Imagine: The FDA approves a vaccine, major pharmaceuticals deliver the doses...

and the Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate tells supporters not to take it?

Obviously the FDA is a place where those people who democrats trust (scientists) work. But as we are finding out, democrats are not really about science. They are simply about finding particular scientists who provide unproven hypothesis that fit their political rhetoric and demand that we must listen to them.

As I have stated many times before. The difference between how democrats view science and how the rest of the world views science is the difference between watching these Covid-19 death "models" flail around all over the place, while the actual scientist work behind the scene creating a vaccine. The models (by nature) cannot be tested or verified. They are guesses and have not been accurate. But the vaccine will have been tested and verified long before it hits the market, because that is how science works.

For someone like Harris (who probably demands we listen to the "science" of global warming "models") to question the scientists at the CDC and FDA is about as low, political, and partisan as you can get.

Would she rather see people die if it gives her a better chance of winning an election? It certainly appears to be the case. Obviously there is no moral compass here.

Trump Fixates on Promise of Vaccine

“President Trump is so fixated on finding a vaccine for the novel coronavirus that in meetings about the U.S. pandemic response, little else captures his attention,” the Washington Post reports.

“Trump has pressed health officials to speed up the vaccine timeline and urged them to deliver one by the end of the year. He has peppered them with questions about the development status and mass-distribution plans. And, in recent days, he has told some advisers and aides that a vaccine may arrive by Nov. 1, which just happens to be two days before the presidential election.”

“And despite Harris’ lukewarm relationship with some anti-establishment progressive groups, they are considering ways to cast her as a champion of the radical left by concentrating on positions she’s taken that run afoul of Biden-style centrism, one of the former vice president’s key appeals to swing voters.”

Trump Called Evangelical Christianity ‘Bullshit,’ Privately Mocked Evangelicals As Gullible: Says Michael Cohen

President Trump’s longtime lawyer and personal fixer, Michael Cohen, alleges in a new book that Trump privately mocked Evangelicals and called Christianity “bullshit.”

In the book, “Disloyal: A Memoir,” which was obtained by The Washington Post ahead of its Tuesday publication date, Cohen writes that before winning the presidency, Trump held a meeting at Trump Tower with prominent evangelical leaders, where they laid their hands on him in prayer.

Afterward, Trump allegedly said: 'Can you believe that bulls–t? Can you believe people believe that bulls–t?'

“The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swathe of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being,” Cohen writes. “The truth was that he couldn’t care less.”

Cohen also depicts Trump as being crude toward women, including inadvertently commenting on Cohen’s then-15-year-old daughter as she finished up a tennis lesson: “Look at that piece of a–,” Trump said, according to Cohen. “I would love some of that.”

He also describes a tawdry 2013 visit to a Las Vegas club, the Act, with Trump and Aras and Emin Agalarov — a Russian father-and-son oligarch duo. Cohen asserts that the group watched a debauched strip show that included one performer who simulated urinating on another performer, who pretended to drink it.

Trump’s reaction to the show, Cohen writes, was “disbelief and delight.”

WASHINGTON — Sen. Kamala Harris criticized President Donald Trump's push to have a coronavirus vaccine ready for distribution before Election Day, painting the president as willing to use his power for political advantage.

"I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he’s talking about. I will not take his word for it," Harris, D-Calif., said in an interview with CNN.

Harris, Democratic nominee Joe Biden's running mate, also expressed skepticism that health experts would get the final say on the safety and efficacy of a vaccine.

"They’ll be muzzled, they’ll be suppressed, they will be sidelined because he’s looking at an election coming up in less than 60 days and he’s grasping to get whatever he can to pretend he has been a leader on this issue when he is not," she says.

Trump, who continues to trail Biden in the polls as he seeks re-election during a global pandemic, has been accused of pressuring health officials to speed up the timeline for a coronavirus vaccine to have it ready for public use before November.

