Due to his extensive foreign policy experience as Mayor of Sound Bend Indiana!

Exclusive: With 218 foreign policy endorsements, Buttigieg targets a big Biden asset
More than 200 foreign policy and national security professionals, including dozens of veterans of the Obama administration, on Monday are endorsing Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg for president.
The text of their joint letter targets President Donald Trump, but the subtext is aimed at former Vice President Joe Biden, who touts his foreign policy experience during the Obama administration as a major asset in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. The endorsements are designed to burnish Buttigieg's credentials as a potential commander in chief and portray him as the leader of a new generation.

So Mayor Pete is now a foreign policy expert, at least according to a bunch of Democratic national security experts. Apparently the best they have is a guy barely old enough to run for President, with no national political experience, much less international experience. This tells us all we need to know about the Democratic Presidential field.

Buttigieg commissioned a poll of his own supporters and found that they support him. Good thing the media is reporting this important news.

Why commission a poll of the 15% of voters, 8 out of 10 of whom voted for you? Because you’re trying to fake support that doesn’t exist.

When a tiny fraction of voters and residents actually voted for you, that suggests there’s a problem. And South Bend is one big heaving mass of problems.

Editor at Evangelical Newspaper Quits In Protest
December 24, 2019 at 8:26 am EST

An editor at The Christian Post has abruptly quit the publication after it aligned itself with Donald Trump as part of a spiraling evangelical Christian civil war, the Washington Post reports.

TRUMP WAS GOING TO UNITE US ALL. HE IS DIVIDING EVEN THE EVANGELICALS.

this is fucking hilarious.

"an evangelical civil war."

LOL.

evangelicals, and christians in general are smart enough and practical enough to know that the democrat party is the party of DEATH.

there are things about trump that are unpleasant to be sure, but when the alternative is to embrace a party who condones murdering a newborn child mere moments after birth, christians of all stripes understand and accept that to be a democrat means aligning oneself with pure, unadulterated EVIL.

Editor quits after Christian publication backs Trump amid evangelical divide

An editor for The Christian Post announced his “abrupt” resignation Monday night over an editorial that he says positioned the evangelical Christian newspaper as being “on Team Trump.”

The Christian Post on Monday published an editorial by John Grano and Richard Lan that slammed Christianity Today editor Mark Galli for his op-ed last week calling for President Trump to be removed from office. The Post piece argued that Christianity Today’s “disdainful, dismissive, elitist posture toward their fellow Christians may well do far more long-term damage to American Christianity and its witness than any current prudential support for President Trump will ever cause.”

Napp Nazworth, who has worked for the Christian Post website since 2011, according to The Washington Post, announced in a series of tweets that he could no longer work for the publication in good conscience over its pro-Trump stance.

“Today, rather abruptly, I was forced to make the difficult choice to leave The Christian Post,” Mr. Nazworth wrote. “They decided to publish an editorial that positions them on Team Trump. I can’t be an editor for a publication with that editorial voice.

“I’m saddened by what happened for many reasons. I’ve been with CP for over 8.5 years, made many friendships, and had lots of exciting opportunities along the way,” he continued. “As long as I was with the company, they strived to be a place that represented the diversity of evangelicalism in the US. I even wrote about this diversity in the last published article I wrote on Sunday. When the editors had disagreements, we would work through them, letting those discussions and debates inform and improve our coverage.

“Now, CP has chosen to go in a different direction. Like so many other media companies, they’ve chosen to silo themselves,” he wrote. “They’ve chosen to represent a narrow (and shrinking) slice of Christianity. That might be a good business decision, short term at least. But it’s bad for Democracy, and bad for the Gospel. It means there will be one more place where readers can go for bias confirmation, but one less place where readers can go to exercise their brains on diversity of thought.”

The Christian Post’s editorial Monday came in stark contrast to Christianity Today’s, in which Mr. Galli claimed that Mr. Trump unconstitutionally and immorally “attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents.”

The president later slammed the publication as a “far left magazine” that he will no longer read.

Christianity Today President Timothy Dalrymple told The Washington Post that their anti-Trump position had resulted in only 2,000 canceled subscriptions, compared to about 5,000 new subscriptions from a younger, more diverse and more global audience.

I never thought of a religion based on a 2000+ year old set of books to come out and call for diversity of thought.

But as it turns out... liberals love to quit, whine, protest, bicker, and eventually go to social media (or other media) to complain... whenever their own personal beliefs get challenged.

the person in question (Nazworth) calls himself a "Political Writer" "academic" on LinkedIn. He barely mentions that he is Christian, even referring to his jjob at the Christian Post as the "Politics Editor".

So this isn't about religion, James... it's just another liberal who can't stand diversity of thought (unless it's his thought).

there's some more of that tolerance that liberals always like to brag about.

Ch, whenever you attempt to talk about religion, you generally make yourself look stupid.

Diversity of thought was rampant among the ancient Hebrews, the ancient Israelites, and the ancient Jews, including those in the time of Jesus (Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes, Zealots, etc. etc.

Diversity of thought was also present among the early and the later Christians, as reflected in the writings of the New Testament and especially in the great creedal controversies of the Roman Empire.

Try to make a little more sense.

