The Republican party chose a useful idiot.

A pandemic never occurred to them. The idea that Donald Trump would ever be required to sit still, pay attention and make rational decisions that would determine whether hundreds of thousands of Americans would live or die not once crossed the minds of those who put him into the Oval Office.

Oh, they all had their various reasons for wanting him there. For white evangelical Christians, he had explicitly promised to appoint the federal judges they had so longed for to turn back the nation’s cultural clock. For Mitch McConnell, a Trump win — as unlikely as it seemed — was the only real path to making sure Republicans retained control of the Senate and he himself remained majority leader. And for Vladimir Putin, having Trump in the White House — as unlikely as it seemed — would be a dream come true, an opportunity to wreak havoc on his longtime adversary and weaken its historic alliance with Western Europe.

Trump Called Evangelical Christianity 'Bullshit,' Privately Mocked Evangelicals As Gullible: Michael Cohen

The Gaily Grind StaffSeptember 5, 2020
President Trump’s longtime lawyer and personal fixer, Michael Cohen, alleges in a new book that Trump privately mocked Evangelicals and called Christianity “bullshit.”

In the book, “Disloyal: A Memoir,” which was obtained by The Washington Post ahead of its Tuesday publication date, Cohen writes that before winning the presidency, Trump held a meeting at Trump Tower with prominent evangelical leaders, where they laid their hands on him in prayer.

Afterward, Trump allegedly said: “Can you believe that bulls–t? Can you believe people believe that bulls–t?”

“The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swathe of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being,” Cohen writes. “The truth was that he couldn’t care less.”

Cohen also depicts Trump as being crude toward women, including inadvertently commenting on Cohen’s then-15-year-old daughter as she finished up a tennis lesson: “Look at that piece of a–,” Trump said, according to Cohen. “I would love some of that.”

A vast majority don't believe your spin on the death of innocent people like George Floyd.

The spin is the Hennepin county coroner's report that basically said George Floyd was dead man walking before he was arrested. Whether the police significantly contributed to that is up to a jury.

But I wouldn't hold my breath. Because ultimately the "vast majority" doesn't matter. It is up to 12 men and women to decide the case beyond reasonable doubt.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

From the book by his former lawyer

Trump loved Putin, Cohen wrote, because the Russian leader had the ability “to take over an entire nation and run it like it was his personal company — like the Trump Organization, in fact.”

He describes Trump insulting and dismissing some of his children, including Donald Trump Jr., his eldest son, and Tiffany, his youngest daughter.

Cohen writes that during the 2016 campaign, Trump was dismissive of minorities, describing them as “not my people.” “I will never get the Hispanic vote,” Cohen recounts Trump claiming. “Like the blacks, they’re too stupid to vote for Trump.”

Cohen describes Trump’s obsessive hatred of Obama, including claiming that the only reason the former president got into Columbia University and Harvard Law School was because of “f---ing affirmative action.” He also recounts Trump’s “low opinion of all black folks.” claiming that Trump once said while ranting about Obama, “Tell me one country run by a black person that isn’t a s---hole. They are all complete f---ing toilets.”

After South African President Nelson Mandela died in 2013, Trump said he did not think Mandela “was a real leader — not the kind he respected,” Cohen writes.

Instead, Cohen writes that Trump praised the country’s apartheid-era White rule, saying: “Mandela f---ed the whole country up. Now it’s a s---hole. F--- Mandela. He was no leader.”

Cohen writes that before winning the presidency, Trump held a meeting at Trump Tower with prominent evangelical leaders, where they laid their hands on him in prayer. Afterward, Trump allegedly said: “Can you believe that bulls--t? Can you believe people believe that bulls--t?”

