Joe Biden campaigned on a secret plan to stop Covid in its tracks. No such plan ever existed

A fourth wave is looming if US fails to contain COVID-19 variants, experts say

"I'm very worried we're letting our foot off the brakes," said Atul Gawande, a surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
The U.S. saw a spike in cases last spring, mainly in the Northeast, last summer in the South, and November through January pretty much everywhere. As the nation's death toll from COVID-19 approaches half a million people, public health experts said they dread the possibility of a fourth wave.
"We are done with it, but it is not done with us," added Dr. Luciana Borio, former acting chief scientist of the Food and Drug Administration.

Covid was the overwhelming reason why people voted for Joe Biden. Many felt that Trump "dropped the ball" in spite of providing any and all Federal assistance asked for and setting up Warp Speed which brought us a vaccine months ahead of schedule.

Joe Biden, of course, offered that he had a solution, not just to slow the virus, but to stop it. He never bothered to tell us what it was, and once elected he admitted that no such plan existed. It was all just a campaign stunt. Currently Biden is following the same course with the same experts using the same infrastructure that was already in place. The only thing that has changed is the lip service.

Currently we are averaging over 3200 deaths since Biden became President and we will probably see the 100,000th death under the Biden administration this weekend. In typical liberal fashion, what happened under Trump was 100% Trump's fault and what happens under Biden will no doubt be seen by these same liberals as still being Trump's fault. Because, logically, most liberals are just lacking.

But as we saw, as soon as Biden was President most of your blue state Governors decided to let up on the restrictions and open things back up. Contrary to the popular belief that this would bring Armageddon, the number of cases have been dropping, proving that lock downs only really locked down our economy and not the virus.

We're all hoping to not see a fourth wave, much less any more waves after that. More to the point, we need to stop resting on the laurels and continue to push other private companies to continue to work towards more vaccines, especially considering we don't know whether or not the current ones will work on the mutated virus.

It does feel a little like we have "turned the corner" in terms of moving on from Covid. People are sick and tired of lock downs, restrictions, etc. The press has not gone out of it's way to push Covid as a front page story now that Biden is responsible. But none of this has anything to do with the numbers. Even though they are falling from the peak we experienced over the past few weeks, the number of cases are still higher than they have been since last April.

The death rate is dropping rapidly.

We are getting over one million injections per day.

So far the new varieties of the virus was more contagious but the vaccine is extremely effective

Millions of Americans will have insurance coverage for the poor who need coverage

WHY THIS MATTERS

As of Jan. 26, 2021, eight states have been approved for work requirement waivers, seven have applications pending, and four are waiting for court decisions, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The move signals the new administration's intention to cut work requirements, which opponents say leads to lost coverage without improving employment.

In Arkansas, which was the first state to implement Medicaid work requirements, 18,000 adults lost coverage in the 10 months the policy was in effect before a federal judge put the policy on hold, according to research by Health Affairs. Additionally, it found that work requirements did not increase employment in Arkansas, and those who had lost coverage experienced adverse outcomes including medical debt, delayed care and inconsistent medication fulfillment.

The work requirements also present dangers to hospitals' bottom lines. Hospitals in states that implement Medicaid work requirements could see their Medicaid revenues decrease by as much as 21%, their uncompensated care costs increase as much as 133% and their operating margins fall by upward of 2%, according to estimates by The Commonwealth Fund.

THE LARGER TREND

CMS' action follows an executive order signed by President Biden in January that asks agencies to consider additional actions that could be taken to strengthen and protect healthcare access. The executive order also set up a special enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act and rescinded the Mexico City Policy, which bars foreign NGOs that offer abortion counseling or referrals from receiving funding from the U.S.

The Supreme Court also recently agreed to weigh in on the work requirement debate in Arkansas and New Hampshire. The Justices will decide whether the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia erred in concluding that the secretary of Health and Human Services may not authorize demonstration projects to test the work requirements to facilitate the transition of Medicaid beneficiaries to commercial coverage

VP Harris made the bogus claim yesterday that they had to start from scratch with vaccine distribution. This is false. The Trump admin was up to 1M per day. But 4he media and fact checkers made no effort to challenge or even question her lie.

