A newly unearthed document shows that Ukrainian officials had opened a new probe into the firm linked to Hunter Biden months before President Trump's phone call with that country's leader, Fox News contributor John Solomon reported late Tuesday.
Solomon said that NABU -- an FBI-like anti-corruption agency in Ukraine -- requested the probe into Burisma and owner Mykola Zlochevsky be reopened earlier this year. The investigation then went forward, Solomon said. The new probe later resulted in a "Notice of Suspicion" being filed, alleging the existence of "illicit funds" running through the firm, Solomon also claimed.
"The U.S. government had open-source intelligence and was aware as early as February of 2019 that the Ukrainian government was planning to reopen the Burisma investigation," he claimed. "This is long before the president ever imagined having a call with President Zelensky," he added, noting Petro Poroshenko was still Ukraine's president at that time..
So there was a probe "already" taking place, which actually puts parts of the phone call into perspective. Contrary to what Democrats want you to believe, the "favor" Trump asked for had nothing to to do with Burisma (but rather cooperation with the ongoing investigation being lead by Barr and Durham). In fact, it was Zelensky (not Trump) that actually brought up the subject of Burisma. What this tells us is:
- That when Zelensky talks about getting to the bottom of things, he wasn't promising anything new. There was something already in the works.
- That the idea that Trump would have been withholding funds because he wanted an investigation into Burisma makes no sense (since they were already being investigated).
Look, let's be honest here folks. The "facts" of this don't matter to Democrats or liberals. If "facts" did matter to Democrats and liberals, then they wouldn't be holding secret hearings behind closed doors and then attempting to leak bits and pieces. If the "facts" were on their side, then there would be no doubt that they would be quick to want to get them all out. They would be holding all the open hearing and doing everything in public.
But they don't and they are not. They would rather play on the emotions of their faithful, who all hate Trump with the fiery white hot passion of a thousand burning suns. Deep down, they know the facts are not on their side here. All they have (like with the Russian collusion hoax) is wild eyed allegations.
So none of these stories will matter to liberals. They will just toss it aside and go back to the fact that a poll with a 50% Democratic sample shows that 50% want to remove Trump as if that actually means anything.

SEATTLE/PARIS (Reuters) - Boeing Co faced additional uncertainty on Wednesday over future production rates for its 787 Dreamliner after Russian carrier Aeroflot formally cancelled an order for 22 aircraft valued at about $5.5 billion (4.5 billion pounds) at list prices.
The cancellation, first reported by the Seattle Times and buried in Boeing's monthly order release, is the final step in unwinding an order that had been shrouded in uncertainty ever since the airline said in 2015 it no longer needed the planes.
But the lost business theoretically knocks a hole in the production profile for the 787 Dreamliner after the world's largest planemaker increased its build-rate to 14 aircraft per month from 12 at twin U.S. factories.
Sounds like a decision made be Aeroflot all the way back to 2015 when Obama was president.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two Soviet-born businessmen based in Florida, were arrested Wednesday and are expected to face charges from the U.S. Attorneys for the Southern District of New York. Both Parnas and Fruman have been tied to the work done by the president's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, in Ukraine where Giuliani has had significant business interests.
Additionally, for the last year, Giuliani has been investigating Hunter Biden and his financial interests in Ukraine. It was not immediately clear the nature of the charges related to Parnas and Fruman or if the charges have any relation to the work being done by Giuliani.
According to an Associated Press report, Parnas and Fruman sought to replace the CEO of Naftogaz, a Ukrainian state-owned energy company, Andriy Kobolyev with another senior executive at the Ukrainian company, Andrew Favorov. According to the AP, their goal was to partner up with Favorov in a lucrative deal to export up to 100 tanker shipments a year of U.S. liquefied gas into Ukraine.

According to the indictment, filed in the Southern District of New York, the two men, along with fellow defendants David Correia and Andrey Kukushkin, "conspired to circumvent the federal laws against foreign influence by engaging in a scheme to funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and state office so that the defendants could buy potential influence with candidates, campaigns, and the candidates' governments."