Whether it’s telling security guards at his rallies to “rough up” protesters, encouraging police to stop being “too nice” when making arrests, or offering to pay legal fees for an assault suspect, there’s nothing Trump likes so much as seeing people get beaten. Other people, of course. Trump has regularly encouraged not just violence of the batons and fists variety, he’s also directly responsible for encouraging people to go out and commit murder in his name. That’s been particularly true in Trump’s support of violence as a means of both distracting from his failure in the coronavirus crisis and his attempts to derail the Black Lives Matter movement.

while democrats seek to destroy everything in sight, normal people quietly go about their business doing things like this:

In mid-June of 2018, Amanda Connick, the group tour specialist for the North Platte / Lincoln County Visitors Bureau received a call from Cline Tours. The motorcoach charter company would be transporting 700 troops from training in Wyoming back to their base in Arkansas and they needed a lunch stop that could feed them all and get them back on the buses in an hour.

Just the words “700 service men and women passing through” sparked an idea. Yes, a restaurant could be found to provide for this need, but this is North Platte, and North Platte doesn’t just let troops come through without recognition for their sacrifice. Why not take this opportunity to do something special?

Business organizations, churches, service clubs and individuals were all enlisted to help. In just three days following confirmation of the event, everything was in place. A location was secured, school children made signs, bags of goodies to send with the troops were prepared, and volunteers were scheduled. And the food… of course the food!

The astonishment of the young men and women as they stepped off the buses, the cheers from the townspeople, the warmth and hospitality that greeted them, the smiles, tears, laughter, hugs and handshakes, the good food they shared, all were as it had been more than 70 years ago. In two days hundreds of volunteers greeted 700 service men and women. Much like the quick 10-minute stop in the 1940’s, these soldiers had a short time in North Platte. One, two or three buses would stop, and the troops would stream into the Canteen Revival, spend an hour and then they would be on their way.

The fact that you would ignore the lab reports, toxicology reports, and the amended report from the coroner, where he admits that this evidence points to an overdose... and ignore your pledge as a jurist and convict four police officers of murder because of politics.

Is why I know you are a hateful person who sees everything through the lens of your hateful mean and spiteful politics.

Biden Defends Lead Against Trump’s Onslaught
September 6, 2020 at 7:41 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

New York Times:
“Private polls conducted for both parties during and after their August conventions found the race largely stable but tightening slightly in some states, with Mr. Trump recovering some support from conservative-leaning rural voters who had drifted away over the summer amid the worsening pandemic.

"Yet Mr. Biden continues to enjoy advantages with nearly every other group, especially in populous areas where the virus remains at the forefront for voters, according to people briefed on the data.

“No president has entered Labor Day weekend — the traditional kickoff of the fall campaign — as such a clear underdog since George Bush in 1992 [when he was soundly defeated by Bill Clinton].

"Mr. Trump has not led in public polls in such must-win states as Florida since Mr. Biden claimed the nomination in April, and there has been little fluctuation in the race. Still, the president’s surprise win in 2016 weighs heavily in the thinking of nervous Democrats and hopeful Republicans alike.”

Washington Post:
“At the traditional Labor Day kickoff to the fall campaign, the race remains former vice president Joe Biden’s to lose — which of course could still happen.

"Trump has tried many things over the past months in an effort to avoid becoming a one-term president. So far, nothing has proved to be the magic potion the president seems to believe is out there.”

indeed.

to me, the most effective type of police reform would be for police to completely ignore the black communities.

when police respond to calls in those communities it rarely ends well, they're met with hatred and derision, and in cities run by democrats it's the cops most likely to end up in jail.

LEO's would be wise to let 911 calls from these communities go unanswered. it provides those places with what they most desire - no police.

Cohen Says Trump Sought Help from Russia
September 5, 2020 at 8:56 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

President Trump’s longtime lawyer and personal fixer, Michael Cohen, alleges in a new book that Trump made “overt and covert attempts to get Russia to interfere in the 2016 election” and that the future commander in chief was also well aware of Cohen’s hush-money payoff to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during that campaign, the Washington Post reports.

In the book, Cohen lays out an alarming portrait of the constellation of characters orbiting around Trump, likening the arrangement to the mafia and calling himself “one of Trump’s bad guys.” He describes the president, meanwhile, as “a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man.”

The memoir also describes episodes of Trump’s alleged racism and his “hatred and contempt” of his predecessor, Barack Obama, the nation’s only African American president.