"We remain on track to deliver a vaccine before the end of the year and maybe even before Nov. 1. We think we can probably have it sometime during the month of October," Trump said at the White House on Friday.

Health experts have said Trump's desired timeline is incredibly unrealistic.

What I would not ever in a million years have imagined is a situation where nearly 1000 people a day are dying... and a politician running for office would go on National television and attempt to make people question that a potential vaccine should be used... if developed by scientists and approved by the FDA.

If I had suggested such a thing 10 years ago...

- 1000 people dying daily
- Politicians claiming that nobody should accept an FDA approved vaccine unless it happened "after" an election

Everyone would have suggested that this politician was about as low as it comes.

What Harris really said for the mentally challenge trump slurpers.....BWAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Kamala Harris expresses distrust of any vaccine promoted by President Trump.

Senator Kamala Harris of California, the Democratic nominee for vice president, said she would not trust President Trump’s assurances that a coronavirus vaccine was safe, and instead would wait for medical experts to confirm the vaccine was reliable before she received an inoculation.

“I will not take his word for it,” Ms. Harris said of Mr. Trump on CNN’s “Inside Politics.”

“He wants us to inject bleach,” she added, referring to remarks in April when the president incomprehensibly suggested a dangerous coronavirus treatment.

Ms. Harris’s remarks came after federal officials alerted state and major city public health agencies last week to prepare to distribute a vaccine to health care workers and other high-risk groups as soon as late October or early November. Given that no vaccine candidates have completed the kind of large-scale human trials that can prove efficacy and safety, that time frame has heightened concerns that the Trump administration is seeking to rush a vaccine rollout ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3.

Push is inaccurate. Is Trump doing everything to cut out unnecessary red tape to ensure the trials go in a speedy and safe manner without unnecessary delay? Yes.

Is he compromising the safety and integrity of the trials? No.

It's really quite simple, Trump knows how to marshal resources and cut though bureaucratic bullshit to get the job done.

The vast majority of Black Lives Matter protests—more than 93%—have been peaceful, according to a new report published Thursday by a nonprofit that researches political violence and protests across the world.

The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) analyzed more than 7,750 Black Lives Matter demonstrations in all 50 states and Washington D.C. that took place in the wake of George Floyd’s death between May 26 and August 22.

Their report states that more than 2,400 locations reported peaceful protests, while fewer than 220 reported “violent demonstrations.” The authors define violent demonstrations as including “acts targeting other individuals, property, businesses, other rioting groups or armed actors.” Their definition includes anything from “fighting back against police” to vandalism, property destruction looting, road-blocking using barricades, burning tires or other materials. In cities where protests did turn violent—these demonstrations are “largely confined to specific blocks,” the report says.

The ACLED report includes protests toppling statues of “colonial figures, slave owners and Confederate leaders” as violent incidents. “Since Floyd’s killing, there have been at least 38 incidents in which demonstrators have significantly damaged or torn down memorials around the country,” the report states.

Inside Barcelona’s Unfinished Masterpiece
Still, many people continue to believe that Black Lives Matter protests are largely violent—contrary to the report’s findings. ACLED highlights a recent Morning Consult poll in which 42% of respondents believe “most protesters (associated with the BLM movement) are trying to incite violence or destroy property.” ACLED suggests this “disparity stems from political orientation and biased media framing… such as disproportionate coverage of violent demonstrations.”

The decline of the middle class started under Saint Ronald Reagan.

Taxes are only one part of the problem. Another thing that enters into the equation is the disappearance of manufacturing jobs and the shift to a service oriented economy. And it's not just the change in the types of jobs that are available that is to blame, it's the drastic reduction in the number of workers represented by unions. Union jobs help raise pay for everyone. And again, it was during Reagan that the number of private sector union workers began a drastic decline.

Finally, there's one more thing that has to be considered when looking at our problem with income inequality -- the federal minimum wage. In the 20 years before Reagan's first day in office, the minimum wage was raised 10 times. In the almost 37 years since he became president, it has been raised seven times. And, given Republican hostility to it, there is no increase anywhere on the horizon.

