This time it was all about the rumor that the Russians used cyber-warfare and "targeted" the election results in 21 states. This prompted many on the left to demand full scale investigations into why the government covered these nefarious actions up. There were even more than a few calls to have the election results "nullified" based on this grand new scandal of information.
Only problem is that it wasn't actually true. The Department of Homeland security "did" in fact tell 21 states that their computer security was at risk, and that there was evidence that foreign agents (including some IP addresses tied to the Russians) had scanned their systems possibly looking for breaches of security that they could hack past. But as far as anyone has been told, none of the systems being scanned had anything to do with the election or their election records or their election results, and there was not any actual evidence that anything other than scanning was done.
It begs the question. Will the left "ever" really get over the 2016 election loss?