The U.S. is working to vaccinate a high percentage of its population against COVID-19 as soon as possible to stop the spread of the disease and end the outbreak in the country.

The mission becomes even more urgent as coronavirus variants emerge around the world, raising concerns that the virus could evade our efforts to control it, if the spread is not curbed quickly.

Since vaccine distribution began in the U.S. on Dec. 14, more than 52 million doses have been administered, reaching 11.5% of the total U.S. population, according to federal data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The U.S. is currently administering over 1.6 million shots a day.

Seek medical attention if conditions persist.

1) Lashing out at Biden voters. Calling them stupid, unAmerican, idiots, cheaters, etc.

2) You're unable to accept the reality that Trump didn't win. You cling to any hairbrained video or audio that you saw on internet as proof that Biden didn't win.

3) You can't see the damage that Trump and his cabal are doing to our long history of a peaceful and orderly transition of power.

Before cheering on more congressional spending for COVID “relief,” the latest news out of Washington State may give you pause.

Your federal COVID “relief” dollars – $900 billion so far, with more on the way – are being spent by some states to fund far-Left political groups, such as The Bail Project—which, as its name suggests, doles out bail money—a soft-on-crime justice lobbying group. As I reported earlier in PJ Media, The Bail Project supports at least one antifa-related group.

In a story for My Northwest, Seattle radio talk host Jason Rantz reports that groups receiving the $12 million in federal COVID funds given to Washington State were required to be run by racial minorities.

Rantz reports that groups led by white people were not allowed to receive money.

Oregon, which has similar guidelines for disbursement, is currently the target of a class-action lawsuit for requiring an unconstitutional race test to receive federal dollars.

Groups that helped the entire swath of community members, but were led by white people, were not given priority for these funds. Rantz linked to a list of those groups, which one might assume would be helpful in divvying up the money for people hard hit by COVID. The groups not given money included an American Legion post, Alliance for Education, Big Brothers and Big Sisters groups, food banks, city ministries, museums, free clinics, and myriad others.

Which groups passed the race-based review? The Council on American Islamic Relations of Washington received $50,000. The Climate Justice Initiative also got some money.

We’re sure that the Seattle World Percussion Society is a great group, but how does giving it $25,000 help fight COVID again?

The Bail Project of Spokane received a $50,000 bail-out with the money indirectly used to post bail money for criminals, including a wife-beater, according to Rantz.

A lobbying group that advocates for lighter jail sentences got federal COVID dollars.

As you’ve likely divined by now, the groups that received funding appear to have gotten the money for political and not COVID reasons.

The House Democrats’ campaign arm has hired an ex-gangster-turned-high-profile criminal justice advocate for a top leadership position, The Post has learned.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, headed by Hudson Valley area Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, tapped Dyjuan Tatro as a senior adviser for diversity and inclusion.

Tatro is known for appearing in the 2019 PBS documentary series “College Behind Bars,” about a group of inmates trying to earn their degrees through New York state’s Bard Prison Initiative.

Through the program, Tatro got a bachelor’s degree while serving a six-year sentence for racketeering conspiracy.

At the time of that 2011 conviction, Tatro had already been doing time for shooting two rival gang members in 2006.

Described at the time as a “triggerman” for the Original Gangsta Killas street gang that terrorized Albany, Tatro confessed to the shootings, and to a “razor slashing” of another victim in 2002 as well as to dealing drugs.

He admitted to making at least $12,000 a month dealing drugs and conspired to traffic more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.

Tatro was freed in 2017 and has since become an advocate for increasing educational opportunities for inmates through BPI.

While in the program himself, Tatro was part of a three-inmate debate team from the Eastern New York Correctional Facility in the Catskills that famously defeated the Harvard undergraduate debate team, earning national headlines.