Woodward and Bernstein used Anonymous sources.

The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg told CNN's "Reliable Sources" on Sunday that he expects "more confirmation and new pieces of information" to come out in the coming days and weeks that will corroborate his story about alleged incendiary comments President Trump made about the military.

The big picture: Reporters from the AP, Washington Post and Fox News are among those who have confirmed aspects of Goldberg's story, which has been vehemently denied by the White House. The story alleges, among other things, that Trump attacked the intelligence of soldiers who died in war, calling them "suckers" and "losers."

What he's saying: Goldberg addressed his use of anonymous sources, which has come under criticism from the president and others who believe that officials should not be allowed to launch bombshell allegations under the cloak of anonymity, especially in the midst of an election campaign.

"I felt confident publishing it because I had multiple sources with firsthand knowledge of the president's views and comments," Goldberg said. "That's the only reason to publish anything."
"The formula is simple. What you do is you have to say, does the public's right to know or need to know a particular piece of information outweigh the morally complicated and ambiguous qualities of anonymous sourcing," he continued.
"Most of us, most of the time, don't rely on anonymous sourcing for most things because there are difficulties there. But in this climate, with information that we judge the voters to need, we are going to use anonymous sources because we think the public has a right to know. Especially when you have four or five or six sources, primary sources, corroborating sources, telling you the same thing."

This is exactly what I was saying, when Scott A**hole was spreading false information about the coronavirus pandemic. These are educated people, not racist rodent bastards!

Top Republicans are seeking to downplay the heavy toll of the coronavirus, in part by pointing to a conspiracy theory that the number of deaths is much lower.

President Trump, along with Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Rep. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), who are both in competitive Senate races, have all pointed in recent days to the widely debunked theory that COVID-19 deaths in the United States total just 10,000 instead of the more than 180,000 recorded by health officials.

The speculative remarks come at a time when about 1,000 people a day are dying from the virus, providing a grim backdrop to the final sprint to Election Day. Trump, meanwhile, has been trying to project an optimistic message, frequently pointing to rapid progress toward a vaccine and saying he thinks the virus is “going away.”

The Trump administration has also increasingly emphasized protecting vulnerable populations such as the elderly rather than putting a focus on a broader strategy of trying to suppress the disease overall.

The discredited theory in question points to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) webpage stating that the coronavirus was listed as the sole cause for only 6 percent of deaths from the virus. However, that does not mean the other 94 percent of people did not die from the coronavirus. Instead, it means that another factor directly caused by the coronavirus, such as respiratory failure, was also listed or that there was an underlying condition, such as obesity or diabetes, that is not necessarily fatal on its own but heightens the risks from the coronavirus._

A Fox News reporter staunchly defended her work Saturday after President Donald Trump demanded she be fired for confirming parts of The Atlantic’s bombshell story revealing the president’s insults about military service members.

“I can tell you that my sources are unimpeachable,” Fox News’ national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin said on-air (in the video above). “I feel very confident with what we have reported at Fox.”

She didn’t confirm “every line” of the report, but did confirm “most of the descriptions and the quotes in that Atlantic article ... so I feel very confident in my reporting,” Griffin said. She also discovered as part of her reporting that Trump had once said that including “wounded guys” would not be a “good look” at a Fourth of July parade honoring the military, according to a source.

The Atlantic article cited multiple accounts of shocking incidents when Trump denigrated military service members, including referring to fallen war heroes as “losers” and “suckers.” It also revealed details of the president’s refusal to visit the graves of America’s war dead at Aisne-Marne Cemetery while he was in France in 2018. Trump has denied everything.

Fallen Soldier Insults Give Trump a Lot to Fear
Bloomberg
Cass R. Sunstein

The White House has powerful reasons to fear the electoral repercussions of reported comments by President Donald Trump in which he is alleged to have described fallen soldiers as “suckers” and “losers.” Those comments threaten his most important political advantage.

