Progressives are such mindless kneejerks, PDT should spend the next weekend tweeting condemnations of child molesting, female genital mutilation, and setting little babies on fire. Then sit back and watch progressives fall all over themselves defending child molesting, female genital mutilation, and setting little babies on fire."

the alky said they're kneeling in protest to trump and it's like really super sincere and everything.

alky's hero david cornhole from mommy jones tweeted:

"The kneel will now become a sign of opposition to Trump"

https://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2017/09/25/yeah-thatll-show-him-david-corn-rosie-and-other-lefties-kneel-before-trump-to-resist/

so... since liberals are so intellectually superior to conservatives, they have decided to drop to their knees whenever they're in the presence of president trump.

i must say i'm kinda liking the idea. every liberal in america MUST KNEEL BEFORE TRUMP...

...says... a super smart liberal.

okey dokey.

i suspect the phones are busy in roger goodell's office today, and ben (along with many others) got a call. the NFL really screwed the pooch yesterday and that's starting to sink in. especially on the steelers, with an army ranger with 3 tours in shitholeistan under his belt being the sole patriot.

expect the stars to start coming out and walking it back this week. BIGLY.

no, it's not anti-patriotic.

just galactically fucking stupid. and egregiously selfish.

to take a solemn moment that celebrates our nation, our freedom, and our liberty, and to make it about one's self is the height of arrogance, narcissism, vulgarity, and asshole-ishness.

but no alky, it's not anti-patriotic. it's beneath even anti-patriotism.

oh, and it's racist. why you ask? because many of the protesting players were black and trump is white. so yeah, it's racist too.

I think your right, of those 200 that, sat, kneeled, picked thier asses, how many protested today on thier own time?

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league’s game operations manual, according to a league source. It states:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

goodell didn't even have the balls to enforce the NFL's own rules.

once again, trump was right. fire the sons of bitches.

Football is inherently quantifiable: passing yards, rushing yards, carries, receptions, sacks, touchdowns, wins, losses. All can be counted, compared and analyzed. But the real value of football is far greater than its statistics.

The NFL makes a difference on and off the field. As steward of a sport enjoyed by millions of fans, the NFL has a special responsibility to use its platform to promote causes that improve the health and well-being of its fans and players and support the communities in which they live.

Football has the power to positively influence players and fans of all ages. While everyone’s connection with football is personal, most stories share common themes:

Football unites millions of people who forget their personal differences each week and come together to watch their favorite sport.

Football inspires by showcasing the camaraderie, leadership, commitment and hard work that lead to success on the field and in life.

Football builds character by teaching lessons that last a lifetime — teamwork, sportsmanship and the importance of staying active and healthy.

Football creates lasting memories; fans will always remember when they first became a fan of the game, their favorite team, or their favorite player.

The NFL is committed to preserving these and many other qualities that make football great. And football gives back — the game, the league, its teams and its players all play important roles by raising money, giving their time and volunteering in their communities.

The NFL does this for its players and its fans, and to honor the proud legacy of a sport that has changed lives and created millions of fans and players around the globe. We do this for football, a sport with value beyond the numbers.

Fans don’t watch NFL games to track fines and suspensions; they tune in to see two teams leave it all on the field for 60 minutes. Contests marred by dangerous or unprofessional behavior take away from the greatness of the NFL.

The NFL and the NFL Players Association agree: Making sure players and staff conduct themselves in a manner that honors the game and safeguards it for future generations is a priority. This shared responsibility and commitment results in a great game, enjoyed by fans worldwide.

Senate Republicans admit defeat on health bill as Collins declares her opposition.

BREAKING: Senate Republicans admitted defeat late Monday afternoon in their latest attempt to undo the Affordable Care Act, even as they aired the plan’s details at a raucous hearing before the Finance Committee.

The panel’s chairman Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) told reporters that he did not think the measure would come up for a floor vote by the end of the week, after which point Republicans lose the budget authority they need to pass a health-care bill by a simply majority. A short time later, Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) announced she would not support the legislation.

Both developments followed in quick succession a forecast by the Congressional Budget Office, which predicted that the bill would reduce insurance coverage by “millions” by 2026, as well as lower the federal deficit by at least the $133 billion of an earlier House bill.

