Fauci made it clear on “Face the Nation” with Margaret Brennan when she tried to blast Trump for offering hope over possible cures for the virus and tried to suggest that he, Fauci, had a different position than Trump. But Fauci said there was no separation or difference between them, they just came at the same effort from two positions, he as the medical person, and Trump, as the president, offering hope to Americans. Fauci made it clear he was on to what the media was doing and he wasn’t buying into it.
“We’ve never had a threat like this,” Fauci explained. “And the coordinated response has been, there are a number of adjectives to describe it. Impressive I think is one of them. I mean, we’re talking about all hands on deck, is that, I, as one of many people, are on a team, I’m not the only person. Since the beginning, since we recognized what this was, I have been devoting almost full time on this.” Fauci described it as almost round the clock for a the whole group of folks on it, not just him, every single day. “So I can’t imagine that anyone could be doing more,” Fauci said.
So yeah... the doctor that everyone thinks is undermining Trump and believes Trump is some sort of moron, actually believes that he is doing a good job. Not just a good job, but he can't imagine anyone doing more.
One thing about Trump that is well known is that he is a tireless worker. Always has been, in personal business and now as President. You can criticize decision making or whatever, but you cannot criticize the effort put forth by the President or by his task force. The sheer amount of moving parts and the sheer amount of what has been done so far is completely overwhelming.
Let's be perfectly clear about one thing. Dementia Joe Biden could not handle this in his best years. He simply isn't that bright or that effective. But at nearly 80 years of age, Dementia Joe is well past his prime. I think the fact that he has been hidden away for the most part is an indication that his original plan to create an alternate Presidency where he explains what he would be doing backfired enormously.

Cuomo orders hospitals to add beds as coronavirus cases top 20k
https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Cuomo-orders-hospitals-to-add-beds-as-coronavirus-15150677.php
"Through a little known codicil in NYS law known informally as PFM or "Pure Fucking Magic" Cuomo has instructed NY hospitals to employ the power of fairy dust and unicorn farts to make these hospital beds magically appear.
Hospital administrators were last seen snapping their fingers and saying things like "abracadabra" and "hocus pocus" to make this mandated number of additional beds materialize. A Go Fund Me page has been established to purchase additional magic wands to help meet this mandate"
Too funny RRB.
Why did you feel compelled, Ch, to leave out the quotes from Fauci where he clearly states that he has sometimes been forced openly to disagree with Trump?
Would you like to give us those, in context?
funny but sad, as well.
all this fuckstick is doing is puffing his chest out for the camera's, taking full credit for what appears to be working, and assigning blame to everyone else for what's still not working.
imagine being the CEO of a hospital in NYS and having to figure out how to comply with a physical impossibility.
the moniker of "fredo" appears to be up for grabs between chris and andrew these days.
Why did you feel compelled, Ch, to leave out the quotes from Fauci where he clearly states that he has sometimes been forced openly to disagree with Trump?
Would you like to give us those, in context?
because -
A) it has the significance of a pimple on a gnat's ass
and
B) "openly disagree" is false. Fauci has had to correct Trump on the occasions Trump used words or phrases that were factually and/or scientifically and medically not accurate. but that does not count as open disagreement. honest people know this. "openly disagree" is a phrase used by some lying asshat journalism in their little game of 'gotcha.' Dr. Fauci is too much of a professional to take the bait, so the MSM feels compelled to try and put words in his mouth.

Washington, D.C. (March 22, 2020)— Tonight, Senate Democrats blocked the cloture vote to proceed on the CARES Act, the much-needed relief package to keep the economy afloat.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“The Democrats put partisan interests ahead of what’s good for the nation by blocking the cloture vote this evening to proceed on the CARES Act. Millions of small businesses and employees around the country need the relief that this bill offered. Small businesses will know who is to blame for holding up the loans and grants they require to stay operational and pay their employees. April 1st is right around the corner and in the real world that is when rent, car, and mortgage payments are due. Ordinary Americans need the checks that the CARES Act would provide now, not a month or two from now. Millionaires like Pelosi and Schumer obviously don’t need to worry about these concerns facing their constituents. It’s time they stop playing chicken with the livelihoods of millions of Americans just so they can stick it to Trump.”

I can confirm this. This is what Democrats torpedoed the rescue package for.
This will go down as one of the most cynical, disgusting, malevolent actions in history. Millions are losing jobs while they play these games.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Amid political bickering over a potential economic relief package, Democrats warned Americans that the stimulus bill would stimulate the economy.
"This stimulus bill might stimulate the economy -- which would hurt our chances to stop the bad orange man," said Senator Chuck Schumer. "We can't overstate how much damage this would do to our 2020 campaign. The last thing we need is a strong economy going into November."
"This stimulus package is horrifying. It specifically includes funding to stimulate Trump's economy, and we can't have that."
"We cannot pass it to find out what is in it -- then we might accidentally increase Trump's chance of reelection," said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. "We must move slowly and cautiously here."
Upon reading part of the bill, Democratic leaders were confused to learn that it would give money back to taxpayers instead of taking it away. "Is that even legal?"

No, thank you for showing us what an absolute GHOUL you are.
I only heard about this on the radio last night. She was described as a woman in her seventies who was tested a week ago and died Sunday night in the intensive care unit of one of our two local hospitals. No name was given.
Beyond that, I presently know nothing, except that you are despicable for calling her "a[n] old dust bag."
And you dare to call others subhumans!

Trump Falsely Says Ventilators Are Coming Quickly

“President Trump is falsely asserting how quickly automakers including GM, Ford and Tesla can manufacture ventilators to help fill an acute U.S. shortage of the medical equipment for coronavirus patients,” the AP reports.
“Ford and GM have yet to start production, and it would take them months, if not longer, to begin production, if it’s even possible.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) explained why Democrats blocked the economic rescue bill last night: “We voted no on the McConnell-GOP bill because among other problems it includes huge bailouts without protections for people and workers and without accountability, and because it shortchanges our hospitals and healthcare workers who need our help.”
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) responded: “Blah blah blah.”

The main difference is that the consensus forecast has Michigan leaning to the Democrats.

“Mr. Trump has become frustrated with Dr. Fauci’s blunt approach at the briefing lectern, which often contradicts things the president has just said…
Mr. Trump knows that Dr. Fauci is seen as credible with a large swath of the public and with journalists, and so he has given him more leeway to contradict him than he has other officials.”

“Try running an economy with major hospitals overflowing, doctors and nurses forced to stop treating some because they can’t help all, and every moment of gut-wrenching medical chaos being played out in our living rooms, on TV, on social media, and shown all around the world. There is no functioning economy unless we control the virus.”
— Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), dismissing calls from some to pull back on social distancing measures in order to stop damage to the economy.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced that her husband has been hospitalized with the coronavirus.
“We just got the test results at 7 a.m. this morning. While I cannot see him and he is of course cut off from all visitors, our daughter Abigail and I are constantly calling and texting and emailing. We love him very much and pray for his recovery. He is exhausted and sick but a very strong and resilient person.”