To see why, we need to back up a bit. Jonathan Haidt, a social scientist at New York University, has specified some of the central differences between conservatives and liberals. He identified five foundations for moral judgments: harm, fairness, loyalty, authority and sanctity.

Both the right and the left care about harm and fairness, even if they do not understand them the same way. But the right cares far more about loyalty, authority and sanctity.

A mountain of evidence supports this conclusion. If, for example, people have been disloyal to their nation or their family, shown disrespect to their superiors, or done something disgusting, conservatives will be far more likely to show outrage. If you ask Americans how much they would have to be paid to burn their nation’s flag, or to curse their parents to their face, people on the left might demand a lot of money. But people on the right will demand more, and they might say that no amount is high enough.

Building on Haidt’s work, Harvard economist Benjamin Enke has studied the rhetoric of numerous recent presidential candidates, and found that one has done better than all others in emphasizing loyalty, authority and sanctity: Trump. On the same scales, Hillary Clinton was especially bad. (Barack Obama was far better.) Enke also found that Trump’s emphasis on these values mattered to many voters, and attracted them to his side.

This framework helps sort out what many people consider to be a puzzle: Trump avoided military service, has been married three times, and has not exactly been a paragon of virtue in his personal life. Yet many people focused on patriotism, religious faith and traditional moral values have strongly supported him. A key reason is that however he has lived his life, he speaks their language — and indeed does so at least as well as, and probably better than, any presidential candidate they have heard before.

That’s why his reported expressions of contempt and disrespect for American soldiers threaten to be uniquely damaging — far more so than other outrageous comments he has made.
When he said that Mexico is sending rapists to the U.S.,
made fun of the looks of prominent women,
mocked disabled people,
or said that protesters should be roughed up,
people might have nodded or cringed, or laughed or been appalled.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

As a matter of pure politics, though, saying that soldiers are “losers” or “suckers” is much worse for Trump because it attacks the foundation of his appeal: However he lives his life, at least he expresses deep love for this country and reverence for those who fight for it, and at least he speaks out for traditional moral values.

There are strong lessons here for both Trump and his Democratic challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden. Through both word and deed, the president needs to do whatever he can to make it clear that he respects and supports American soldiers.

To be sure, many of his supporters will accept his denial that he ever made those hateful statements. But even if they do, there will be a question in some part of their minds. That’s a problem for him. He has repair work to do.

For his part, Biden has been handed a golden opportunity. His deceased son, Beau Biden, won a Bronze Star medal for his Army service in Iraq. Beau’s father is able to speak of patriotism with clarity and conviction. More than any recent presidential hopeful on the Democratic side, he is in an excellent position to emphasize the importance of loyalty, authority and sanctity — and potentially to outflank Trump on those issues.

There is a larger point. Many observers, especially on the left, are puzzled to see that people support Republicans, and Trump in particular, even when it doesn’t seem to be in their interest to do so. What they miss is that many millions of voters care deeply about values to which Democrats seem relatively indifferent.

Trump has given Democrats a golden chance to show that they really aren’t — and that they cherish those values too.

MORE STRAIGHT TALK FROM THE ATLANTIC:

The end of summer is a bitter reminder:
America’s coronavirus ordeal and misery won’t end when 2020 does.

by Juliette Kayyem
Former Department of Homeland Security official and author of Security Mom

The new year will inherit many of the same problems that have become so grindingly familiar in 2020.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention got some Americans’ hopes up with its recent instruction that states should be ready to distribute a coronavirus vaccine in the next couple of months. President Donald Trump is desperate to convince the public that a vaccine to COVID-19 will arrive by a politically convenient deadline: “maybe even before November 1,” he said Friday, or “some time in the month of October.”

