Looking at the China trade deal...

TRADE DEAL WITH CHINA IS A BLOCKBUSTER
JOHN HINDERAKER
The Phase 1 agreement covers several important topics, including agricultural sales. China has agreed to ramp up its purchases of agricultural products to $40-$50 billion–three times the previous peak–over the next two years. Trump joked that farmers will need to buy more land and work overtime. That means, I think, that Democrats can say goodbye to hopes that tariffs would be the issue that could win votes in rural America.

Let's repeat the most important part of this. The Chinese have agreed to up their buying of American agricultural products by 300%. That is not three times what the Chinese are currently buying, but three times what they have bought at "their peak".

This is a HUGE win for the agricultural areas of the country. While the Democrats (and their media cronies) were attacking the President for some short term financial issues with certain farmers (who were compensated by the government with temporary help) the reality is that these people just have zero ability to see things in the long term.

Tariffs did not destroy our economy or bring down our agriculture as many people wanted to argue. The tariffs did not create a recession, and they were not implemented because Trump is an idiot who doesn't know what he is doing. They were always a negotiating tactic that was designed to garner us a better deal than we had had.

Critics are still trying to argue that Trump is only fixing a problem he created, but that is just an argument from someone who believed that the status quo was good enough. If the Chinese could have been buying three times the amount of goods from us before and were not, then that was the problem that Trump was trying to fix.

The truth is that much of this is a waiting game and about timing. Trump took a little heat over the past few weeks knowing that he was going to actually help our farmers long term. He was willing to take the heat, when most politicians (eg: Obama) would have folded like a cheap tent. That's why he has been successful time and time again negotiating better deals for us.

I posted a piece from NPR on the subject that the farmers were sticking with Trump.

Now it's all but certain he'll lock up middle America. Minnesota is drifting towards Trump, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are in play.

And even maybe New York.

Outside NYC is already Republican. But the city's heavy population overrides the rest of the state. This is why total vote won't work for potus election. The city would make all election choices and we would have no say. That's how it is now for gov, Senator. To have a system like This on a national scale would be s disaster.

I guess posting idiotic opinions is all you got left, cramps .......Too bad in Mn that the population is shifting and growing in blue areas that trump had his ass kicked while 2 districts, one mining one industrial turned red and whose populations are shrinking.....Oh well, if you think that is a positive sign, good for you!!!! Keep praying and let us all know how that works out!!!!! BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!!! NY may have a few red congressional districts, but will never outweigh the hatred of trump and his lying....

The dummies at the DNC and All 23 Dwarfs must by now be aware that this Election is still under the same rules as all others. The Electorial College count us all that matters.

Not enclaves. Trump won most of the state. But NYC dominates our voting.

Well Wall Street workers have already said they would vote for Trump over Warren if she gets the nomination but I don't how much of the city they will take with them.

Normally any city that would vote for DeBlasio twice is a hopeless case.
