As has been pointed out (by people who care about reality) the Center of Disease Control is operating at a budget of 7.7 billion dollars (which is a half billion dollars more than the CDC was funded for in 2019). Rumors of the President personally slashing the budget and cutting programs is fundamentally a lie. Certain segments of the CDC have been consolidated into unified direction as a matter of cost savings over duplication. Moreover, the actual responsibilities of the listings of programs supposedly cut have not gone away, just the duplicated management of said programs.
Lastly, as anyone with even the simplest of understanding of the Federal Government understands... a President does not cut any department budget. Only Congress can to so. Considering that the House controls the initial funding for everything, it's more than a little bit hypocritical and dishonest to blame the President for some sort of "lack of funding" that would have been actually written and passed by Democrats in the House.