But Trump’s Operation Warp Speed is an election ploy, not a guarantee of scientific progress. Drug companies that are competing to develop vaccines are banding together to resist political pressure to take shortcuts in safety testing. On NPR Thursday, Moncef Slaoui, the chief scientific adviser to Operation Warp Speed, said that an effective vaccine by the end of next month is “extremely unlikely” and that population-wide distribution of a vaccine could take until the middle of next year.

In other words, the American coronavirus crisis will end ---- just not soon. “With a combination of public-health measures with a vaccine that’s reasonably good,” the infectious-diseases expert Anthony Fauci told me in a recent online interview, “by the time we get around through 2021, we can start having some form of normality. Maybe not exactly the way it was, but certainly different than what we’re doing right now.” Fauci’s prediction is based on the best-case scenario in which, “as we get into 2021, we should start seeing a substantial number of [vaccine] doses available.”

Hello,
I am writing this to a number of you. Some, because we agree on many things, some because we agree on nothing.
I’m going to be quite selfish here, because I just need to talk. I do however, welcome your feedback.
My father, a 20 year Navy veteran joined the Navy in 1937. He wasn’t drafted but wanted to serve and support an ideal that was bigger than he was. He served in WWII and the Korean War. He served on the ship Bobolink, among others.
World War II operations
In September 1940, Bobolink joined the Train, Base Force, United States Fleet, at Pearl Harbor. She remained there until September 1942. Bobolink was present during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, laying in dock next to six destroyers near the district HQ. Following the attack, she served as a salvage vessel and minesweeper.
He was not a loser nor a sucker.
My cousin served in Viet Nam. He made it out alive, but soon died from the effects of Agent Orange. He wasn’t drafted either. I, as I’m sure you have many other friends who perished in that war. He, nor they were losers.
My nephew and another cousin are also retired military. Each serving at least 20 years. We should thank them, not call them names.
My husband also served in the Army in White House Communications. He served under presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter. He told me he had respect for both of them. Does that make him a sucker?
My daughter, right after high school decided to join the Army. She was sent to the conflict in the Middle East. She started as a forward support medic, even treating little Iraqi children who were injured. She served for 17 years; leaving the service with the rank of Captain. Our Commander in Chief thinks she is a sucker.
We now have a Commander in Chief who calls those who serve, Suckers. He calls those who died losers. I’m still astounded that we didn’t get rid of him when he spoke so horribly about John McCain. That man was tortured for a number of years and still came back and served in the US Senate. It makes no difference what party he supported, he supported us. As an aside, he was a Republican I would have voted for…..well, except for that Sarah Palin thing…but I digress.

I have tried over and over to understand why you think this man can run the country. My friends, he can’t. When I see Americans all dressed up in the American flag (my dad said it was not American to wear the flag), carrying a weapon it scares the crap out of me.
My friends, or not. After all we’ve heard (not just Rachel Maddow) even recently from Fox News, we’ve got a real problem here. If you are not familiar with world history, take a look at the game plan Hitler had for Germany.
Thanks for letting me rant. I will stay out of your way. Just wanted to tell you that …
I’m fuc***g pissed off.
If you love your country, VOTE BLUE
And a lot of us are still waiting for an explanation of why you would support this man.

“Dear White Evangelicals,
I need to tell you something: People have had it with you.
They’re done.
They want nothing to do with you any longer, and here’s why:
They see your hypocrisy, your inconsistency, your incredibly selective mercy, and your thinly veiled supremacy.

For eight years they watched you relentlessly demonize a black President; a man faithfully married for 26 years; a doting father and husband without a hint of moral scandal or the slightest whiff of infidelity.

They watched you deny his personal faith convictions, argue his birthplace, and assail his character—all without cause or evidence. They saw you brandish Scriptures to malign him and use the laziest of racial stereotypes in criticizing him.

