Rosenstein tells Trump he is not target in either Russian or Cohen probes...

Liberals claim Rosenstein either:
  • Doesn't know the truth
  • Lied about the truth
  • Misstated the truth
  • Doesn't understand the truth

The Democratic National Committee is suing the Russian government, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks, alleging that the three entities conspired to help President Trump win the 2016 election.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the DNC filed the multi-million dollar lawsuit in federal district court in Manhattan.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.

“This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency."

You know what it means? It means they think the special counsel hit a dry hole and they want to keep the story alive.

As a legal issue the suit is DOA. As a political strategy it's pretty damn iffy.

So, is Roger going to spam every thread FIVE more times today with this?

LOL, this is GREAT.

Just more proof that democrats are a bunch of fruitcakes.

Have any "Liberals" actually claimed that Trump IS a target of the Cohen criminal investigation? Given that the Mueller team didn't even want it ...

What it sounds to me like, job security for top FBI officials depends on telling Trump that he isn't a criminal target, and repeating that in public.

I believe almost all of them originally believed it would tie back to Trump. Many still do.

I remember specifically arguing that if Trump was tied to Cohen and a crime associated with the 2016 election, that he would not have turned this over to other authorities. Some people on this site disagreed with me.

So you think that they think that some "easter egg" is going to pop up in all of those documents, and it will wind its way back-channel somehow to Mueller, who can't use it against Trump directly, nor anything he finds out as a result of it, because it was privileged?

Even for "Liberals" it would be more logical that Mueller's referral and the warrant (if Mueller had anything to do with that) is a pretty good indication that Mueller is sure that Cohen did NOT have anything incriminating Trump.

Unless we're going completely off the deep end and expecting Mueller to attack Trump through illegal leaks of Cohen's privileged communications. Or off the deep end of the OTHER side of the pool and believe that hardly any of it is privileged and that was just the easy way to get his hands on it. I haven't seen any (otherwise sane seeming) people going quite that far.

Even for liberals like Roger, Denny, and James?

The game plan for 2018 election is simple, Elect US to Impeach Trump.

Wow. "President Trump vowed Saturday that his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, will not “flip” and cooperate against him in the special counsel investigation"

So Trump is under the impression that this Cohen raid is about the special investigation with respect to himself. And Trump is confident that Cohen won't give up anything incriminating. That he won't "cooperate".

Oh yeah, he gives lip service to "flip ... even if it means lying or making up stories", as if that's what it would be about. LOL.

And you wonder why we think that Trump acts like a mob boss.

If you actually read the tweets, they were directed at the New York Times not the DOJ or the special counsel.

But don't let the facts get in the way WP.

The New York Times and a third rate reporter named Maggie Haberman, known as a Crooked H flunkie who I don’t speak to and have nothing to do with, are going out of their way to destroy Michael Cohen and his relationship with me in the hope that he will “flip.” They use non-existent “sources” and a drunk/drugged up loser who hates Michael, a fine person with a wonderful family. Michael is a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected. Most people will flip if the Government lets them out of trouble, even if it means lying or making up stories. Sorry, I don’t see Michael doing that despite the horrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!

Well thank you James. I sure it didn't get the effect you wanted but thanks anyway.

If you read the articles and then the Trump statement... what is missing from the articles is the fact he is responding to a NY Times article (which I read) that suggested Cohen might even go so far as to make up information in order to avoid prosecution.

The implication is that Trump is using the word "flip" in normal context (which would be that Cohen has incriminating evidence about him)...

When in fact he seems to be responding directly to the claim in the Times article that Cohen would be willing to make things up to avoid prison. Which they declared to be a matter of "flipping".

Just another reason why Trump should't tweet this sort of stuff. Someone will always take what you write out of context. Many people make a living out of doing just that.

Two people missing the point. Why is Trump so worried about Cohen cooperating with the Mueller probe, that's the point.

If the man wasn't stupid or mentally unbalanced as the case may be, he'd have said that there was nothing Cohen could say that would be of interest to the probe. I read the Times article. There wasn't even a suggestion that Cohen would "make stuff up". You two are laughably taking Trump's unhinged tweeting as representing some kind of hidden truth.

Right again.
