The constant moving of the goal posts...

Democrats and their liberal cronies in the media are masters of the semantic slight of hand as well as the ability to deftly change the rhetoric on the fly. No matter how many times their narrative is crushed, they seem perfectly capable of replacing it on the fly, even when the new narrative seems to defy common sense.

This current issue with the Trump/Zelensky phone call controversy is probably the perfect example for a variety of reasons. Let's first explore what the allegations have been:

  1. That Trump blatantly withheld aid to force Zelensky to "dig up dirt" on a political rival by reopening an investigation into Hunter Biden.
  2. That Trump may not have withheld, but still asked Zelensky to "dig up dirt".
  3. That Trump blatantly withheld aid to force Zelensky to "interfere in the 2020 election" by cooperating in an investigation into Ukrainian interference into our 2016 election.
  4. That Trump is asking Zelensky to "interfere in the 2020 election" by cooperating in an investigation into Ukrainian interference into our 2016 election.

The first thing that Democrats and their liberal media cronies like to do is editorialize the facts.
  • An investigation becomes "digging up dirt"
  • An investigation becomes "election interference"

Then they simply "remove" the term investigation when they explain things. Trump is not calling for an investigation, Trump is asking a foreign leader to "dig up dirt". Barr and Durham are not leading an investigation into 2016 election interference, they are engaging in 2020 election interference by asking around about Ukrainian involvement in the 2016 election.

So by the end of all of this, what will be left is the fact that Barr and Durham are leading a DOJ investigation into 2016 election interference that Comey, Brennan, Clapper, and Mueller refused to look into. This investigation is just as warranted and just as important as the investigation into Russian interference.

But Democrats know that while the investigation into Russian interference was good for their political fortunes, investigations into Ukrainian interference will be bad for their political fortunes. This is why they are so desperate to stop it by any means possible. Right now, they are quite literally attempting to demand that the President actually supporting this investigation is an impeachable offense and are openly criticizing Barr and Durham for leading a partisan attempt at election interference.

Sounds an awful lot like obstruction of justice if you ask me!

Eisenberg was made aware of the gambit to persuade Ukraine to open investigations political beneficial to the President weeks before Trump’s fateful call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. On the July 25 call, Trump requested Zelensky open a probe into Joe Biden and into a conspiracy theory about the origins of the Russian election meddling investigation. aka Deep throat conspiracy theories.

The Unraveling of Donald Trump
October 18, 2019 at 1:06 pm EDT

The Atlantic:
“The country is entering a new and precarious phase, in which the central question about President Donald Trump is not whether he is coming unstrung, but rather just HOW unstrung he is going to get.

“The boiling mind of Trump has spawned a cottage industry for cognitive experts who have questioned whether he is, well, all there. But as the impeachment inquiry barrels ahead on Capitol Hill, several associates of the president, including former White House aides, worry that his behavior is likely to get worse. Angered by the proceedings, unencumbered by aides willing to question his judgment, and more and more isolated in the West Wing, Trump is apt to lash out more at enemies imagined and real, these people told me. Conduct that has long been unsettling figures to deteriorate as Trump comes under mounting stress.”

GOP Lawmaker Rejects Mulvaney Walk Back
October 18, 2019 at 1:13 pm EDT

Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) says he was “shocked” by Mick Mulvaney’s remarks on blocking Ukraine military aide and rejected his walk back, Bloomberg reports.

Said Rooney:
“How in life can you do those kinds of things when you’ve just said it right there on national TV? It’s not an etch-a-sketch.”

“I have news for everybody. Get over it, there is going to be political influence in foreign policy. That is going to happen,” Mulvaney said. “Elections have consequences. And foreign policy is going to change from the Obama administration to the Trump administration. C.H. Truth said...

Yeah... the three stooges run around saying that there is nothing to the idea that the Ukrainians provided any sort of election interference.

Since when does a foreign government punish their own for election interference in "our election" and we are supposed to accept from Democrats that it's not worth looking into from our end?

What else might we find!

Btw... this was a "joint" Ukrainian US investigation coordinated by the Obama Administration in the middle our 2016 election. But that is perfectly acceptable if you are going after the "bad orange man".

A Ukrainian court last December ruled that [Ukrainian parliament member Serhiy] Leshchenko and the head of the country’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) — an investigative agency modeled on America’s FBI — both illegally meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election by leaking financial documents that smeared then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

The documents, known as “the black ledger,” identified payments Manafort secretly received from a Russian-backed political party in Ukraine years earlier and led to Manafort’s abrupt resignation from the Trump campaign. He eventually pleaded guilty to lobbying and tax violations and is in prison.

The court ruling against Leshchenko was an extraordinary admission of foreign government influence on America’s last presidential election. But it wasn’t Leshchenko’s only intrusion into American politics, apparently.