And through it all, White Evangelicals—you never once suggested that God placed him where he was,
you never publicly offered prayers for him and his family,
you never welcomed him to your Christian Universities,
you never gave him the benefit of the doubt in any instance,
you never spoke of offering him forgiveness or mercy,
your evangelists never publicly thanked God for his leadership,
your pastors never took to the pulpit to offer solidarity with him,
you never made any effort to affirm his humanity or show the love of Jesus to him in any quantifiable measure.

You violently opposed him at every single turn—without offering a single ounce of the grace you claim as the heart of your faith tradition. You jettisoned Jesus as you dispensed damnation on him.

And yet you give carte blanche to a white Republican man so riddled with depravity, so littered with extramarital affairs, so unapologetically vile, with such a vast resume of moral filth—that the mind boggles.

And the change in you is unmistakable. It has been an astonishing conversion to behold: a being born again.

With him, you suddenly find religion.
With him, you’re now willing to offer full absolution.
With him, all is forgiven without repentance or admission.
With him you’re suddenly able to see some invisible, deeply buried heart.
With him, sin has become unimportant, compassion no longer a requirement.
With him, you see only Providence.

And White Evangelicals, all those people who have had it with you—they see it all clearly.

They recognize the toxic source of your inconsistency.

They see that pigmentation and party are your sole deities.
They see that you aren’t interested in perpetuating the love of God or emulating the heart of Jesus.
They see that you aren’t burdened to love the least, or to be agents of compassion, or to care for your Muslim, gay, African, female, or poor neighbors as yourself.
They see that all you’re really interested in doing, is making a God in your own ivory image and demanding that the world bow down to it.
They recognize this all about white, Republican Jesus—not dark-skinned Jesus of Nazareth.

And I know you don’t realize it, but you’re digging your own grave in these days; the grave of your very faith tradition.

Your willingness to align yourself with cruelty is a costly marriage. Yes, you’ve gained a Supreme Court seat, a few months with the Presidency as a mouthpiece, and the cheap high of temporary power—but you’ve lost a whole lot more.

You’ve lost an audience with millions of wise, decent, good-hearted, faithful people with eyes to see this ugliness.
You’ve lost any moral high ground or spiritual authority with a generation.
You’ve lost any semblance of Christlikeness.
You’ve lost the plot.
And most of all you’ve lost your soul.

I know it’s likely you’ll dismiss these words. The fact that you’ve even made your bed with such malevolence, shows how far gone you are and how insulated you are from the reality in front of you.

But I had to at least try to reach you. It’s what Jesus would do.”

Obama’s ‘Biggest Mistake’ Is Still Wreaking Havoc

Last month in Mali, an African nation twice the size of Texas, military rebels overthrew the government. It was the kind of event that Americans barely notice: another coup in another distant country where people can’t find ways to live together. The truth is more damning. This coup was not the result of personal rivalries or “ancient hatreds.” Instability in Mali, and across North Africa, is a long-term result of the NATO attack on Libya in 2011.

That attack, in which the United States played a key role, may now be ranked among the most recklessly self-defeating military interventions of the 21st century. It was sold as “humanitarian intervention,” but wound up producing a human rights disaster. It turned Libya, once one of the most stable and prosperous countries in Africa, into a failed state and breeding ground for terror. In nearby countries, it has nourished a generation of murderous militias. The coup in Mali shows that after-effects of the Libya attack are still reverberating.

Libya’s leader, Muammar Qaddafi, had been a thorn in America’s side for decades. He had aided terrorists, including those who blew up an airliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988. In his later years, though, he came out of the political cold. Under an agreement painstakingly negotiated by the George W. Bush administration, Libya paid $1.7 billion to a fund for victims of Lockerbie and other terror attacks.

This is what we will return to if Joe Biden is elected, only worst.

Those facts don't change no matter who is president

Sure wonder whether this affect the current status in SC with Lindsey turning into a subservient trump sucker and accepting everything trump says and does without question?????

etty/Chip Somodevilla

A five-year-old tweet from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is getting renewed attention amid reports that President Donald Trump once disparaged dead American soldiers as "losers" and "suckers."

