Three years and millions of dollars later...

Democrats have decided that investigating foreign involvement in our 2016 election is now a political act and quite possibly a criminal or impeachable offense?

So pretty much from the day Trump was elected the Democrats have held that foreign interference in our elections was akin to a modern day Pearl Harbor. The hacking of the DNC servers and some social media ads were paramount to one of the darkest things anyone has ever done and demanded three separate Congressional investigations, as well as FBI, CIA, and Special Counsel investigations on top of that.

If I had a dollar for every Democrat and liberal who demanded that any foreign interference was nothing short than a complete attack on our democracy, I would be retired on my own island. Furthermore, anyone thought to have any information was investigated nearly to death. Anything other than a complete and total surrender to these investigations was also considered blatant crimes of obstruction and treason.

But of course, that was Russia. Now that our Department of Justice and intelligence agencies have uncovered evidence that Ukraine also likely interfered with our 2016 elections (or are at least examining evidence that was previously ignored), Democrats and liberals are singing a different tune. Now, the idea of a foreign country may have interfered in our elections is not important. In fact the idea that our Department of Justice and intelligence community would even be looking into it, is actually corrupt and little more than an attempt to interfere with the 2020 election.

One of the arguments our liberal friend here suggested back when we were investigating Russia was that they would have been just as upset if the foreign interference took place on their candidate's behalf. They demanded that there was no double standard, and that they would be just as supportive of investigations and demand just as much cooperation from anyone involved on their side if things were reversed.

Well here we are. Things are exactly reversed. We now know:

• Ukraine probably interfered in the 2016 election. 
• They probably interfered on behalf of Hillary Clinton.
• There was probably cooperation from members of the US Government. 

So for those of you liberal who demand that foreign election interference is akin to an attack on our Democracy and that any Americans cooperating with any such interference are traitors and guilty of treason, I would urge you to remember your own words.

I would also urge you to stand with William Barr and John Durham in their quest to uncover the truth. I would also urge all of you to stay true to your word and demand that everyone be supportive and cooperative. I would also urge you to denounce any attempts by Democrats to undercut or undermine the legitimacy of such investigations, just as you denounced Trump every time he stated something about his innocence (which of course was proven correct).

I would also urge you to treat Ukraine with the same suspicion that you treated Russia. If they interfered with our elections, why should we treat them with kid gloves?  If they will not cooperate with these investigations, then should they be getting any of our aid or military support? Why would you support providing aid to a nation that committed horrible atrocities that your side compares to military attacks such as Pear Harbor? Certainly you should support our position that they must be transparent in regards to any possible 2016 election interference or face losing this aid.

Either that, you can just be good hypocritical Democrats and follow the partisan political talking points bulletin that your dishonest leaders are providing you. Because I never once believed you when you said your issue was actually about election integrity. The entire Russian hoax was about politics, partisanship, and trying to undermine the President.

This is why you feel that investigations into Ukraine must be just as dishonest as the investigation you supported. It's called projection.
