Doesn't mean that this polling is wrong or that Silver is overanticipating the amount of the Biden bump... it's just quite a huge bump considering that Biden has not been in any of these states in any real fashion. A bump like this would basically remove the concept that organization, money, and retail politics matters. It would basically promote the concept that everything in politics is driven by the most recent news cycle. Not just "sort of driven" - but that one big news swing has the impact of turning a race completely upside down in less than 48 hours!
In fact, according to Silver, Biden is now twice as likely as Bernie to win the plurality of delegates. On Sunday, Bernie was still twice as likely to win the pluraity of delegate as Biden was. Silver now shows that Biden is approximately four times more likely than Sanders to win a majority? So quite literally the race is now "upside down".

Trump just wants to see a brokered convention. Ideally it would be Bernie who would be the delegate leader, which would force the Super-delegates to take it away from him... again.
As much as people claimed Hillary won fair and square last time, that wasn't true... because every time you thought Bernie had a good day and was looking to gain momentum, the Superdelegates (who in 2016 pledged in each state after their primary) would end up making it look like Hillary won the state (or came much closer than she did). It was a tremendous advantage when you can lose the vote and still claim a delegate victory (and increase your "inevitability factor").
Trump keeps goating Bloomberg to drop out. Calling him mini-Mike and demanding that he is a loser! That "probably means" he actually wants him to stay in... which I suspect he will till the bitter end, considering how much money he has spent.
Meanwhile, Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Harris and others are all bending over and taking it from Biden... all as a coordinated effort to stop Bernie (and probably Bloomberg as well).
Don't count out the idea that one or the other (Bernie or Mini-Mike) runs as an independent... or maybe both could! That would be wonderful!