Republicans said Tatro’s hiring will reinforce criticism that Democrats are soft on crime.

“It’s certainly on-brand for criminal-coddling Democrats, but the rest of America will find it disturbing that a murderous gang member is holding a prominent position with the DCCC,” said New York state Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy.

Last Friday, Biden hosted a bipartisan group of local and state officials at the White House to discuss their most urgent concerns. “You folks are all on the front lines and dealing with the crisis since day one,” he told the group, which included the GOP governors of Maryland and Arkansas along with the Republican mayors of Miami and Oklahoma City. According to the Post, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez later told reporters that he’d had more communication with the Biden White House in the first several weeks of his administration than with Trump’s administration “in the entirety.”

The pain has not been spread evenly among states and locales, with those that rely more on tourism and fossil fuels typically taking a harder economic hit during the pandemic. But everyone’s budget has been impacted, according to Oklahoma City's Republican Mayor David Holt. “I don’t know of any city that hasn’t been affected negatively,” Holt said. “Some may be worse off than others. But we have all had to make cuts.”
rrb will call him a RINO

What the bipartisan group demonstrated more than anything is just how far out in the wilderness GOP lawmakers in Washington are in their criticism of the bill. Biden not only has the support of a number of cities and states run by Republicans, but an impressively broad spectrum of the American public.

It seems the only people carping about the so-called "blue state bailouts" is Washington Republicans, who used their power in 2017 to pass a costly $2 trillion tax giveaway to the rich. Today, most everyone else outside of congressional Republicans is both desperate and eager for the federal aid. SACRAMENTO – California remains ahead of its clean energy goals according to newly released data from the California Energy Commission (CEC).

The CEC estimates that in 2019, 36 percent of the state’s retail electricity sales were provided by Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS)-eligible sources such as solar and wind. That exceeds California’s 33 percent requirement of retail sales come from RPS-eligible sources by 2020.

When sources of carbon-free energy such as large hydroelectric generation and nuclear are included, 63 percent of the state’s electricity retail sales came from non-fossil fuel sources in 2019, according to the data.

“California’s Renewable Portfolio Standard is the cornerstone of our state’s climate policy portfolio, delivering essential greenhouse gas reductions and increasingly cleaner energy to every Californian,” said CEC Chair David Hochschild. “As we move to 100 percent clean electricity by mid-century, this success shows what’s possible and demonstrates that renewables are now mainstream and fossil fuels are now becoming the alternative energy.”

Electricity

Renewable resources, including hydropower and small-scale (less than 1-megawatt), customer-sited solar photovoltaics (PV), supplied almost half of California's in-state electricity generation in 2018. Natural gas-fired power plants fueled more than two-fifths.24 Nuclear power's share of state generation declined from almost one-fifth in 2011 to less than one-tenth in 2018, in large part because of the retirement of the San Onofre nuclear power plant in mid-2013, which left the state with only one operating commercial nuclear power plant—the two-reactor Diablo Canyon facility.25,26,27

California has the nation's second-largest conventional hydroelectric generating capacity after Washington state and is among the nation's top four hydropower producers.28,29 However, hydropower's contribution is highly variable. In 2015, because of prolonged drought, hydropower supplied only about 7% of California's net generation. In 2017, hydropower's share rebounded with increased precipitation, and hydroelectric power plants provided 21% of net generation. In 2018, hydropower's share was about 13%.30,31

Fluctuations in California's hydroelectric generation and the reduction in the state's nuclear capacity and generation have been largely offset by renewable generation. Non-hydroelectric renewable technologies, such as solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass, provided about three-tenths of the state's net generation from utility-scale (greater than 1-megawatt) facilities in 2018.32 There is only a small amount of coal-fired generation in California, and it is all from industrial cogeneration units.

In 2018, less than 0.2% of net generation in California was fueled by coal.

“Joe Biden will make his case for a $1.9 trillion stimulus plan directly to the public on his first official trip outside of Washington since becoming president in an attempt to pressure Congress into closing negotiations over the package,” the Financial Times reports.

