing the process of impeachment the House uses.”
— Former White House counsel Jack Quinn, quoted by the Washington Pos

Trump’s Burn Down the House Plan
October 9, 2019 at 9:01 am EDT

Jonathan Swan: “President Trump, while nervous about the historic stain of impeachment, is throwing everything he has into this fight: refusing all cooperation, running ads to profit politically, and torching every person who stands in opposition to him.”

“When it all boils down, Trump really only trusts his own instincts. And his instincts here are the same as they were with the Mueller investigation: Fight like hell.”

The strategy: “No nuance or apology — not a hint of it. Turn the leader of the investigation (in this case, House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff) into a conservative media villain. Condemn Trump enemies in the most incendiary and exaggerated language possible (treason, traitors, coup, etc.).”

"Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said Tuesday he would send a letter to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asking for her support to ratify the new US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement (USMCA).

Mexico, which sends 80 percent of its exports to the United States, has watched nervously as the process of ratifying the deal has slowed to a seeming near-halt in the US.."

The 5th amendment
nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law

It means Congress cannot open an impeachment inquiry without a full vote of the house and once opened the process must be public and the president has a right to cross-examine witnesses against him and the minority has subpoena powers equivalent to the majority.

These are the current house rules and to change these rules now and arbitrarily declare an impeachment inquiry with secret evidence and no right of subpoena and cross-examination is a violation of due process.

And that is what is going to be argue.