The tweet in question came shortly after Trump attacked the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for getting captured and tortured by enemy forces during the Vietnam War, and it slammed the future president for showing no appreciation for the sacrifices made by service members.

"At the heart of [Trump's] statement is a lack of respect for those who have served," he wrote. "A disqualifying characteristic to be president."

In the years since the tweet, however, Graham has evolved to become one of Trump's most loyal defenders, despite the fact that the president has continued attacking McCain even after his passing in 2018.

The @petestrzok also says the Steele dossier “didn’t talk...much about Paul Manafort” when the central dossier allegation is that Manafort ran the Collusion conspiracy. So he’s either lying or getting it wrong, kinda like the FISA he helped with

Strozk interview in @TheAtlantic: “The Steele report...It didn’t talk...much about Paul Manafort”

Steele dossier:
“there was a well-developed conspiracy of co-operation between [the Trump campaign] and the Russian leadership. This was managed on the TRUMP side by...campaign manager Paul MANAFORT”

FISA: The same wording about Manafort and a “well-developed conspiracy of co-operation” between Trump campaign members and “the Russian leadership” is literally cut and pa

There are the receipts. Those are the facts. The actual documents that anyone can look up for themselves.

Real journalists should challenge Strzok’s claims, because they’re 100% false

No amount of spin, interviews or books are ever going to change those facts.

THREAD with DOCUMENTS:

So Strzok conducted the Clinton interview, and the FBI Trump/Russian collusion team, was one of two agents who interviewed Flynn, and was on the Mueller special counsel team before his damning precious text messages came out. Quite impressive. Must have been one of Obama's "right people". Too bad Mueller "lost" Strzok's phone while on that team.

And now he is saying Manafort was just a bit player when earlier he was central.

Kind of looks like Strzok is central to something else.

It was scam! It was scam! He pressured his employees to contribute their wages !

Although it can be permissible to encourage employees to make donations, reimbursing them for those contributions is a violation of North Carolina and federal election laws. Known as a straw-donor scheme, the practice allows donors to evade individual contribution limits and obscures the true source of money used to influence elections.

Such federal violations carry a five-year statute of limitations. There is no statute of limitations in North Carolina for felonies, including campaign finance violations.

Kind of like when planned parenthood receives hundreds of millions of dollars from the federal government and then contributes tens of millions back to the Democrat party.

Or government labor unions doing basically the same.

Just the GOP fundraising was in a much smaller scale, right?

Both should be illegal.

Trump Has Long History of Disparaging Military Service
September 6, 2020 at 11:04 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

Washington Post: “Long before Trump’s views of the military would emerge as a flash point in his 2020 reelection campaign — before he would shock the political world with the more widely seen 2015 attack on McCain, in which he said the senator was ‘not a war hero’ and declared, ‘I like people who weren’t captured’ — Trump had a long track record of incendiary and disparaging remarks about veterans and military service.

“Many of his remarks are memorialized in television interviews and the tapes of radio conversations with shock jocks, dating to his years as a private citizen and businessman.”

so yes, let's vote by mail. a splendid idea. -

Piles of mail were found in two separate locations in Glendale Thursday morning, including one incident where a rented truck was captured on surveillance video dumping bags of unopened letters and packages in the parking lot of a business.

The first incident was reported at 7:30 a.m., in the 1000 block of Allen Avenue, according to Glendale Police Department Sgt. Christian Hauptmann.

Roughly two hours later, police received another call regarding dumped mail, this time behind a business in the 1600 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Hauptmann.

It was the second reported incident — outside 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics — where surveillance video captured the moment a rented truck dumped bags of unopened mail and took off.

“It happened early in the morning, 5:40, and it was a Budget rental — big truck — that backed up to the parking lot. And they’re like, slowly, one by one, they’re dropping the packages,” Lilia Serobian, one of the medical spa’s owners, told KTLA.

She said the “huge pile” contained various size of packages — all of it U.S. mail.