“Biden’s planned visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesday follows the swift conclusion of the impeachment trial against Donald Trump…
The end of the proceedings will allow Biden to recapture the full attention of lawmakers for his economic agenda, which aims to combat the fallout from the pandemic with a massive new injection of government spending.”

How Republicans View Biden’s Relief Bill
8:05 am T. Goddard reports what the Punchbowl News says.

Punchbowl News: “After sometimes bitter debates and months of delays, Congress passed five key Covid relief bills last year with big bipartisan margins.

“Yet now with Joe Biden in the White House calling for another nearly $2 trillion in federal aid to ‘crush the virus’ and finally get the U.S. economy back on its feet, Republicans are balking.

“Senior House GOP lawmakers and aides tell us that it’s possible just a handful of Republicans — single digits, perhaps — will vote for the Biden proposal. The Budget Committee will consider it this week, and it’s expected on the floor next week.”

Bottom line:
“Republicans are adrift at the moment. The lowest common denominator to get back on the same page will be opposing Biden and his agenda — especially a package of this size. We saw them do this in 2009 with the stimulus. And we expect the same here.”

“The civil rights organization brought the suit on behalf of Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS). Other Democrats in Congress — including Reps. Hank Johnson (D-GA) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) — are expected to join as plaintiffs in the coming weeks.”

Politico: “The lawsuit, filed Tuesday morning in Federal District Court for the District of Columbia, alleges that Trump and Giuliani, in collaboration with the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, conspired to incite the riots to keep Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election. It claims they did so in violation of the Ku Klux Klan Act, a Reconstruction-era statute designed to protect both formerly enslaved African Americans and lawmakers in Congress from white supremacist violence.”

Fact Sheet: Biden Administration Announces Extension of COVID-19 Forbearance and Foreclosure Protections for Homeowners

FEBRUARY 16, 2021 • STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

As millions of Americans face continued hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic, President Biden is continuing to take action to help keep individuals and families in their homes. The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a housing affordability crisis. Today, 1 in 5 renters is behind on rent and just over 10 million homeowners are behind on  mortgage payments. People of color face even greater hardship and are more likely to have deferred or missed payments, putting them at greater risk of eviction and foreclosure.

Today, as part of the President’s commitment to deliver immediate relief for American families bearing the brunt of this crisis, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Agriculture announced a coordinated extension and expansion of forbearance and foreclosure relief programs. These critical protections were due to expire in March, leaving many at risk of falling further into debt and losing their homes. Now, homeowners will receive urgently needed relief as we face this unprecedented national emergency. Today’s action builds on steps the President took on Day One to extend foreclosure moratoriums for federally guaranteed mortgages.

The actions announced today will:

Extend the foreclosure moratorium for homeowners through June 30, 2021;Extend the mortgage payment forbearance enrollment window until June 30, 2021 for borrowers who wish to request forbearance;Provide up to six months of additional mortgage payment forbearance, in three-month increments, for borrowers who entered forbearance on or before June 30, 2020.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Agriculture worked in lock-step to make sure that the above actions will reach the greatest number of Americans. Last week, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the independent agency that oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, extended forbearance by three months for borrowers coming to the end of their forbearance period. These coordinated actions will cover 70 percent of existing single-family home mortgages.

President Biden is committed to protecting homeownership and housing stability as America begins to turn a painful crisis into a robust recovery. Today’s extended forbearance and foreclosure programs are an important step towards building stronger and more equitable communities.

To bolster these efforts, it is critical that Congress pass the American Rescue Plan to deliver more aid to struggling homeowners. The rescue plan creates a Homeowners Assistance Fund which will provide states with $10 billion to help struggling homeowners catch up on their mortgage payments and utility costs. This relief is critical for homeowners with mortgages in the private market who are not able to take advantage of today’s actions and may face longer term challenges.

And he does appear to have an infinite supply of gardening utensils.

And do you know he hasn't had a drink in 6,278 days ?
