Tillerson wrong on Iran nuclear agreement Fact Checkers, J Street to you
A day after the State Department confirmed that Iran was upholding its commitments under the nuclear deal, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the US was nevertheless reviewing its commitment to the deal -- providing a number of inaccurate talking points as justification.
With the security of the United States and our allies like Israel on the line, this historic agreement must not be subject to the facts-don't-matter politics of its opponents.
Trump Administration Undergoing Interagency Review of Iran Deal The U.S. Department of State certified to U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan today that Iran is compliant through April 18th with its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. However, the Secretary also raised concerns about Iran’s role as a state sponsor of terrorism and alerted Congress to an effort directed by the President to evaluate whether continuing to lift sanctions would be in U.S. national security interests.
I agree with the use of sanctions. That is appropriate and isn't a threat to use military force. My own opinion is that President Trump really wants to be a war time President. But listen folk, he stated during the campaign that he opposed the war in Iran before it started. That's not true but he did come out almost instantly after we started the ill considered war.

Trump has directed a National Security Council-led interagency review of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that will evaluate whether suspension of sanctions related to Iran pursuant to the JCPOA is vital to the national security interests of the United States."