LOL.

New York beachgoers were greeted with what appears to be a grim anti-Cuomo banner in the sky Saturday.

“THE GOV KILLED NANA,” read the banner carried on a propeller plane that flew across New York City and Long Island beaches, according to accounts on social media.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been widely criticized for his handling of the state-regulated nursing homes, where at least 6,447 New Yorkers died during the health crisis.

One Rockaway beachgoer told The Post the plane flew by around 4 p.m. as observers stopped to take pictures and applauded the message.

“The people were going crazy,” the beachgoer said. “[Cuomo] is nothing but a liar, condescending and miserable person. His carelessness caused the death of a lot of people unnecessarily.”

Trump Casts Himself as Defender of White America
September 6, 2020 at 11:01 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 107 Comments

“After a summer when hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets protesting racial injustice against Black Americans, President Trump has made it clear over the last few days that, in his view, the country’s real race problem is bias against white Americans,” the New York Times reports.

“Not in generations has a sitting president so overtly declared himself the candidate of white America. While Mr. Trump’s campaign sought to temper the culture war messaging at the Republican National Convention last month by showcasing Black and Hispanic supporters who denied that he is a racist, the president himself has increasingly made appeals to the grievances of white supporters a centerpiece of his campaign to win a second term.”

TRUMP and Allies Ratchet Up Disinformation
September 6, 2020 at 9:56 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

Washington Post:
“For the president and his top supporters, it was a campaign push brimming with disinformation — disseminating falsehoods and trafficking in obfuscation at a rapid clip, through the use of selectively edited videos, deceptive retweets and false statements.

“The slew of false and misleading tweets and videos stood in contrast to the approach taken by Biden who in 2019 took a pledge promising not to participate in the spread of disinformation over social media,
including rejecting the use of ‘deep fake’ videos.”

TRUMP IS NOTHING BUT DEEP FAKE.

Several officials said any state investigation would start with the State Board of Elections, and could wind up in the hands of either the district attorney in Guilford County, Where New Breed was headquartered, or the district attorney in Wake County, where the SBE is located. The SBE has not yet commented publicly on the allegations.

At the very least, these allegations dump fuel on the political fire surrounding DeJoy, which started over suspicions that he is conducting Postal Service business in a way that benefits President Trump.

Sad how true this is.......going to soon be the party of back benchers!!!!! BWAAAAAAA!!!!

ew York Times)
WASHINGTON — After a summer when hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets protesting racial injustice against Black Americans, President Donald Trump has made it clear over the last few days that, in his view, the country’s real race problem is bias against white Americans.

Just days after returning from Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he staunchly backed law enforcement and did not mention the name of Jacob Blake, the Black man shot seven times in the back by police, Trump issued an order Friday to purge the federal government of racial sensitivity training that his White House called “divisive, anti-American propaganda.”

The president then spent much of the weekend tweeting about his action, presenting himself as a warrior against identity politics. “This is a sickness that cannot be allowed to continue,” he wrote of such programs. “Please report any sightings so we can quickly extinguish!” He reposted a tweet from a conservative outlet hailing his order: “Sorry liberals! How to be Anti-White 101 is permanently cancelled!”

Not in generations has a sitting president so overtly declared himself the candidate of white America. While Trump’s campaign sought to temper the culture war messaging at the Republican National Convention last month by showcasing Black and Hispanic supporters who denied that he is a racist, the president himself has increasingly made appeals to the grievances of white supporters a centerpiece of his campaign to win a second term.

The message appears designed to galvanize supporters who have cheered what they see as a defiant stand against political correctness since the days when he kicked off his last presidential campaign in 2015 by denouncing, without evidence, Mexicans crossing the border as “rapists.” While he initially voiced concern over the killing of George Floyd under the knee of a white police officer in Minneapolis this spring, which touched off nationwide protests, he has focused since then almost entirely on defending the police and condemning demonstrations during which there have been outbreaks of looting and violence.