Senate Republicans aired the details of the latest effort to undo the Affordable Care Act at a raucous hearing before the Senate Finance Committee on Monday, with little evidence that the last-minute changes would secure enough votes for the legislation’s passage.

Of at least four Republican senators seen as crucial to the bill’s success, none indicated Monday that they were any closer to backing the proposal after its sponsors, Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), rewrote portions of it in an effort to win their support.

This is a victory for he American People And the President's primary campaign prommis to immmedaty repeal and replace Obamacare. There are some Republicans with a conscious, just enough of them to keep the United States of America from a health care disaster.

Most Americans -- 52 percent -- disapprove of the Graham-Cassidy health care bill, according to a CBS News Poll conducted between Sept. 21 and 24.

Only 20 percent of those polled said they approved of the Republican legislation aimed at repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act signed into law by President Obama.

Major health care groups united in opposition to GOP bill
Overall, more than a quarter of those surveyed by CBS News declined to give an opinion of the GOP bill, but those who did express an opinion said they disapproved by more than two to one.

The proposal the Senate is considering that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act will result in millions losing health insurance and a $133 billion reduction in the deficit by 2026, according to the Congressional Budget Office's report on the Graham-Cassidy legislation.

The CBO did not have enough time to estimate specifically how many people's insurance would be affected as they have done when they have scored previous repeal bills. But, the analysis it released Monday evening says, "the number of people with comprehensive health insurance that covers high-cost medical events would be reduced by millions" compared to current law.

The bill, known as Graham-Cassidy, would dismantle the major components of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. Gone would be the subsidies that help people buy insurance, the mandate that requires people to be covered and the expansion of Medicaid.

All the money from those programs would be rolled up and redistributed to states in the form of block grants. Each state would then decide how to spend those funds. Because of that, says the CBO, the number of people who lose health insurance, "could vary widely depending on how states implemented the legislation."

The bill also changes Medicaid by capping the federal contribution by giving states a fixed amount per person and increasing it at a rate that is slower than health care inflation.

CBO says it can't do a complete analysis of the plan in the short window requested by lawmakers. Senate Republicans are looking to vote on the bill this week, before a deadline at the end of September would require they get support from Democrats to be able to pass the legislation.

Earlier proposals to overhaul the health care system failed in part because the CBO analyses showed tens of millions of people were likely to lose insurance coverage because of the proposed changes. The major drivers of those losses, according to the CBO, were the loss of the individual mandate that requires people to buy insurance and the rollback of the expansion of Medicaid that was allowed under Obamacare.

The latest proposal includes both provisions, so some analysts say the results will be the same.

"With less money, fewer people will be covered. That's just math," says Nicholas Bagley, a law professor at the University of Michigan who specializes in health law. "And since Graham-Cassidy is a lot less money, a lot fewer people will get covered."

An analysis by the Brookings Institution estimates that about 21 million people would lose coverage under Graham-Cassidy compared to the current law through 2026, and eventually 32 million people would lose it due to the block grant funding changes.

And a separate report by the health care consulting firm Avalere Health estimates that states would lose about $700 billion in federal health care funding over 10 years, and $3.5 trillion over 20 years.

The bill's sponsors, senators Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Bill Cassidy, R-La, introduced a revised bill on Monday. "Whatever the CBO score is will be superseded by another score later this week," Cassidy said on ABC's This Week on Sunday.

“lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!” “lock him up!”

Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a White House senior adviser, has used his personal email account to conduct official government business, his lawyer acknowledged on Sunday.

The lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said that Mr. Kushner, using the personal account, had received or sent “fewer than a hundred emails” involving his White House colleagues over the first seven months of the administration. Mr. Lowell said the emails were all forwarded to Mr. Kushner’s official account, creating a record.

The use of the personal account was first reported by Politico.

Mr. Kushner is not the only official in the Trump White House who has been found to have used private email or text messaging for government business, a situation that has raised questions about the administration’s preservation of records. But Mr. Kushner is the person closest to the president to have his personal email use become public.

As a candidate, Mr. Trump aggressively attacked Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, for her use of private email while she was secretary of state. Some of Mr. Trump’s allies outside the White House are urging him to press for a prosecution of Mrs. Clinton, even though an F.B.I. investigation into her handling of classified information has been closed. At Mr. Trump’s rallies, his supporters still break into cheers of “lock her up!”
