Super Tuesday II - Dementia Joe running away!

Three wins for Biden. Three ties for Bernie

The numbers fell down pretty much as expected, with the only big question being the margin of victory in Michigan for Biden. As it turns out Michigan might have been slightly closer than expected, while Bernie fell flat in Mississippi (and even missed the 15% threshold in some areas). Some expected Dementia Joe to win Washington, and that looks to be a wash at this point.

Under normal circumstances a candidate in Bernie's shoes would see no real path to the nomination and decide to step aside. But that seems unlikely to happen. I expect to see Bernie slug on through to the bitter end.

And the stable genius is now shitting bricks as his must win state of Michigan voters come out in record numbers which should put the fear of god in all the slurpers....!!!!!!!

You should really just go back to like first grade. Trump won with 306 electoral college votes. Had he lost Michigan, he would have still won 290-248 over Clinton. had he lost Michigan and Pennsylvania, he still would have won 270-268.

It's pretty simple math. You should try math sometime.

Either way... I would argue that both states are "must win" for Dementia Joe and that he still needs to pick up another state without losing anything else!!

Hey Lil Schitty.....The demo of Michigan is very similar to PA and WI....where Joe is very strong....You want to rethink your gibberish math since all you got is prayer as trump is facing doom!!!!!! Idiot Nice try slurper....!!!

There will be no brokered convention this year.

Make no mistake it's more a vote against Bernie than a vote for Biden.

Democrats have self imposed amnesia about why Dementia Joe took fourth and fifth in Iowa and New Hampshire... As stated before, Democrats try hard to do the same thing every election. Only in years where the voters reject the establishment choice (Bill Clinton or Barack Obama) have they won.

Kinda how trump won against Hillary Mi, Pa and Wi.....good one cramps...

With 99% reporting in Michigan, @realDonaldTrump has 637,000+ votes, absolutely crushing previous Republican and Democrat incumbents... By comparison Obama had 174k votes in 2012.

Michigan looking GREAT for Trump !!!

Democrats have self imposed amnesia

About the silliest thing you have ever posited Lil Schitty.....Iowa a caucus.....NH lily white like you......No amnesia, just the reality that Joe has the chops to beat your inept hero.....!!!!!!! Bernies platform is something that may occur years from now...only after all the white assholes in the GOP get too old to vote.......like you!!!!!

Yeah coward.....

About 1.2 million Democratic ballots were cast in the 2016 presidential primary.

On Tuesday, close to 1.6 million Democratic ballots were cast and about 680,000 Republican ballots, based on unofficial results. Trump received about 94% of the Republican vote.

Gee....thanx for playing

Jimmy Carter also was a non establishment candidate.

At least some of us have a little independence and self reliance!

The problem the "non-establishment" candidate is an out and out communist who as spent years in Washington DC.

The Democrats needed a governor or private citizen outside the DC establishment to run.

Unfortunately for them, Steyer, Buttigiest, and Bloomberg ain't it.

Biden Proves He Can Rebuild the ‘Blue Wall’
March 11, 2020 at 9:06 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Tim Alberta: “Biden had a spectacular showing on Tuesday, winning every single county in Michigan and blowing Sanders out in three other states that voted, essentially sealing the nomination by leaving his lone rival no plausible path forward. But the big takeaway from the day’s big prize, Michigan, isn’t that Biden is a spectacular candidate. The big takeaway is that he doesn’t need to be.

“Two things happened on Tuesday in Michigan. First, Democratic turnout exploded. Second, Biden performed far better with key demographic groups than Clinton did four years ago. If either one of those things happen in November, Trump will have a difficult time winning the state again. If both things happen, the president can kiss Michigan’s 16 electoral votes goodbye—and with them, more than likely, the electoral votes of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

“There goes the White House.”

A Stunning Turnaround for Joe Biden
March 11, 2020 at 6:49 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

New York Times: “With a string of commanding victories on Tuesday — Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, probably any other ‘M’ state that might have bothered with a primary this week — Joe Biden appears poised to complete one of the most striking turnarounds in recent campaign memory, finding himself in a dominant position only 10 days after the first state victory of his three presidential runs.”

Biden picks up endorsements from 9 former Bloomberg backers in Congress
by Hunter Walker

WASHINGTON — Joe Biden has nine new endorsements to go with his growing delegate lead in the Democratic presidential primary. The Biden campaign announced the backers on Tuesday morning. All are members of the House of Representatives who previously supported former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The group comprises Reps. Gregory Meeks, Nita Lowey and Max Rose of New York; Pete Aguilar, Scott Peters, and Juan Vargas of California; Lucy McBath of Georgia; Bobby Rush of Illinois; and Stacey Plaskett of the U.S. Virgin Islands. They released a joint statement saying they were “proud to endorse Joe Biden for President of the United States.”

“Joe Biden is what our nation needs right now. He is a leader who can unify Americans in our shared values and common aspirations,” the statement said.

“We need a leader who serves with empathy and a moral compass that will galvanize the best in all of us as we tackle tough issues and look to strengthen our fractured global credibility. A leader that doesn’t just talk about inequality and the wealth gap, but has worked on solutions. That’s Joe Biden.”

Soon Bernie backers will start getting into line, perhaps including Bernie himself.

Mr. Dementia, are you under the impression this is a news posting site and not a political opinion blog? And you don't even post important news people may not know or would be interested in knowing.

Nor is this site supposed to be a shrine to Taegan Goddard political_lire postings from what I understand.

And as you appear to have forgotten or didn't even bother reading yourself you copy/pasted all kinds of MIKE Bloomberg crap here from political_lire.

But according to you it had no influence on you which begs the question... Why keep up your waterboy act if it doesn't even influence you?

Dementia? Good reason to vote for Joe too.

Trump and GOP mount coordinated campaign to paint Biden as senile

Trump walked the donors through a list of Biden’s recent verbal stumbles, such as his recent declaration that he was running for Senate and his assertion that 150 million Americans had been killed by gun violence since 2007. Trump questioned whether the former vice president had the mental stamina to sustain the rigors of a general election campaign.

WHO Officially Calls Coronavirus a Pandemic
March 11, 2020 at 12:41 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

World Health Organization officials said the spread of the coronavirus across more than 100 countries now qualifies as a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, confirming what many epidemiologists have been saying for weeks, the New York Times reports.

From a statement:
“Pandemic is not a word to use lightly or carelessly. It is a word that, if misused, can cause unreasonable fear, or unjustified acceptance that the fight is over, leading to unnecessary suffering and death.”

To refuse to call it what it is, as Trump does, can lead to every direr consequences.

And let’s not forget the fact that Biden appears to be suffering from some kind of cognitive decline that is impossible to ignore. Whether it’s calling a female voter a ‘lyin’ dog-faced pony soldier’ or mocking another voter’s weight, even Democratic insiders are concerned that Biden’s constant gaffes and memory lapses could destroy him on the campaign trail or during debates against Trump.