Disloyal: A Memoir: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump
Cohen, Michael (Author)
09/08/2020 (Publication Date)

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Cohen's tell-all memoir makes the case that President Donald Trump is “guilty of the same crimes” that landed his former fixer in federal prison, offering a blow-by-blow account of Trump's alleged role in a hush money scandal that once overshadowed his presidency.

Of all the crises Cohen confronted working for Trump, none proved as vexing as the porn actress Stormy Daniels and her claims of an extramarital affair with Trump, Cohen writes in “Disloyal: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump.”

Trump, despite his later protestations, green-lighted the $130,000 payment to silence Daniels ahead of the 2016 election, reasoning he would “have to pay” his wife a far greater sum if the affair ever became known, [OBOY!] Cohen writes, adding the president later reimbursed him with “fake legal fees.”

“It never pays to settle these things, but many, many friends have advised me to pay,” Trump said, according to Cohen. "If it comes out, I’m not sure how it would play with my supporters. But I bet they’d think it’s cool that I slept with a porn star.”

The White House called Cohen's memoir “fan fiction."

“He readily admits to lying routinely but expects people to believe him now so that he can make money from book sales,” White House spokesman Brian Morgenstern said in a statement. "It’s unfortunate that the media is exploiting this sad and desperate man to attack President Trump.”

The Associated Press obtained an early copy of the book, which is scheduled to be released Tuesday.

Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations and other crimes, including lying to Congress, calls himself the “star witness” of a hush-money conspiracy that still could culminate in charges for Trump after he leaves office. He described his new book as a “fundamental piece of evidence” of the president's guilt.

Cohen's allegations — his most detailed to date — are part of an unsparing and deeply personal put-down of Trump. Cohen assails Trump as an “organized crime don” and “master manipulator,” but allows that he saw much of himself in a man he once considered a father figure.

“I care for Donald Trump, even to this day," Cohen writes, “and I had and still have a lot of affection for him.”

Cohen remains at a loss to explain his unswerving allegiance to a cutthroat businessman who abandoned him at the most vulnerable point in his life. He likens his fealty to Trump to a mental illness and said he thought of himself as acting like a drug user in need of an intervention.

“It seemed to (my family) that I wouldn’t listen to anyone, not even the people who loved me most, as I gradually gave up control of my mind to Trump,” Cohen writes.

“I confess I never really did understand why pleasing Trump meant so much to me,” Cohen adds. “To this day I don’t have the full answer.”

The memoir offers an introspective — and at times self-loathing — apology for the role Cohen played in Trump's political ascent. He urged Trump for years to run for president but now laments that his election “led the nation and maybe even the world to the brink of disaster.”

“I thought Trump was a visionary with a no-nonsense attitude and the charisma to attract all kinds of voters," he writes. But the real reason he wanted Trump in the White House, Cohen concedes, "was because I wanted the power that he would bring to me.”

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Cohen expresses little to no remorse for his federal crimes, saying he was “railroaded” by the government and pleaded guilty after prosecutors threatened to indict his wife.

He writes that Trump’s three oldest children came to Cohen's office after Trump’s campaign announcement in 2015, in which Trump referred to people coming to the U.S. from Mexico as rapists and murderers. Cohen says they asked him to convince their father to drop out of the race, arguing his rhetoric was “killing the company.”

Cohen says Trump was unconcerned with any harm to his businesses. “Plus, I will never get the Hispanic vote,” Trump said, according to Cohen. “Like the blacks, they’re too stupid to vote for Trump. They’re not my people.”

Cohen returns to Trump’s treatment of women throughout the book.

He describes the married Trump ogling contestants at his Miss Universe pageant and boasting he could “have all of them” if he wanted. He also claimed to have seen Trump corner and forcibly kiss women at his office.

In a far more personal episode, Cohen writes of Trump leering at Cohen’s then-15-year-old daughter at Trump’s New Jersey golf club in 2012. Cohen writes that when he told Trump that it was his daughter, Trump replied: “When did she get so hot?”