The FBI is asking questions about former Republican Gov. Matt Bevin's pardons
Phillip M. Bailey and Tom Loftus, Louisville Courier JournalPublished 7:20 p.m. ET Dec. 23, 2019 | Updated 8:38 a.m. ET Dec. 24, 2019

The FBI is asking questions about the pardons Matt Bevin issued during his last weeks as Kentucky governor, The Courier Journal has learned.

State Rep. Chris Harris, D-Forest Hills, told reporters that a criminal investigator contacted him last week and asked what he knew about Bevin's pardons.

Harris did not elaborate on what questions were asked, and he declined to say which law enforcement agency contacted him.

"I can confirm that I have been contacted by someone looking into the pardons that were issued by Gov. Bevin on his way out the door," he said. "The impression I got is that there was an investigation ramping up."

Two sources with knowledge of the inquiry told The Courier Journal on Monday that an FBI agent had spoken with Harris. An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment, saying the agency could "neither confirm nor deny the existence of said investigation" when reached late Monday night.

Bevin has received national criticism for pardoning or commuting the sentences of more than 650 people following his failed reelection bid in November.

Working weekends, late nights, Gov. Matt Bevin rushed to issue hundreds of pardons

State prosecutors and leaders such as U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have condemned several of Bevin's decisions, particularly his pardon of Patrick Baker, who had served two years of a 19-year sentence for reckless homicide and robbery in the slaying of a Knox County man in front of his family.

The Courier Journal reported on Dec. 11 that Baker's brother held a campaign fundraiser at his home for Bevin in July 2018 that raised $21,500. The former governor also received a letter from business executive Terry Forcht, one of the state’s Republican mega-donors, urging Bevin to pardon Baker.

Forcht has given at least $2.8 million to state and national political causes in the last 40 years, including more than $100,000 to Bevin's campaign and inauguration funds.

Bevin has welcomed an investigation and denied political gifts had anything to do with his pardons.

BULLSH*T.

If Trump can get away with it, why can't Bevin?

oh ok, now i get it.

what you're saying is that evangelical christians, once taught to forgive; to hate the sin and love the sinner, must abandon those foundational principles because 'orange man bad' and to hate is now a virtue because trump's worth it. "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" has been subjugated to the politics of sheer hatred of a man who is flawed. as we all are..

some pastor you are, pederast. you actually advocate for the antithesis of christianity simply because of your TDS.

i always knew you were a fraud. thank you for gifting us this reinforcement of that belief just in time for the holidays.

It actually just liberals who either claim to be evangelical (or in the previous case of Napp Nazworth someone who admits to being a liberal political writer and is claimed by others to be evangelical).

The religious people I know generally keep politics (and especially specific politicians) out of religion. They might have their causes (abortion, gay marriage, etc...) but they don't bust on individual politicians (even those who disagree).

Political people claiming religious authority do that. More to the point... liberals (such as yourself) who place politics above their religion and will side with a Politician over Gospel.

what's particularly ironic is that liberals generally eschew religion. they don't generally practice it, and couldn't care less about it EXCEPT to use it as a political cudgel when convenient.

"let him who is without sin cast the first stone"
thus showing himself willing to avoid any
"sheer hatred of a man who is flawed. as we all are.."

Trouble is, I don't remember him exercising any of that Christ-like understanding and restraint toward Obama when he was president.

true. and i'm still ok with it in the first trimester only.

it's when the fetus can feel pain and has developed into a recognizable human that i draw the line.

what's particularly repulsive is the liberals penchant for postpartum abortion. kermit gosnell is in prison for life for this very practice, a practice which has become mainstream and is celebrated by the left as some glorious and blessed event. i'm left to wonder when, not if, we get to a place where the left would kill the child perhaps as a toddler. perhaps as old as school age.

so pederast, it's when you fuckers decided to go full-on dr. josef mengele... that's a place of pure evil that i could not go.

Now they both use it as a political cudgel.

i prefer to avoid the topic entirely, but i will on occasion note the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to religion. and abortion is always the most convenient example.

Is Pelosi not a Christian because of her stand on LGBT?

Pelosi has long supported LGBT rights. In 1996, she voted against the Defense of Marriage Act, and in 2004 and 2006, she voted against the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment, which would amend the United States Constitution to define marriage federally as being between one man and one woman, thereby overriding states' individual rights to legalize same-sex marriage. When the Supreme Court of California overturned the state's ban on marriage between same-sex couples in 2008, Pelosi released a statement welcoming the "historic decision". She also indirectly voiced her opposition to California Proposition 8, a successful 2008 state ballot initiative which defined marriage in California as a union between one man and one woman.

The LGBT advocacy group Human Rights Campaign gave Pelosi a 100% rating in 2006 for her voting record in the 107th through 109th congresses (2001–2006), indicating that she voted favorably on legislation supported by the organization on every occasion. In 2012, Pelosi said her position on LGBT rights such as same-sex marriage grows from and reflects her Catholic faith; it also places her at odds with Catholic doctrine, which defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman. She said "My religion compels me—and I love it for it—to be against discrimination of any kind in our country, and I consider [the ban on gay marriage] a form of discrimination. I think it's unconstitutional on top of that."

Pelosi supports the Equality Act, a bill that would expand the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. In 2019, she spoke in Congress in favor of the bill and called for ending discrimination against LGBT people. Pelosi also opposes Trump's transgender military ban.