Sworn testimony released a few weeks ago by Congress revealed Leshchenko also was “a source” of Russian dirt on Trump that was fed to Hillary Clinton’s opposition research firm, Fusion GPS, the firm that created the so-called Steele dossier that led to a two-year Russia probe that recently cleared Donald Trump of colluding with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Keeping in mind that his article is from May:

In a related matter, Ukraine’s chief prosecutor gave an interview with Bloomberg News reiterating comments he first made in a Hill.TV interview broadcast April 1. In that interview. Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko told me he was reopening parts of an investigation involving a Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma Holdings, where then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, worked as a board member. Lutsenko said he did not believe some $3 million in payments that Burisma made to Hunter Biden’s U.S. company violated Ukraine law but might be of interest to U.S. authorities.

Sounds like there really couldn't be any "quid pro quo" on requesting an investigation that was already in place. As the conversation went, it appeared that Trump was more asking about what was happening with the investigation than asking him to start one.

RNC Raising Money To Help Democrats Televise Five Debates A Week

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Republican National Committee has launched an ambitious fundraiser to help the Democrats televise a debate every weeknight.

The move is expected to drum up significant support for the Republicans, not on their own merit but on the wackiness of the Dems.

"Look, it's tough for us to raise money by just saying the same talking points we've been using for years," said RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. "Frankly, a lot of our policy positions are kind weird and not all that conservative. But if we can just let the Democrats talk for hours every night, we're sure to win."

The RNC is looking to raise over $100 million for the campaign strategy.

Proposed debate topics include The Evils of Capitalism: A Town Hall, When Should You Force Your Toddler To Change Genders?, The Merits of Men Beating Women In MMA, and A Bidding War on Taxes: How High Can We Go?

At publishing time, Republicans had raised enough money in the first hour of the fundraising campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who ran against President Donald Trump in the 2016 Republican primary, says he supports impeaching the president.

Kasich said on CNN that the "final straw" for him was when acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney acknowledged Thursday that Trump's decision to hold up military aid to Ukraine was linked to his demand that Kyiv investigate the Democratic National Committee and the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Mulvaney later claimed his remarks were misconstrued.

Kasich said Friday: "The last 24 hours has really forced me to review all of this."

Congress is conducting an impeachment inquiry sparked by a whistleblower's allegation that Trump pressed the president of Ukraine to dig up dirt on political rival Joe Biden as he delayed military aid to the country.

Adam Schiff Flip-Flopped On Whistleblower Testimony After Reports Of Coordination

After news broke that Schiff's staff had secretly worked with the whistleblower prior to the complaint being lodged, Schiff moved to prevent the whistleblower's testimony.

House Democrats’ top impeachment inquisitor abruptly changed from repeatedly insisting on the testimony of a whistleblower against President Donald Trump to working to prevent it. The change occurred as soon as it was revealed the complainant had secretly worked with Rep. Adam Schiff’s Democratic staff prior to filing his formal complaint on Aug. 12.

At first, Schiff insisted an anti-Trump bureaucrat sharing allegations against the president must share his story with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. But after news broke that Schiff’s staff had secretly worked with the whistleblower prior to the complaint being lodged, discussions that the whistleblower failed to mention when specifically asked about them as part of the official whistleblower process, Schiff moved to prevent the testimony. The move appears designed to prevent Republican lawmakers from asking the individual under oath about his discussions with House Democrats, media, and others involved in the impeachment effort.

What if Republicans can't 'get over it'?

A rare press briefing from a Trump administration official yielded an especially telling line about the Trump presidency: "Get over it."

President Donald Trump's acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said it after confirming the existence of a quid pro quo and offered it up as a retort, but it's essentially the Trump administration's answer to any number of issues swirling around the White House at any given time.

It has a classic Trumpian flavor, charging straight ahead no matter what the haters say, as you can see in decisions like removing troops from Syria and even hosting the G7 at Trump's own property in Florida.

Still, Mulvaney's press conference, in which he also admitted to a quid pro quo with Ukraine, didn't go over so well. Mulvaney subsequently walked those comments back, but it ultimately left questions about his future in the Trump administration.

And there are even some members of Trump's own party who may not be able to "get over" Trump's latest maneuverings on Syria -- and even in the looming impeachment battle.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a vocal Trump ally, is among a chorus of Republicans critical of Trump's Syrian withdrawal. Graham called it the "biggest mistake" of Trump's presidency.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell briefed Senate Republicans behind closed doors about the House's impeachment inquiry -- and what happens next. He previewed the workload of a Senate impeachment trial (Spoiler alert: It involves working six days a week) and predicted the Senate's trial could be over by Christmas.

A Merry Christmas gift gift to the American people should be is the ejection notice to The White House from The United States Senate.

Move to Russia and get another golden shower!🚽 🕖