Cohen also sheds light on Trump’s admiration of Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he admired him most because he “had the balls to take over an entire nation and run it like it was his personal company.” [AND THAT'S HOW TRUMP HAS BEEN TRYING TO "RUN" AMERICA AND ENDS UP RUINING IT.] But he added that Trump’s campaign had been “far too chaotic and incompetent to actually conspire with the Russian government.”

Beyond his dealings with Trump, Cohen waxes nostalgic about experiences he says informed his fierce loyalty and attack-dog persona. The Long Island native, a Holocaust survivor's son, writes of rubbing shoulders with mobsters at his uncle's club, where he worked as a teen. After witnessing a poolside shooting, he says he felt a duty to keep quiet. A few days later, he writes, a tough-looking fellow handed him an envelope stuffed with $500 cash..

Cohen has led a publicity blitz around his memoir even as he serves his federal sentence in home confinement. A judge ruled this summer that authorities had retaliated against him, sending him back to prison in upstate New York after he was furloughed because of the coronavirus pandemic, for publishing the book ahead of the November election.

Cohen was released to home confinement in July and the government lifted a ban on him speaking publicly.

“This story is all I have left for my wife, my children and the country I love so much,” Cohen writes.

But of course that's all just lies. The upstanding Trump would never have said those things.

"I'm Joe Biden and I approve this destruction:"

“This is my— was my business,” Tom Gram caught himself. He stood beside his wife, Irene, gesturing behind them to a mountain of rubble occupying the charred, brick shell of what once was. Rode’s Camera Shop.

The uptown Kenosha establishment, started as a family business in 1911 in the home of John Rode Sr. and since situated proudly on the corner of Roosevelt Road and 22nd Avenue, has been serving the community for the past 109 years. The store was owned by three generations of John Rodes before co-workers Tom Gram and Paul Willette bought the business to become co-owners in 2012.

Tom has been pouring his life into Rode’s for the past 41 years, having worked there since graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Forty-one years of investing his life, gone in one night.

[...]

“Everything,” Tom said when I asked if all his equipment was stored in this building. “Absolutely everything.” They had lost it all. After the efforts of three generations of Rodes, a 41-year partnership, and more than a century of business, a community cornerstone was gone, decimated in one night of lawlessness.

Cohen recounts Trump claiming.

“The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swathe of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being,” Cohen writes. “The truth was that he couldn’t care less.”

because democrats are losing and they know it.

look at what they've been reduced to - quoting a know liar like michael cohen.

LOL.

democrats have hitched their wagon to a drooling retard and a lying whore, and they're having a terrible time just accepting that fact.

slow joe drew a crowd in kenosha that wouldn't fill a short bus, while the traffic jam to see Trump in Latrobe PA was 10 miles long.

I was talking to a liberal democrat relative last night. He also thinks Biden has a touch of dementia, but Trump blah blah blah.

And he actually thinks Trump's job creation and wage growth was from obama. But he couldn't answer my argument that working class hourly wages rose 5.5% in 2019. That would be three years after obama left.

And he had no response when I pointed out that Trump's one time corporate tax rate reduction to repatriate overseas money was huge in the expansion of business I,investment and related job creation.

Like shooting fish in a barrel, debating liberal democrats in economics.

As an Iraq War Veteran, i admit, i am a loser. I’ve lost a lot. Friends to suicide and a brother in Afghanistan. I’ve lost thousands of hours of sleep and countless moments of peace to the demons of PTSD and Moral Injury. I've lost countless days to the anxiety and countless nights to the insomnia. I've lost my ability to live a normal and healthy life.
If you could count the value of all that I've lost in service of my country, you would, no doubt, cast me the loser.

I am also a sucker. I sucked pounds of toxins at those infamous burn pits. I sucked it up sitting at the VA, still these 15 years later, waiting for answers about the coughing and difficultly breathing. I’ve endured the suck of being a guinea pig to vaccine like Anthrax and now Covid. I've sucked down pill after pill from VA, trying to get my life back. If you add up all the things that have brought injury to my mind and body, you would definitively say it sucks.

I’m a disabled veteran of the war in Iraq... the second one...
