Trump had better be careful. This suggests that, in spite of his gains in the polls, a majority of our citizenry have more common sense and maturity than Trump does. Americans are not buying into the idea that just because Trump wants the virus to go away, it will. Rather, they are agreeing with those who warn that things may have to get much worse before they begin to get better, and that meanwhile some very difficult and painful choices must be made in order to divert an even greater disaster -- even if those choices cause our nation and our individuals intense economic and personal pain.
